Ended up getting to see Wreck It Ralph and Frozen in the past couple of days, they were both enjoyable movies. Went to K's for a Memorial Day BBQ. Good fun and times as usual.

So there's this site that calculates the total number of hours you've spent watching TV shows. I don't know if this is the site [livejournal.com profile] clevemire had asked me about a few weeks ago. But in any case, I got 401 days, and 55 minutes. A little over a year, that's not too bad, I don't think.

Of course, its a totally inaccurate number, because some of those shows I haven't seen every episode of. But on the other side of things, I didn't count anything before I started watching TV "relgiiously". So nothing from the 80s, and pre-1997 I only counted a handful of shows that I could say I saw most if not all of- X-files, B5, Wings, Friends, Seinfeld, Married w/ Children, Fraiser. But for the most part, I just plugged in all the TV shows on my list of TV shows I watch/favorite shows I used to watch, plus a few that I watched most of but wouldn't really qualify as "favorite shows that ended/got canceled" like Hercules, Xena, Charmed, and Heroes (which again, I didn't see all of) as well as current shows I watch like Almost Human and The Following and the Mentalist, but wouldn't necessarily put on a favorite shows list like 10 years from now.

I figure [livejournal.com profile] clevemire's number is close to mine. We watch a lot of the same shows, but there are some shows I watch he doesn't, and vice-versa. Actually, I bet his is bigger, because he seeks out new TV to watch, whereas I'm content with watching re-runs of SVU and Castle and other crime procedurals on TNT and USA.

TV commentary:

Continuum- Is it wrong that I think Emily is hotter now that they've revealed more of her past and she was this crazy bad-ass criminal? But damn if that Alec stuff doesn't have her confused. spoiler cut )

What the frick, I just moved to Old Reader, and now its possibly shutting down. Owel, thankfully switching to Feedly was easy enough.

TV commentary:

Continuum- Finally, they're starting to address old plot threads. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Breaking Bad- Heh, just started on season 5. After the stuff Walt has pulled throughout the seasons, I can no longer tell if he's being sincere anymore, or if everything he says is a manipulation to get people to do what he wants.

Continuum- Is it me, or is there so much stuff going on in this show now? spoiler cut )

Dexter- Woah, I totally guessed wrong. spoiler cut )

The Fosters- Ah, my guess about Callie was right! spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Perception- This ep aggravated me a little. spoiler cut )

Burn Notice- spoiler cut )

Continuum- You know, I hate the whole "if one could go back in time, they have to kill Hitler" thing. No, that's a terrible idea. Yes, its one of the most horrible atrocities in history, but what makes that so special compared to all the other atrocities in history? Didn't Stalin slaughter more people overall? Why not kill him? Besides, its just arrogant to think changing this one thing will make the world better. WW2 caused a lot of loss of life, but I hate to say it, but with war comes technological advance and political change. Who knows what the world will be like if you killed him. There's just too many unknowns at this point now. Like, if you were like a year or two after WW2, going back to kill Hitler won't change the word too much by your view. But 50-60 years now? Who knows what the eff you're doing to the world? It will surely be so different from the world you know.
