TV commentary:
Criminal Minds- Hmm, interesting. I didn't expect things to still be unresolved with Reid's case. (And since he was down in Mexico for his own business, he won't have access to Bureau representation, which they act like its a big deal, but Rossi is rich, and between the lot of them they prolly have a bunch of contacts that could get him top notch representation not affiliated with the bureau)
Heh, its funny, because while this totally seems like a thing Mr. Scratch would do to one of them, they're acting like he's not involved. I guess it could come around that he somehow does have a hand in it. But yeah, I like how they're all, "Maybe this lady hid her identity because a bunch of 'holistic practitioners have disappeared or died and they think its a conspiracy by Big Pharma!" and it hasn't occurred to them they may have inadvertently stumbled onto an actual serial killer targeting such folks?!
The 100- Ooh, some interesting developments this ep. So back in Polis, someone stole the flame, because Roan apparently just had it lying around during training. WTF! He believes its a flame-keeper, which I guess is no longer just some dude hanging out with the Commander but has been retconned into a whole cult. So, Roan sends out Octavia, who has been dubbed "Skairaipa", death from above, to handle it.
She confronts the thief, who tells Octavia she recognizes her style because she knows it well. Why? We find out when Octavia knocks her down and is about to kill her. Turns out this Gaia girl is Indra's daughter, so Indra stays Octavia's hand! They had a falling out because Gaia wanted to be a flamekeeper, while Indra wanted a warrior daughter. Gaia twists the knife all, "Guess you found the daughter you always wanted!" while motioning to Octavia. Its a pretty interesting development.
Anyways, even if she returns it (which she refuses to do!), Azgeda will still come after Gaia. Luckily, a solution comes in the form of Illian's stupid anti-technology gang. They bust in and take the flame, seemingly destroying it. But, luckily Octavia came up with a plan to switch it with the replica flame keepers like Gaia wear. So, Gaia gets to flee with the real flame, while Octavia ends up decapitating one of the anti-tech looters later and presenting his head and the pieces of the flame to Roan saying she was unable to stop the guy from destroying it before she killed him. So Roan is all, then a whole lot more people are going to die to keep the peace, something Skairipa seems totally fine with.
Back at Arkadia, Nyko shows up with Luna and the remainder of her people, the boat people dying of some sort of sickness. Since Nyko didn't know what it was, he took them to Arkadia to see if they could help. Turns out they're dying of acute radiation sickness, which they contracted from eating tainted fish. This is troublesome for Skaikrew because it causes Raven to review her estimates, and they only have two months at most to fix the Ark.
Meanwhile, Murph and Emori are out in the wilderness, and Emori expresses surprise and discontent at the lack of animals to hunt. There's not even bugs. Because they don't know about the radiation levels rising. So, Murph says he'll sneak into Arkadia to steal food- he's always been a better thief than hunter.
He sneaks into the supply room and overhears a conversation between Abby and Raven- Abby wants to use some of the radiation med on Echo's people. Raven refuses, saying they need them for the coming times and those meds need to be taken within 24 hours anyways, so its too late for them. Abby argues its just less effective, but Raven counters, even if they save them now, they'll just be dead in two months.
So now Murphy knows. He ends up secretly stealing the meds and giving them to Abby. She only uses one dose first, on a little girl in the group, if it works on her then they'll waste more. Jackson remarks on how its an interesting coincidence given Murphy's father was floated for stealing meds to save Murphy. Anyways, the meds don't work, and all of Echo's people die. Echo somehow survives, and they figure out it must have something to do with her nightblood. So Abby wants to do some tests, which given O just released Indra's daughter, who's job was to find nightbloods, into the wild, this nightblood thing will prolly lead to something.
Anyways, Murph goes back to Emori saying they're heading back to Arkadia. He tells her everything, and she gets his plan- they make themselves invaluable, in order to secure a place in the Ark. He's already working on getting in Abby's good graces. Of course, it might be moot, because it looks like Clark finally made a list.
Why? Heh, Raven cruelly tells her she needs to make a list of who gets a place, because she's good at deciding who lives and who dies. Which is a pretty low blow. Clarke keeps putting it off, hoping another solution presents itself. And Jaha may have one. He says he may know of a large shelter they could seek refuge in. It wasn't on the list of potential places the 100 were supposed to check out, because it wasn't a government bunker. It was built by doomsday cult before the war to ride out the end times.
They find it, but it turns out it was a fool's errand. The cult leader was either a charlatan or deluded. In any case, the bunker wasn't sealed and the cultists died of radiation poisoning decades ago. Since Raven was against this side quest, Clarke promised to make the list if it didn't work out. It didn't, so she did. We see her get up to 99 and 100. She puts down Bellamy as 99, and he says he'll only go in if she puts herself as 100. After much convincing, she capitulates. And then she just tucks that list away in a desk, where it can easily be found by someone and cause the shit to hit the fan!
