Continuum- Wait, so when did the non-loop Alec become evil? Like I can see him being someone there for the science and technology- like he's not going to "hold back" when he could come up with even further advancements. And being mad at them for trying to stop him. But what the shit, saying he'll kill Emily, and if looping Alec tries to go back and save her, he'll just kill her again. What the hell would bring on such spitefulness?
And then being all, "Your future dies with me!" to Kiera before he died. Again, I know she was working against him, but what's with him being so cruel? Also, he can't think she believes he would still create he future? He was already jumping the tech ahead, and vastly changing history, so he already effed up her future.
In any case, it was neat to see everyone, even Liber8, team up to take non-loop Alec down. Though I was unsure why they didn't take into account the possibility that activating the beacon might cause something else from a different timeline to show up. I mean, I understand the logic- if he activates it, then he's basically asking for backup. But if no one answers his call, then that means the future is changed, and no came back because there was no one to hear it? But he has no idea how that thingie works. Lets say he's sending the signal to the future, how does he know people in the new timeline created won't answer being all, "What the hell is this weird signal? We should check it out!" Like maybe knowing about time travel, and the freelancers being wiped out, maybe they made a timecop agency or something in the future.
I mean, it is entirely possible they didn't change the timeline at all. Interestingly enough, they assumed non-loop Sadler was responsible for the future Brad is from, and Kellogg just randomly rose to power. But if Kellogg was already forcing Sadler out, it means Alec wasn't in charge really. It would explain how Kellogg was this big leader, and how Brad had never heard of Sadler.
Of course, it sounds like Liber8 might be mucking with the timeline again too. They worked with Kiera against Alec, but then they took over Freelancer HQ, and are working on trying to rebuild the tech there.
I guess we'll have to see where this goes.
