Continuum- HA, I totally forgot that!! I did not remember at all that Escher was Alec's real father. Which is kinda hilarious because it does seem like Escher's murder was a plot between Kellogg and Emily, and Kiera confronts him all, Alec won't be too pleased when he finds out you had something to do with the death of his father. Which he in turn uses to blackmail Emily to stay under his thumb. Because now she's freaked that Alec will never forgive her if he ever finds out. And like I said, its funny, because she thinks Alec will be mad. When future Alec has no reaction to it at all.

Like when Carlos meets with Future Alec and Future Kiera, he mentions Escher being murdered, and they're all, "Escher's dead?!" and that's literally the only reaction we ever get from Alec about the development. I mean, it seems present Alec is a little less cynical (even though its only been a week!), so I guess the version that didn't have his gf killed and dealt with all the crap at the end of last season might be more upset finding out Escher was his dad and got killed.

Anyways, while I guess Carlos didn't know the details yet, I thought him asking future Kiera which one was the one that was his partner this whole time was amusing, because they both were! I'm not sure why Kiera had to act all vague, saying "I know you just as well as her", as if they were different. Its not like she's from an alternate reality (well, from his point of view), she's just the same girl, only a week in the future.

I'm still trying to piece the time line together, and I think I've already noticed a flaw. It seems when they jumped back in time, it was right after they took down Lucas. But, the meeting between Kellogg and Escher at the Art Gallery happened after that in the premiere, when in the original timeline, it was before, because Kellogg met with Lucas and Sonya after. And I can't see any thing that them going back changed that would have delayed that meeting to after Lucas got taken down. Well, I guess he had that one convo with future Alec in the lab, which as I said before seemed like it got his wheels turning and thinking that he was talking to an Alec from the future, which made him not only delay his meeting with Escher, but sever ties with Sonya.

The reason I'm trying to get the timeline pieced together, is that they're in the "past" now. Why wouldn't this stuff with the mayor have happened in the original time line? Did Escher's death and Alec hiding the suit change what they were going to do? Because Sonya and Travis did get back together after Lucas was arrested but before Emily got killed (which is the day they're on now) Looking at the recaps, I guess Kellogg originally met with Sonya to warn her about Escher, but since he has no reason to contact Sonya now, and Garza got back with Travis and Sonya, they went ahead with their own plans rather than have to worry about Escher or anything. I was more wondering why that slimy lawyer wouldn't have met with Helo originally.

Or maybe he did, but it wasn't important before, and besides Sonya and Travis would be too busy dealing with getting back the time travel device and the freelancers and stuff to put forth the plan they did in this ep. Also, since this is effectively a new time line, I guess Carlos does not know Betty is the mole anymore? And that's not something future Kiera knew either.

Owel, other stuff- Kellogg definitely knows about the existence of future Alec and future Kiera. Heh, he does the whole thing where he talks about the two Alecs to Kiera, and she's all "How did you know?" and he's all, "I didn't, until just now!" I'm still trying to figure out what he meant by the whole line, "I'm smart, I did the math, some things are obvious when you pay attention and time travel is involved" Like he was just further elaborating how he suspected there were two Alecs, or was he being all cryptic and telling her a message? Because Kiera asks, "What's that supposed to mean?" when he says the line about doing the math, which makes me think he's not just talking about figuring out the Alec thing.

Also, we see how Kiera became a cop. Heh, apparently her mom had contraband, which was found by some state debt collectors or whatever. But then Kiera demonstrates her knowledge of the law, and was all, "Oh, I wasn't trying to hide it, I was about to give it to you, because that sort of thing is illegal!" (Which, was it printed/video media of something in particular, or was printed/video media outlawed for some reason in the future?) Then she talks about wanting to sign up, and she wouldn't want this on her record. So, the guy is willing to look the other way to get a new recruit, even sweetening the pot by saying if she puts her file in, he can even forgive some of her mom's debt.

So she does. At first, her mom was all, you didn't have to do that to protect me. But Kiera is all, "Bitch, please! I wasn't trying to protect your seditious ass, I want to join the military!"
