Arrow- Heh, isn't this ep kinda awkward. spoiler cut )

Supernatural- Oh, how sad! spoiler cut )

SVU- Wow, that's kinda messed up. spoiler cut )

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia- Heh, Tumblr is like blowing up over last night's ep. spoiler cut )

SVU- Even though I'm fine with what I refer to as "world building" on TV shows, where you have lots of recurring minor characters instead of cycling out new people every week, it still weirds me out on SVU (or any of the Law & Orders) spoiler cut )

Cool, new trailer for Fast and Furious 7:

Ha, in the trailer, Vin Diesel says this time they can't just be fast. Presumably, the next line was they need to be furious. But weren't they already furious?

TV commentary:

IASIP- I'm always amused/weirded out by eps when Charlie isn't the stupid one. Like some eps, they really play it up, and others, he's the straight man.

Broad City- Okay, there was this one thing I found hilarious but I'm guessing a lot of viewers wouldn't have even cared about. So at Ilana's grams funeral, the guy is singing, "On Eagle's Wings". And I was thinking, wait, isn't that like a Christian song? And sure enough then one of the relatives whispers to her, "Isn't that a Christian song?!" It was just so random, and maybe I'm being stereotypical, but I'm guessing the number of viewers of this show who are familiar with Christian hymns is pretty low, so not many would know about the song.

SVU- Weird, Tess from Ravenswood looks totally different with brown hair, I didn't even recognize her! But they got that one guy from Prison Break (although I guess most people would say Private Practice or Scandal) to play the bad guy (I know, spoilers, but c'mon, you know the actor. Just one look at his smarmy face and you know he was the real bad guy). spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

SVU- The writers seem to have confused Atlantans (Atlanteans? People from Atlanta, not Atlantis) with like Alabamans or something. Because I don't think your average person from the ATL has talked liked the supposed people from Atlanta did in this ep since the 1800s. I did get a kick out of Harry Hamlin referring to Barba as "your Spanish dandy". Its like so over the top, all, lets have him be racist and homophobic (not that Barba is gay, or if he is I don't know, but the dandy remark seems to imply Rollins' ex boss thinks of him as effeminate), but in that "Southern Gentleman" way. And the way his wife was talking, I half expected her to start saying, "Ah do declare!" and hoping Rollins' mom "doesn't come down with the vapors" or something.

And hey, its nice to see Dreama Walker still doing stuff. Though it makes me sad for Don't Trust the B. And Happy Endings. And Selfie. Its total BS that those all got canceled.

Arrow- aav('Whatttt!?!') spoiler cut )

SVU- Hmm, is that a hint at some backstory for Carisi? spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Hey, its Abbie Cobb! I've always liked her, particularly since she looks a lot like Jennie Garth, who was of course one of my childhood crushes. I also liked Christina Applegate and Nicole Eggert a lot too when I was a kid. Wonder when I transitioned from the popular blond types to neurotic brunettes and English/Aussie accented Asian chyx? Or maybe its un-Asian Asian girls? (not that I don't like Asian Asian girls) Or is it mixed Asian girls? Or is it mixed Asian girls with secret filipino blood? Like there are more than a few girls who only look part Asian, but then I find out the Asian part is Filipino, and I'm suddenly more attracted to them. Like Shay Mitchell on PLL. Or the secretary from Andy Richter Controls the Universe. Like I always thought she was mad cute, and wouldn't have even guessed she was part Asian. But somehow finding out she was like Flip-Irish made her even hotter to me.

(Also, I still find it hilarious that they had Abbie Cobb on 90210, and she had no relation to Kelly at all, when they were the spitting image of each other). spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Arrow- Ugh, why did they make Wildcat some youthful pretty boy MMA fighter? I get shows like Flash and Arrow and even Smallville are supposed to be early in the careers of these iconic superheroes, but Wildcat was always this kinda grizzled, experienced fighter in my head.

spoiler cut )

SVU- Wow, that was an effed up and depressing SVU. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Given my feelings on bugs, this ep was kinda horrific to me. But also kinda hilarious! spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

Arrow- Ah, I was trying to get that straight. spoiler cut )

SVU- That's kinda the life Liv chose though! spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Ah, so we find out some Kate back story. spoiler cut )

Man, I'm behind the times, I was totally unaware of the HCAR:

Basically, its an updated version of the BAR, set up to be all assault rifle (or rather battle rifle) like. You know how I like me them automatic rifles chambered for high caliber rounds. The BAR was always my favorite "gangland" weapons from that time period. The Tommy gun is cool and all, and is the one you see in all the movies, but c'mon, a fully automatic rifle firing .30-06? Way more bad-ass than a .45 submachine gun.

TV commentary:

South Park- Weird!! What's with all the continuity on South Park this season? I mean, these past few eps have actually been playing off each other. Its kinda unexpected from a cartoon. spoiler cut )

SVU- Ah, I had a feeling they were going that route! spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

Fargo- Heh, I kinda liked that callback. spoiler cut )

SVU- Weird! So the youngest sister was Andrea's sister on the Walking Dead?! I guess she looks totally different when dolled up as a 70s whore. Though I guess I started recognizing her when she wasn't all 70s-upped. (Heh, I also totally did not notice until late in the ep that the judge was Janice Soprano)

Also, aav('WHAATT!??') spoiler cut )

Faking It- Ah, this show continues to be deliciously cruel. spoiler cut )

Arrow- Heh, I'm skeptical! spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Oh weird! spoiler cut )

SVU- Wait, is that what's happening? spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

SVU- Crazy ep! Weird, seeing Sherri Shaum here as a bad guy, I mean, I've gotten used to see her as the nicest lesbian foster mom ever on the Fosters. And here she is being a cold criminal boss ordering some pretty horrible things! But ha, I like someone pointing out both characters are art history majors and pregnant (well, Lena's about to try and get preggers), so its a pretty funny coincidence.

Also weird, why is Donal Logue's character randomly Irish? Like him doing the accent on Copper, that makes sense, since as far as I can tell, it take place in the 1800s. But its like, his character didn't need to actually be Irish, unless I missed some part where they said he was from the Irish mob from actual Ireland. Because its not like he has that accent normally. I know, I'm spending way too much time thinking about this, I just think he could have easily been an American criminal with no change in the plot, and Donal Logue wouldn't have to do the accent.

TV commentary:

The Americans- One more tidbit. I thought the amusement park looked familiar, and at first I suspected it was Adventureland, but I figured I was just seeing things. But then [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 said it was indeed Adventureland!

Tomorrow People- Wait, I'm so confused! spoiler cut )

SVU- Ha, that was the cross-over ep?! spoiler cut )

NCIS:LA- Cool ep, I liked Danny Trejo's character. You know, this show is growing on me, since its a little more action oriented than normal NCIS. But as I've said before, aren't they supposed to be cops? They can rack up some pretty big body counts on this show.

TV commentary:

SVU- Weird, is this going to be a recurring plot? spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

SVU- What, they couldn't get Stabler back for even a small cameo? Also, since I never watched Homicide, I'm kinda curious, were those guys from the show? And were those actresses who've played Munch's ex-wives before? Because I seem to remember one of his ex-wives being played by a somewhat notable actress, and I don't think either of the ladies they showed were her. I guess bringing back Cassidy does make it convenient to make call backs to first season. Onto the CotW. spoiler cut )

Criminal Minds- Interesting. spoiler cut )
