TV Commentary:
No Ordinary Family- Oh, weird, I guess I should be paying more attention, because I didn't realize Rita/Darla's boss was the head bad guy at the end of last week. I had to look up that Julie Benz's character name was Stephanie, I don't actually know the character's names yet. I mean, except for the son and DA guy, I already know them all from pretty distinct roles. Shield-guy, Rita/Darla, Shark's daughter's sister, Taylor Townsend, even the cop lady is CDC chick on 24, the boss is 7th Heaven dad guy and his main henchman is JJ's cajun husband (wait, are they actually married, or is he just her baby's daddy?) on Criminal Minds.
But woah, they killed cop lady? That was unexpected! I mean, who will be the one countering the Commish (Okay, Jim) being all, "You're a vigilante, if you use your powers to interfere, I'm taking you in!" I guess we don't actually see her get shot, maybe she somehow survived? Still, it seems rather sloppy that JJ's cajun husband takes cop lady at her word. I mean, he really think she somehow managed to kill a guy who can teleport instantly by herself? Although technically, Jim didn't need to have superpowers, he just provided enough of a distraction for cop lady to shoot teleporter guy. Though if he didn't have superpowers, I guess he wouldn't be enough of a distraction.
And hmm, so are they saying they didn't get their powers from that lake now? Then how did they?
Life Unexpected- Hey, nice surprise there in the beginning! Hey, Tasha's back! Not that I like her that much as a character (well, I don't dislike her either), I just think its kinda cool for Lux to get her best friend back. At least she'll seem less of a loser this way since we've hardly seen her interact with anyone at school in a friendly way other than Jones. Oh, and the whole inappropriate teacher thing. It is ridiculous she doesn't have more gentleman callers though! That top she was wearing during basketball tryouts was kinda cleavage-y:

I mean, she doesn't have much there, but it was still inappropriately low cut. Particularly since her dad and his best friend are her coaches! But seriously, its kinda hilarious, because it seems every other girl trying out had the same t-shirt and tank combo she did, and they were covered up to their necks, somehow Lux has them both in low cut versions?!
But I digress. That whole thing with Tasha's new foster mother is weird. So she used to be Lux's foster mother, and Lux acts like something really bad happened there and insists Tasha get out. But then the social worker gives Lux a letter from the lady later, and apparently she wanted to adopt her? I mean, she even signed the letter "Mom"? I wonder what happened there? I mean, Lux used to be one of those leave them before they can leave you types, is that what happened? Which, okay fine, but get Tosh to vandalize the house so she'll get kicked out and live somewhere else seems kinda messed up. Particularly since the way she's leaving out parts of the story seems to intimate to Tosh that something abusive happened to her, and if it didn't that's not cool to make her best friend think something did.
Like mother like daughter though. Turns out Cate doesn't want to have anymore kids. Gee, that would be something she could've told Ryan before they got married. I mean, way to prove even more that they totally rushed things. Ryan brings up a good point though, as much as he'll care for Lux, he'll never be her real father, particularly with Baze around, with whom she already has a great relationship. You can't fault him for wanting that with his own kid. Otherwise, he is just a stranger to the little family Cate, Baze, and Lux have, and that's not fair to him. But geez, was the whole teenage pregnancy experience so traumatic to Cate she doesn't want anymore kids?! I know she doesn't want to lose Ryan, but if she truly doesn't want that, then she should really compromise. Not agree to try and make a kid, but then secretly stay on the pill, because that's beyond frakked up.
