Continuum- What is going on?! So, if I'm remembering right, a few episodes ago, looper Alec decoded the stream from dead Kiera's CMR to his computers to determine Curtis shot her. And I thought he pretty much admitted it, saying it was necessary? But then current Alec was able to decode from the CMR he took from dead Kiera's head that it was John Doe who shot her. What the?! Was the Curtis footage faked? Where there multiple Kieras? Like to see the stream, they had to parse out the different signals. And they found one where Curtis shot her. I suppose that could've come from yet another CMR, even though it was in the lab.
But since Alec got that one CMR directly from her head, that Kiera seems like she was definitely killed by the amnesia guy. Its so confusing, unless I totally missed something. But yeah, he's already to tell Kiera, but she's pissed because she realized he stole the CMR and feels ultra violated, and not only that, sees through his idea of doing a "send-off" to hide the evidence and is insulted he'd try to fool them like that. And so he tells her nothing. Which, does he know she's actually been living with amnesia guy, and thus needs to know that this guy killed her, lest he do it again, particularly since they gave him flash to get his memories back?
And what the? Kiera keeps talking about getting back to her family, like she's all hopeful and stuff, but she seems to have abandoned the whole trying not to let the future change thing, which at this point it seems like that ship has sailed and her future is fucked. I mean, I guess the freelancers seemed to indicate time sorta self-corrects, little changes mean nothing in the scheme of things. So like Kellogg's grandmother or whoever dying way back when and I guess causing him not to be born (unless she really wasn't his grandma) wouldn't change history, but the Alec stuff with the companies could. But that doesn't mean her own history wouldn't be changed- she's a nobody, so if I were her I'd worry that the future is mostly the same, but her personal history is still fucked.
But yeah, it seems like they're starting to change things big time, what with Alec jumpstarting Halo a decade early. That and them getting into a war with the precursors of the Corporate Congress. And things are changing on both sides, what with Alec offering Julian a position in his company.
24- Ha, what the?! So in Jack's secret we can only do it my way mission, he asks for Kate, since she seemed to be able to handle herself. And before things went sideways, all he needed from her was to allow herself to be drugged by Jack to be used as an unconscious prop! Although I guess for Jack, there are two kinds of people, those who do whatever he says, and those who get in his way, and I supposed he asked for Kate because she was prolly the only one crazy enough to agree to be knocked out and given to a gangster?
But ha, I like how Stephen Fry finds out President Heller's alzheimer's and thus wants to spy on this crazy plan he has cooked up with Jack Bauer, and sees him capture Kate, and thus thinks Heller is some old kook who let Jack snow him. Still, even though they mucked up things, I guess if they hadn't gone there and knocked out Jack's partner, he would've sniped the guys torturing Kate (who ended up being okay), too early for the bossman to put in the code and ruining the plan.
But surprise, surprise, so it turns out Kate's husband was framed, and Navarro is a secret bad guy. Now, is he associated with Catelyn Stark, or is it a weird coincidence, he just happens to be a different bad guy? Although its rare that things on this show don't connect up. I mean, even if that stuff is separate, there might be some connection with his secret evil bosses knowing about what Catelyn Stark is doing.
Indeed, I'm suspicious about the fact that they gave the Brits all those proprietary codes in order to help with the search for the drones. Like now I'm thinking some other element in the British Government manipulated things so in letting Cat do this, the Americans would be forced to turn over those secrets. Granted it doesn't make sense because how would they know Jack would foil things, but this is 24. They constantly had secret secondary plans that only would make sense if they knew Jack was going to eff up their original plan.
