TV commentary:

Continuum- Argh, this show can be so frustrating! So, we finally find out what the future soldiers are trying to build- a portal to bring people from their timeline to the present. Heh, maybe its because we the audience know amongst that list is Brad's sister and nephews, who are prolly not soldiers, or maybe I'm just trusting. But its like, cynical much, Kiera and Carlos? They're all, "Oh, that's what they needed all that blood and those medical supplies for! Things an invading army would need!" Well, sure, but what the shit, its also things refugees fleeing from a fucked up future would need! Like I said, maybe I'm wrong and/or being influenced by info the gang doesn't have, but seriously, if I heard a gate was opening from a terrible future, and the people opening the gate had been stealing medical supplies, I would not think, "Oh, how logistical, they're picking up supplies they would need to support an invasion force!" I would think its to help hurt people coming through the portal!!

Also frustrating, Alec saying, I can use this portal to send you home! They keep saying that, but again HOW?!! And why!?! First, that's not her future the portal is opened to! But lets say the stuff about the Traveler implies you can jump timelines, and shifting dimensions to her timeline is possible? From what she learned, isn't her timeline kinda fucked up?! I mean, things are cool for her. But it did seem like Liber8 had a point, and I thought Kiera's eyes were opened after all her adventures here. Like, okay, she'd be reunited with her son, but now that she knows what she knows, does she really want to be in a future where the corps are doing effed up things? Then again, like I said, compared to other people, she's sitting pretty.

But that future is also occupied by an old Alec who realizes this future is messed up and wanted to change it, wouldn't he be incredibly confused? Interesting thing with the Traveler though, putting present Alec in touch with pre-plan Alec. Though also paradoxical. It sounds like old Alec wouldn't have gone through with his plan unless he was contacted by present Alec and they had a chance to talk. Like it sounded the older Alec wasn't sure, and this meeting was the kick in the ass he needed to finally go through with it.

Anyways, Jason reveals to Alec that he sent Emily away since she's not his mother. And we find out his actual mother is some girl named Annie. Which argh, the timeline doesn't work! I guess the writers forget future Jason isn't actually 40 when he gets sent back. Then again, I guess in this future people are healthier, so maybe they can have babies well into their 50s, which is how old she would have to be fore the timeline to work? But that also doesn't mesh with what happened- she found out who Alec really was, tried to run with Jason, and eventually took her own life. They also said Alec meets her in his 30s. The only way that works is if future Jason is in his 40s. Which makes me think the authors totally forgot their own shit. Because either Jason was born in the 2030s/40s, or for some reason, Alec meets her, they're together for like 20 years before 1) she has Jason and 2) "she realizes who he is", which doesn't make much sense.

But heh, I know I complain, but I'm still curious how it all ends up!

curious what you'll think of the ending. I found it rather disappointing. It went way off track from S1/2 to S3.

Yeah, it definitely went off the rails as the seasons went on. I feel the writers definitely forgot things they had established earlier. I also think they haven't thought things through. The biggest being how can Kiera go home if they've already established the timeline has changed.

Have all the eps leaked somewhere? At least they knew it was the last season, so I'm presuming there aren't too many things left hanging.

I watched the 3 seasons on Netflix. ...and yes, they completely changed things in S3. I thought the first two seasons were interesting concepts. It was all going forward, then just went sideways...
