Supergirl- Heh, I think people who didn't realize the eps were switched would be slightly confused. But I guess they publicized it enough that most viewers would know. And I guess the casual enough viewers who wouldn't know are also the type who don't watch enough to be confused. ( spoiler cut )

Into the Badlands- I thought this show was kinda cool with the brutal martial arts action and stuff. But weird, like I recognized Aurora from OUAT, but I totally did not realize the doctor lady was Astrid from the Tomorrow People. She seems really different here. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend- Its unfortunate this show isn't do so well. Or at least I assume it isn't. I mean, the rating for the premiere weren't so hot. And like I don't see anything in the tumblr tags, which isn't a true gauge of a show's popularity, though for a show like this, who's audience is more likely a tumblr user than not, its not promising that people don't comment or make gif sets or what have you.
I mean, its not the best new show of the season, but its amusing enough. Like, the musical numbers could be better. But I just mostly see complaints for people who haven't even seen the show angry at the premise. It makes them think Felicity, and a girl with a promising future giving it up to follow some guy to NY. (Heh, actually, I guess its the opposite, with a girl following some dude to Cali from NYC). Not that Felicity was a bad show, but I do think its a premise that people find problematic. But I digress. So they think its same old, same old, that happiness is some dude.
Which I don't think is the case at all. I mean, Rebecca is kidding herself if she thinks she didn't go to West Covina for Josh, but I don't think there's any sacrifice here. Rebecca was post-law school having graduated Harvard and Yale, about to be named partner in her firm. So yes, its kinda crazy of her to turn that down, because that's serious $$$. But honestly, it seems like its not something she really cares about.
And while West Covina is pretty much podunk compared to NYC, its not like she's throwing her education away. She's still a lawyer, but its not like there are really any negative consequences other than it not being as fancy as NY. I mean, she's obviously making less money, but if that's affecting anything, the show isn't showing it. She seems to be fine financially. Nor is she really having any job problems- she's a freaking rock star lawyer. Like even with all her shenanigans, and seemingly blowing off work to do said shenanigans, its not affecting her ability at all. Like I was thinking because she never seems to be doing work, she'd get in trouble and screw something up. But apparently lawyering is effortless to her. I mean, I'm sure part of it is being in podunk, but still.
I think overall, even though she can apparently lawyer in her sleep, it wasn't a fulfilling existence for her. So I don't think the show is having her sacrifice for Josh. It was pretty clear she was not happy at all (they gloss over her having been taken a bunch of anti-depressants), and for some reason the weird signs in the pilot made her think maybe being with Josh would change things because its the last time she remembers being happy. So I think its clear that she has deep seated issues, and that Josh isn't the solution, its just a symptom.

clevemire asked if I was going to watch the show. I hadn't planned to at first, but then I apparently missed the fact it was an hour long musical comedy-drama. So its like dammit, now I'm all intrigued and interested!
But yeah, so now that's three shows in the Monday 8pm time slot on my weekly viewing scheduled.

Nov. 4th, 2014 10:14 amDangit, was hoping to fly first class to NY for the Christmas break this year. Last year, if you counted the checked in baggage charge for Economy, then the difference between the two was only $150, so it was totally worth it to upgrade. This year the difference is freaking $700. Screw that, I ain't paying that much more for 1st.

Gotham- Its an interesting enough show, though its trying a little too hard with the name dropping. Like Agents of SHIELD was too insular and didn't connect with the Marvel Universe enough, here they're putting in too many people at once. Catwoman, Poison Ivy, The Riddler, The Penguin, the Joker, Batman? Arrow strikes a nice balance. Maybe one an episode, not everyone! ( spoiler cut )
Scorpion- I swear I missed something here. ( spoiler cut )
WO blather- Finally got everyone's X-weapon! But, now I need to get them compatible with it, so I'll prolly lay off gauntlet mode for a while and work on that. I do have the green stone stages unlocked, so I'll prolly just solstice formation through the green path to beat gauntlet mode again to unlock the purple stone stages. Then with all the stages able to be unlocked, I'll go for the beat every dungeon in gauntlet mode trophy then. But, do the stages fairly, no using solstice formation, just opening every portal and getting every treasure chest. With procurement and the inevitable EXP fevers that show up, that should net a lot of growth points to spend to quickly level people back up after they've been promoted.
I won't go for 999/999/999/999/200 stats on everyone though, that's a bit much, even for me. I mean, I reached that with Xu Shu, Ginchiyo and Mitsuhide, and before having to promote them a 9th time. Since their stats are maxed, no reason for that 9th promotion. I will probably promote everyone at least once, just to get their last two items slots and their secondary team skill. But I'll just reserve max stats for my truly favorite characters.
So there's still plenty to do, max compatibility on their X-weapons, promote once and get to lvl 99 again, get everyone's mystics and do every dungeon on gauntlet to get those two trophies, fully max my favs. And then there's farming windslay and tri-element orbs from Xuchang and Mt. Nitou. Though I have so many gems right now I could prolly just buy weapons at the blacksmith and forge those attributes off those weapons.
