Wow, its been a while since I've posted. Work has been keeping me busy, plus all the TV and video games and Transformers collecting. I haven't even posted about going up to New York for the holidays. Though it was pretty uneventful. Didn't go into the city or see a show for some reason. Pops was sick so didn't get to see any movies either. Between that and [profile] 7500centfish not even being around for NYE, ended up having New Year's at the Parentals. Delicious variety of food though.

Everyone was around for Christmas, usually one of the cousins has a shift or something. And [profile] durlxnemesis's gf was visiting from Italy, so the fam got to finally meet her.

But yeah, after getting back to the ATL, just been crazy busy at work- having to interview and hire a couple of new people for my team, writing a proposal, plus with the Servicenow onboarding and Rich move out looming, have a bunch of stuff to do for that.

TV commentary:

CAOS- The weirdest thing about this season of Sabrina was all the musical numbers. Not that I have a problem with that, it just seemed out of nowhere. Definitely interesting to see where they're going with this. spoiler cut )

Doctor Who- Definitely curious what's going on this season! spoiler cut )

Stumptown- Nice! spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Heh, nice way to end things for that character. spoiler cut )

Legacies- Awesome ep last night. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Criminal Minds- So I had been totally unaware of the casting changes over the summer, so I was a little surprised by this ep! spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Criminal Minds- Heh, they kinda answer it, but they don't. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

The Originals- Forgot to comment on this. spoiler cut )

Pretty Little Liars- Gross. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Criminal Minds- Hmm, interesting. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Drunk History- Is it me, or was there something strangely hot about Aubrey Plaza and Alia Shawkat playing Burr and Hamilton, respectively?

Frequency- Is it me, or is Daniel kinda out his mind? spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Ugh, this guy! spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

Arrow- aav('WHAAATTT!!?') spoiler cut )

Lethal Weapon- What the hell, I swear, Hilarie Burton will be in things, and I totally won't recognize her until I see her name in the credits, and then its like obvious it was her. I mean, when she first showed up, I totally though it was someone who looked like Kim from Better Call Saul. It was the same when Hilarie Burton was on Castle. It totally didn't look like her at first, but then once I looked it up, it did. Its like some sort of magic filter or something!

Frequency- I know why they did it, but it doesn't really make sense. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Finally! spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

Arrow- Digg is ridiculous. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Poor Reid! spoiler cut )

SVU- You know, sometimes it annoys me when the shows tries to make things grey, because I feel its freaking harmful overall. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Yay, Emily is finally back! spoiler cut )

So, this is an interesting quiz- choosing what a self-driving car should do depending on different scenarios.

So the scenarios change each time. Like the first time I took it, it was just the barrier or the crosswalk. The second time through I got questions where its people crossing illegally vs legally. Which at first I was, well, go down the path where the car has the right of way according to the light. But then there were questions where it was criminals or animals crossing legally vs like children or pregnant ladies crossing illegally.

So that did cause the evaluation preferences at the end to fluctuate. Like the first couple times through, I showed a preference for traffic law over the average, like why should the car swerve and kill its occupants for someone who shouldn't have been in the street in the first place? But another time I tried, the scenarios I got ended up having me choose to save the people crossing illegally more often than previous due to their makeup. Like a bunch of criminals in the car vs kids. Of course, I wish it was more granular. Are these "criminals" in the middle of a crime, or are they people with extensive criminal records (or worse, people that "look" like criminals) but aren't currently committing a crime?

So far my most consistent pick throughout is a preference of humans vs animals.

TV commentary:

Criminal Minds- Heartbreaking ep. And interesting, given what I was just talking about above. spoiler cut )

Frequency- Haven't seen this yet, but one of the biggest changes from the movie is that the characters are changed from Mets fans to Yankees fans. Of course, I guess since the timeline was also moved up from 1969/1999 to 1996/2016, they couldn't do the whole son telling the dad about the 69 World Series.

Arrow- Heh, I thought they were caught up from the past? spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Lethal Weapon- Seriously, show? Though the transparency does crack me up. spoiler cut )

SVU- Okay, that SVU was just confusing as hell. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Ah, according to my sources, Hotch is only in the first two eps. spoiler cut )

Okay, so last week, it blew my mind that Chris Pine was the son of the sarge from CHiPs. Now today my mind is even more blown that Amber Stevens (Rossi's daughter on Criminal Minds/Ice Cube's daughter on 22 Jump St. Or Ashleigh for you Greek fans) is freaking Shadoe Stevens' daughter. Like yes they have the same last name, but like Chris and Robert Pine where I would never think of her and Shadoe at the same time and thus not think about how they have the same last name, additionally Shadoe is a white dude and Amber is mixed. I mean, I assumed one of her parents was caucasian, I just didn't expect that parent to be Shadoe Stevens of Hollywood Squares fame.

TV commentary:

Arrow- Heh, I curbed myself, but this ep did get my blood boiling to "guy who tried to rob Doctor Who after he miraculously managed to win all that money to try and save his church on the leftovers" and "Roving gang led by Mr Friendly on TWD" levels. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Like Arrow, this ep similarly pissed me off. spoiler cut )

The Americans- Heh, that was an underwhelming end to the arc, but there were a few surprises! spoiler cut )

Supernatural- Ah, so they finally confirmed it! spoiler cut )
