So EW has a "where are they now?" article on the actors of the OC, including a where are they now for the characters as well, by Josh Schwarz himself.

Which, what's up with that? Ryan and Taylor don't end up together? He has Ryan starting to go out with Alex (ostensibly to name drop Olivia Wilde), which, isn't she gay? Anyways, you know how big a fan I was of Ryan/Taylor, so I'm disappointed. And if he had to be with someone else, it would be Lindsay, then Kaitlyn, then Summer. Alex wasn't even on the list, again, because isn't she a lesbo? Obviously, Kaitlyn is his step sister now, and Summer is with Seth. But yeah, for a casual watcher or someone reading the article who hasn't seen the OC but was curious, they could mention Alex and be all, "that was Olivia Wilde's character!" But yeah, the whole randomly bumping into Alex on airplane, if it was Lindsay, that would've been a nice bit of kismet. Actually, I wanna say someone on my friends list wrote such a story already.

Meanwhile, Taylor ends up with... Nate Archibald? Random! Though I like the whole moving back to France and being neighbors with Harold and Roman, and meeting Blair through them, and she hooking up her with Nate.

I do find it funny they have Lucy Hale playing Little Miss Vixen in the fictional Atomic County movie, given she was like Kaitlyn's version of Summer at private school.

It is kinda hilarious that they go through the list, and most of them have projects going on/shows they're currently on, and the one doing the least now (Marissa/Mischa Barton) is also the only dead character. I mean Summer is on Hart of Dixie, Luke on Nashville, Julie on Nikita, Kaitlyn on Arrow, Che on Parks and Rec, Kirsten on Perception, Sandy on Covert Affairs. Southland was only recently canceled on Ryan, and even Taylor has pretty regularly guested on things since the OC's cancellation. Not to mention Last Resort was only recently canceled too, and she had No Ordinary Family before that.

Anyways, just watched Bourne Legacy. So, apparently this has overlap with Ultimatum, which as we know, overlapped there at the end with Supremacy, so basically all three of these films take place during the exact same time period. Are they making a sequel, because the plot plays out like the first 2/3 of any of the previous films, then it feels like it abruptly ends. It was okay, though I think the movie did spend a little too much on the boring part of spywork. I know analysis plays a big role, but I don't need like a bunch of scenes were people are all, "Oh, get the passengers manifest for all these airports! We're going to look through names until something interesting pops up!" spoiler cut )

You know, in my last post, I never actually said which of those chyx I would go for. Let's limit it to a top 5. (Wait, so that's "Top 5 chyx I would date out of the top 29 datable TV chyx as decided by Entertainment Weekly's online voters"?) In no particular order:

1) Annie Edison from Community (Alison Brie): You know how much I like those neurotic, studious brunettes in school girl skirts.

2) Katie Andrews from No Ordinary Family (Autumn Reeser): She's somewhat similar to Autumn Reeser's previous character on the OC, Taylor Townsend, which again see the previous entry. Although her "nerd references" are often quite fake and lame.

3) Amy Pond from Doctor Who (Karen Gillan): Hot, adventurous, redhead with a Scottish accent? No brainer!

4) Robin Scherbatsky from How I Met Your Mother (Cobie Smulders): Hey, she's cool, cute, can hang with the guys, is a former teen pop star, and is a gun nut, what's not to like?

5) tie between Emma Pillsbury from Glee (Jayma Mays) and Erin Hannon (Ellie Kemper) from the Office: I dunno, I think Emma's insane OCD and Erin's simpleness/naivete kind of cute and endearing. Though I suppose it would actually end up being annoying after a while. But I rarely think that far ahead.

Although I guess Arizona Robbins is quite intriguing, even though I know nothing about her since I don't watch Grey's, just because "Arizona Robbins" sounds like an awesome name. Like I could tell my friends, "I'm dating this cute blond named Arizona Robbins!" and they'd be all "You're an effin' liar, that's not a real person!" And then when she shows up I could be all, "Ha, I told you so!" Hmm, just looked her up though, and apparently she's a lesbian? So I guess I have no chance. But points for being someone my age who wears roller shoes.

So, a number of chyx I follow on Twitter were remarking how they had made EW's 29 Female TV Character's you date list. (29? Who makes a list of 29?!) I was hoping it was an actual article, defining why one would date this character, but it looks like they just had fans vote, and these are the results:

29) Erin from the Office (Ellie Kemper)
28) Katie from No Ordinary Family (Autumn Reeser)
27) Orwell from the Cape (Summer Glau)
26) Britta from Community (Gillian Jacobs)
25) Lisa from V (Laura Vandervoort)
24) Emma from Glee (Jayma Mays)
23) Kate from Fairly Legal (Sarah Shahi)
22) Ann from Parks and Recreation (Rashida Jones)
21) Sarah from Parenthood (Lauren Graham)
20) Kono from Hawaii Five-0 (Grace Park)
19) Lois Lane from Smallville (Erica Durance)
18) Temperance from Bones (Emily Deschanel)
17) Juliet from Psych (Maggie Lawson)
16) Claire from Modern Family (Julie Bowen)
15) Amy Pond from Doctor Who (Karen Gillian)
14) Joan from Mad Men (Christina Hendricks)
13) Ziva from NCIS (Cote De Pablo)
12) Tami from FNL (Connie Briton)
11) Olivia from Fringe (Anna Torv)- Hmm, but not Fauxlivia?
10) Pam from the Office (Jenna Fischer)
9) Gloria from Modern Family (Sofia Vergara)
8) Penny from the Big Bang Theory (Kaley Cuoco)
7) Liz Lemon from 30 Rock (Tina Fey)
6) Lily from How I Met Your Mother (Alyson Hannigan)
5) Robin from How I Met Your Mother (Cobie Smulders)
4) Arizona Robbins from Grey's Anatomy (Jessica Capshaw)- Ha, is her name really Arizona Robbins? That's hilarious!
3) Annie from Community (Alison Brie)
2) Kate from Castle (Stana Katic)
1) Sarah from Chuck (Yvonne Strahovski)

Heh, its a fair list, but I was thinking there were more than a few hot datable chyx omitted from this list, but then I realized the characters were mostly teens, which I assume disqualifies them from this category.

TV Commentary:

V- This show is starting to finally get interesting. I do find it amusing that both the head of the Fifth Column task force and Anna's main news liason are both members of Fifth Column. So while she can be smug over having the upper hand as of recent, she's definitely oblivious to the threats close by. spoiler cut )

No Ordinary Family- You know, for someone who just developed mind control, Daphne kinda sucks at it. I mean, she's been starting to use it to get what she wants, but the one time her life is in danger, she chooses to look all shifty and tries to slink off, instead of telling that couple, "Yeah, we're going to leave, stay here and don't do anything to stop us or harm us!" WTF?! Also, JJ is apparently immune to her powers because of his super brain. But I guess since she can't affect him, he doesn't press her on the fact that she seems to have no problem using her powers like that. He's like "How have you been doing this? Oh, you have mind control? And it doesn't work on me? Okay, whatever. Use them to help me solve the girl I like's mother's murder so I can get in her pants, even though I'm claiming its not to get in her pants".

So the LJ writer's block question of the day is "If you could have any car in the world, what would it be?"

I've sort of answered this question before in one of my many lists. But I guess if someone asked me right now, "I'll give you a car right now, for free, what is it?" I'd prolly have to say either the new Nissan GT-R or a Dodge Challenger SRT-8. Well, it would prolly be more efficient to say the GT-R, since it costs more, and if someone was gonna give you something for free, you might as well pick the more expensive thing. Of course, the Ford F-150 Raptor is appealing. And I could still go fast but be able to haul more people in a Cadillac CTS-V.

TV commentary:

No Ordinary Family- One thing confusing about this show is who knows what. spoiler cut )

NCIS- That was a weird ep! spoiler cut )

Dammit, apparently V isn't being shown online. And I can't remember if it was actually set to be DVR-ed.

So I heard Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal broke up. I didn't even know they were going out! So I guess soon he, like her previous boyfriends, will have a song about him how he done her wrong? Also, I curse this new Spiderman movie for making Emma Stone dye her hair blond. She looks terrible as a blond!

And speaking of blonds, heh, when I saw people talking about the Doctor marrying his own daughter, at first thought they were revealing some spoiler from this upcoming season, wherein Jenny is somehow River Song. But then I realized, apparently Tenth was dating the daughter chick in real life. Which is kinda weird, to go out with someone who played your daughter. Even she was like fully grown when she came into being. But what makes it even more nerdily amusing, is that in real life, she's the daughter of the Fifth Doctor. So its like doubly faux-incestuous or something. I mean, she's marrying someone who played her father, and her real life father is technically the same character, since though the Doctor may change appearances, he's still the same being all these years.

TV commentary:

No Ordinary Family- So this week, we get a married couple played by two 24 alum who slayed baddies left and right along with Jack Bauer- Mike Doyle and Renee Walker. Yeah, I know, Doyle was played by Ricky Schroeder, who's famous for other things. Anyways, is it me, or was this ep full of holes? spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Glee- I was thinking, does the backing band have nothing better to do? I just realized that whole "Merry Christmas Darling" number, Rach basically co-opted them into help her out with boyfriend troubles. And then when that didn't work out and they were all "now what?" and she was all, "The show must go on!" Like what show? So they're just gonna indulge her and back her up as she sings to an empty auditorium?

No Ordinary Family- So wait, the kids didn't know Will was a big faker until Daphne learned Katie met him online? What, did they think she just coincidentally started seeing someone named Will? Will fesses up about not being online guy, and says his name is Joshua. Only that's not his real name, he just saw it on some random waiter's name tag. But why does he need to check around to come up with a fake name, I'm sure he could think of plenty of guy's names off the top of my head. Though I guess if they did it that way, the audience wouldn't know he was a liar. And that must've confused the hell out of Reverend Camden when he answered the phone, "Joshua here"!

Its odd he wiped Daphne's memory all the way up to the pilot though! Why would he do that? Wouldn't they be more concerned if she forgot the last three months? I'm sure if he just wiped that night, they might not even have noticed!

Eureka- Like Warehouse 13, this seems to be an out of continuity one. But I guess both their special Christmas eps were filmed after the season finales. Its not as "off" as Warehouse 13's is (what with Myka being around after she quit in the season finale). But since this takes place in the new universe, and Sheriff Carter is telling the kids a story about a "past Christmas", is this in the future?

TV commentary:

Modern Family- Is it me, or were Haley's costumes HOTT? Although who really goes all out like that on Halloween? I mean, maybe its because I grew up in the city and didn't really get to go trick or treating all that often, but are there people who make such a fancy presentation at their house for the kids coming around? I mean, if they were having a Halloween party, that's fine, but they were going through all that for kids stopping by the door. And really, would kids care? It should be knock on the door, "trick or treat!". here's some candy, who wants to have to deal with all that ridiculousness for some snickers or nerds or whatever candy the kids eat nowadays. rbv('Gimme chocolate or I will cut you!')

No Ordinary Family- Having seen her in other things like this now, young Sam and Dean's mother looked way hotter with the 70s feathered hair style. And what the hell, I understand allegations of misconduct can follow you around, but its not like Deputy Leo and young Mary Winchester did something suspect. Well, they did, but it wasn't like it wasn't something easily explained. I think dating her mom is a far cry from them just being friends. I think there's less of a chance to go, "Hmm, maybe there's something going on?" I think once the truth comes out people won't just forget all about it and move onto something more interesting.

spoiler cut )

Caprica- While waiting for the usual suspects at Yeah! Burger last night, I saw original egg tweet that Caprica has been officially canceled? Damn, sounds like we won't get a lot of closure then.

The other day, Filmdrunk posted an article about some of the effed up tweets pr0n star Bree Olson has posted. I'm not too surprised, as I remember a particularly messed up line she uttered in one of her works, which I won't repeat here, but it was along similar lines of Marla's line in Fight Club. Of course, she talks a big game, but if you look at her body of work, in terms of actual stuff, IMHO she's pretty vanilla compared to chyx like Amy Brooke, Audrey Hollander, and old-school Sasha Grey. I mean, she hasn't even done "certain things". Speaking of, I heard Stoya recently has! Or at least filmed it within the last year, but its only getting released recently.
