What the frick, I just moved to Old Reader, and now its possibly shutting down. Owel, thankfully switching to Feedly was easy enough.

TV commentary:

Continuum- Finally, they're starting to address old plot threads. They finally figure out Gardiner's dead, unfortunately, the freelancers have done a total frame up on Kiera as the killer. They also finally touch upon Betty being the mole. Not that she does anything mole-y, but with all this evidence pointing to Kiera being involved with Liber8, Betty is all, "Hmm, they prolly think that because she has some views that are in line with Liber8? And that's not bad right?", trying to feel out Carlos. And they finally address Jason possibly being Alec's dad. According to the DNA test, yes. But who knows, with all the shadowy stuff going on, Escher or the freelancers or someone else coulda intercepted his request and made it look like Jason was his dad.

Anyways, Escher won't let Emily go, and now Kellogg knows about her and threatens to expose her. Turns out she's just some chick with a shady past whom Escher hired and trained. She is apparently unaware of this time travel shit. She first tells Alec to run away with her, and he's ready for it, but then he's first delayed by the news about Jason being his dad, and then by Travis showing up- Kellog gave Alec up, saying Alec could hook Travis up to Elena's suit, which he could use to go after Escher.

Emily holds her own far better than I expected against Travis, but he still whips her ass. Alec agrees to link him up, but knowing Travis will just kill them afterward, shocks him and then runs off with Em and the time travel device. Only he apparently did enough so that Travis was able to link to the suit. So now he has a suit. Smooth move, ex-lax. Besides having the fancy suit powers, he knows how to track Kiera.

They run off to Jason's, where they learn the time travel device being exposed will attract the freelancers. Emily finally comes clean and is all, but she really fell in love with him, just in time for Kiera and Carlos (who's in major doodoo for helping Kiera since the Feds think she's with Liber8) to show up. Kiera outs Emily, but Alec knew that already, and he reveals all the time travel stuff to her.

Then, the Freelancers show up, and its a big drawn out fight. I guess they have special suits too, if they can get shot and not hurt. I wonder if it emanates a field around the whole user, or these future suits just protect what's covered, because if so, why don't Kiera and the Freelancers take more headshots? In the end, Emily thinks the freelancers will leave them alone if the time travel device is gone. So, she tosses it off the roof, gets shot and killed for her trouble. Kiera manages to abscond with it and take off. And now she's all alone.

Carlos is prolly about to be arrested, and Alec is too busy being pissed at his gf being dead. I mean, it really looks like something snaps in him when she dies. So, we end with Alec going to meet Escher.

Oh, and in the beginning, we see Kiera and her partner working a case in the futre, where some scientist lady (who apparently was working on the time travel device and visiting Liber8) is murdered, unfortunately all the footage of the murderer is scrambled. She wants to work further on the case, but orders on high tell her to drop it and leave it to her boss. But yeah, with the identity scrambled, I'm sure it has to be someone we know on this show already.
