Criminal Minds- Talk about unlucky in love! Or perhaps the writers forgot previous episodes! Tara had an ex-druggie ex-husband? I'm not sure it fits with the timeline they've established for her life, but whatever. So like she marries an addict in college, gets divorced, and then she finds someone else, gets engaged, but he breaks it off because of her work?! And all this while doing her research and helping out her brother in addition to her FBI duties?!
Riverdale- Talk about a trouble magnet! Seriously, Archie and Jughead just happen to wander into a town where apparently all the menfolk have left to work for Hiriam in construction and drug making? And so he almost gets captured when he lets some hot farm girl get too close? Lucky for him Jug has some sense.
Veronica's speakeasy also does gambling now, much to Pops chagrin. He warns V to be careful, especially since Manetta's body was found. Supposed body, as it was decapitated and missing its hands, so it can't be identified yet.
Also, he scam confuses me. So the guy she went to for money to start her casino endeavor went there with the intent of fleecing her, so I thought he was working with the dealer to do so. But apparently the dealer was actually working with Ronnie, so the guy just thought he had a really hot streak?! Like it would make more sense if they said he was working with the dealer, but the dealer was a double agent.
And Betty, poor Betty. She does her investigating at the SoQM, and discovers things like the girls being used as guinea pigs for fizzle rocks and some of the connections between Hiram and Claudius and the SoQM. She's actually pretty chill the whole time, given the circumstances. Just doing her investigating until she could escape. Which, that was her fatal mistake!
Like, she knew about the secret exit from when her dear cousin Cheryl escaped, so she thought she could get out any time. Like maybe verify the passage hasn't been bricked up yet! And she was so clever at everything else. But now she's all drugged up and a thrall of the Gargoyle King, whoops!
