TV commentary:

Into the Badlands- I thought this show was kinda cool with the brutal martial arts action and stuff. But weird, like I recognized Aurora from OUAT, but I totally did not realize the doctor lady was Astrid from the Tomorrow People. She seems really different here. Maybe because she's playing older and in a post-apocalyptic society?

Supergirl- Hmm, we learn some interesting tidbits. So, apparently Alex felt her mom was always hard on her and super nice to Kara. So when she drops the bomb that she's been secretly working for the DEO and her mom is upset, she's all, "I can never do anything right for her!"

Of course, the truth is, she was always super nice to Kara because the girl had just lost her family and almost all her people. And Eliza was pushing Alex so she would be better than herself. But the reason she was upset about the DEO was because her husband made a deal with them to work for them in exchange for not taking Kara.

And apparently he died in a plane crash, which to me seems like one of those convenient deaths where there's no body so he could easily be secretly alive somewhere. But she breaks the news that the guy he made a deal with was Hank Henshaw, so now the girls are all freaked out, because why did he hide this information from them? Did he have something to do with their dad's death?

Well, Alex's dad's death, which I find incredibly weird that they refer to them as Alex's parents and not Kara's. I mean, obviously they're not her real parents, but they raised her, and it sounds like they were good to her. And Alex and Kara act like sisters even if they're not blood related. So why act like its a separate family? Ida know, I would assume that at some point Kara would refer to them as mom and dad, and that Alex would refer to them as "mom and dad", not "my mom and dad" when talking about them with Kara.

Gotham- Hey, its Missy from Doctor Who as the head of an assassin's guild! And of all the characters they'd bring to Gotham, I was not expecting Flamingo. I figured he'd be too brutal and out there even for this show. And did they really just kill that POC female rookie cop just to give Jim manpain? "Oh noes, I didn't murder someone but instead only arrested them, and he killed a fellow cop! Its all my fault!"

Fargo- Wow, a lot of people on this show have balls of steel. And surprisingly, despite all the danger in this ep, none of the regular characters died. Apparently the Gearhardts are insane. I guess Dodd was keeping it to himself that he sent his nephew to try and take out "The Butcher", so when Charlie calls from jail, Bear is pissed that his brother sent his son on this mission. Floyd tells them to get Charlie back and kill the Butcher. Which, they knew Charlie was in jail, so their plan was to just storm in and grab him?

And its kinda weird, because they have no qualms about breaking someone out of prison with an armed force, but shockingly, they don't kill Molly's dad when they show up at the Butcher's house. I mean, they went there with the intention to kill "the Butcher", so I presume anyone who got in their way, even cops, would be toast. But nope, Hanzee just sneaks up on him and knocks him out with the butt of his rifle.

Heh, Peggy manages to capture Dodd by leading him and his men to her magazine maze in the basement (heh, I guess it was actually good that she's a hoarder!) But interesting, does Hank know that she did that? He came to because of the radio call and headed to the station, but I guess he assumed the house was abandoned? But Ed escapes custody and is heading back there (not knowing Hanzee is tracking him), and Lou and Hank know he's heading back there, so I guess they'll find out soon enough.

Its also odd that when the guys show up at the police station, Lou thinks they're there just for Ed and he refers to them as a "lynch mob". I mean, they are there to kill him, but is that really lynching in that situation? But heh, Karl Weathers (Ron Swanson's character, I wonder when they'll make an Apollo Creed joke) manages to talk them out of not trying to break Charlie out or kill Ed. Which that was kinda tense, and well acted- like he wasn't being super cool, like he's not afraid of these guys. Because he clearly was, but you could see on his face that he was just saying what the smart thing to do was, and hoping they'd do it and everyone wouldn't kill each other.

Also, Simone is a moron. She tells Mike (who randomly recites the Jabberwocky when the KC boys leave to attack) that all the men left to get Charlie and kill Ed, and she thinks he and his men are going to ambush them (she even says she's cool with them killing her dad). Its like, you basically told them the compound is unguarded, and you didn't think they would attack it instead of the roving pack of armed men?!
