Back home from Hilton Head. Actually left later than the rest of the fam to try and (unsuccessfully) get some extra sleep. I dunno why I've been telling people its a six hour drive, when its closer to 4 1/2. Well, at least the way I drive. Though I guess that six hours counts stopping for food, but this time I didn't, so I left at 8am and got here half past noon.

As I said on facebook, the vacation went by too fast. Already unpacked and catching up on stuff on the DVR.

TV commentary:

Kings- Wait, I was reading the forums, and Kings is based on the Bible?! I did not know that. And I'm assuming since the show is dead in the water, and they knew about it beforehand, so that's why this past ep is like on fast forward with the time? spoiler cut )

Kings- How many eps are left of this anyways? spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Kings- So this is finally back. I thought it was an interesting show, its too bad NBC is just burning off these remaining eps and has no plans to renew (or so I think). spoiler cut )

Pushing Daisies- It twas the last ep of the series, I'll miss its verbal and visual cuteness. spoiler cut )

Had a dream last night that caused me to wake up all stressed (I hate referring dreams I have like these as nightmares, because they don't seem nightmarish) under the cut )

TV Commentary:

Kings- What's up with it being moved to Saturday nights? I'm guessing NBC has no confidence in the show, which sucks because it does seem pretty interesting. spoiler cut )

Prison Break- So this is back after the almost four month hiatus. Heh, I thought it was two new eps on Friday rather than them showing the last ep before the break at 8, then the new one at 9. spoiler cut )

Criminal IntentSo why did USA keep delaying this? Wasn't it supposed to come out months ago? And heh, they kept advertising Jeff Goldblum, and he's not even in the first new ep. spoiler cut )

Played another game of the BSG board game with the usual suspects this weekend. The humans have yet to win. And, dang I finally "lost" once in the game because its the first time I didn't end up being a cylon or a sympathizer. I dunno, it just seems really difficult for the humans to win, its too easy for the cylons to frak things up.

Here's a pic of the new car, for those who were curious:

Random web-stuff:

Twisted Disney Princesses- Thought this series of dark takes on the classic Disney princesses was pretty cool. Macabre, but cool.

This "deleted scene" from Twilight- Okay, I thought this was kinda hilarious:

Hmm, I just noticed this will be my 2992nd post on this! 8 more til the big 3000. So I'd seen most of Fool's Gold already, but I only finally saw it all the way through the other day. Do you know what's weird, every time I see a movie with Malcolm Jamal Warner in it, I totally won't recognize him in it. Then I'll find out later, and be all, "Malcolm Jamal Warner was in this?" And its not like he looks different, because I'll see it the second time through and be all, oh, he is in it! Eh, he's apparently Fred Savage in disguise anyways. Anyhoo, the movie is cool because it has a couple of small chested, but tight-bodied cuties in it, Kate Hudson and Alexis Dziena. The former needs no introduction, but one may recognize the latter from that short lived Invasion show, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, or the ep of SVU where Stabler went all the way to Prague to find her, and got to beat information out of a perp with no consequences. Anyways, while she does look pretty hot in a bikini, her infamous nude scene in Bill Murray movie Broken Flowers (where she plays the aptly named Lolita) her breasts are kinda weird. I hear they actually had to film that scene late in production because they had to wait until she turned 18 before they could do it.

TV Commentary:

Kings- Hmm, I'm liking this show so far. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Kings- So this new Kings show is intriguing. The world they've built for this show is interesting, though I have to call shinanegans on Shiloh. In the beginning of the ep, Ian Mcshane talks about how the place used to be a bombed out city, but the city we see now is a beautiful metropolis. (Between this and Caprica City, I kinda miss the coolness that is the capital of the world, NYC) Maybe things work differently there than in the real world, because I'm skeptical you can turn a leveled city into that! I guess it is a monarchy, so mebbe the construction folks don't drag their feet in this world.

But anyways, I guess it looks like NYC because its filmed there. I was wondring about that, because I didn't realize the prince was gonna be that guy from the Covenant who played the L&O version of the DC sniper as well as Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl. But I had heard Carter was gonna feature in upcoming eps, and I'd seen pics of him and real life gf Leighton Meester out and about in NYC, and if both are in shows filmed in NYC, that makes sense.
