Person of Interest- Since this actually comes on early if you know where to look, shuffled my viewing scheduled around to catch this since I couldn't wait. So I watched this first (then seeing PLL, followed by Agent Carter, have to catch the rest of Tuesday night TV later).

Ah, I suspected how this ep would go. spoiler cut )

PLL- Oh cool, show over, what a great ending! spoiler cut )

Watching Agent Carter right now- its cool how there are so many recognizable faces in this.

Heh, had this amusing dream where I met Karen Gillan at a bar, and we hit it off, and she took me back to her place. Just to talk! But in the dream she was married to Jason Bateman, who caught us and thought we were having an affair. So he like dumps her and she's all sad and needs comforting, but alas, then I wake up.

But speaking of Karen Gillan, with it being a new year, I guess I should do a list of my top 10 (its too much effort to come up with more than 10) favorite babes of 2014. I say favorite, because there's too many expectations from saying "hottest", because then people are all, how could you rank x over y and all that jazz. At least by saying favorite, I'm indicating the list it totally subjective.

1) Barbara Palvin: still my favorite current supermodel. Pretty face, gorgeous lips, banging body (she is a Victoria's Secret model, after all), and you know how I like that brown hair/blue eyes combo.

2) Karen Gillan: Glad to see she still had a somewhat busy schedule post-Doctor Who. And looking totally hot in all the projects I'd seen her in in 2014. She was great in A Touch of Cloth, and of course Selfie. Still the most disappointing cancellation of this season. I'll miss her as Eliza Dooley strutting around in all those cute outfits looking all hott. Heh, even as a bald, blue alien cyborg in Guardians of the Galaxy, she was still smoking.

3) Nina Dobrev: My favorite Canadian vampire. A perfect combination of sexy and cute.

4) Alexandra Daddario- Who cares if her eyes are like, really, really blue that they're almost alien? As I said above, dark hair/blue eyes is my favorite. Plus, that one scene in True Detective is friggin awesome.

5) Evangeline Lilly: My favorite Canadian elf. She is like ridiculously pretty as Tauriel in the Hobbit movies. Too bad they made her character less kick-ass in the last movie.

6) Shay Mitchell: My favorite Candian Lesbian and Liar. Pretty and fit and you know how being part Flip always makes a girl slightly hotter in my book.

7) Shelley Hennig: From witch to were-coyote, she was a great addition to the already gorgeous ladies of Teen Wolf. I mean, it was sad to see Crystal Reed go, but they replaced her with not one, but two hotties in Shelley and Arden Cho.

8) Amy Acker: The girl who shares my exact birthdate, she's awesome on PoI. I mean, its always great when Amy plays the bad girl. Like she looks so sweet and innocent, and it works when she plays adorkable nerds like Fred, but somehow she becomes 1000x sexier when she's not playing the good girl role. But yeah, Root is bad ass, and is one half of one of my favorite OTPs.

9) Sarah Shahi: The other half of the aforementioned OTP. Shaw is a bad-ass in her own right, and I love her tough girl attitude. Shoot (or Raw, if you prefer) make quite the ass-kicking pair on PoI.

10) Anna Kendrick: Again, the brown hair/blue eyes thing. And, her being weird and dorky in real life amplifies her cuteness. Plus, she can sing, which is always a plus! Ah can't wait for Pitch Perfect 2.

So, got $150 worth of itunes gift cards from various sources. So far, I've used it to buy Charlie XCX's latest album, "Sucker", Little Big Town's previous album, "Tornado", the Kinky Boots soundtrack, a smattering of songs by Ariana Grande, Becky G, Clean Bandit, and BJ Thomas, as well as the last two eps of Legend of Korra.

Anyways, I was looking up the movie Kinky Boots was based on, interestingly enough there were a lot of people who's names I recognize in the cast. Like Don was being played by Nick Frost, and Lola/Simon was played by Chit-that guy who's name I can't spell/pronounce, so I'll just say, The Operative from the Serenity, Lauren was the innkeeper from Gracepoint (who was apparently in 14 eps of Felicity, but I do not remember her being on at all!), and Charlie was Joel Edgerton, who, the commercials of Exodus act like he's a name people should know. But looking him up, the only thing that seems notable is the young version of Uncle Owen from Star Wars in Episodes 2 and 3.

Oh, and he was apparently in Smokin' Aces, which, while there are tons of famous peeps in that movie, there's also a number of peeps I didn't realize were in that movie that surprise me- like Carter from PoI being the sniper lady, and Chris Pine being the head of the Tremors. But I guess its because they were playing roles way different than I'm used to seeing them in.

TV commentary:

NCIS- Argh, why would you do that?!! Isn't it supposed to be Happy Holidays! spoiler cut )

Degrassi- Interesting, so is that the blackmailer? spoiler cut )

Selfie- Still holding out hope that despite the cancellation, they're going to end the series on a good note, with something resembling closure. spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Well, that's a scary place to end it. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

The Flash- Huh, so much for that guy. spoiler cut )

Supernatural- aav('Whaattt?!!') spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- That can't be good. spoiler cut )

Faking It- Yep, I knew it!< spoiler cut )

Degrassi- Ha, crazy cameo! spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Faking It- Ooh, if this season ends in a downer again, I'm going to be so pissed. spoiler cut )

Flash- Ah, that was quick. (heh!) spoiler cut )

Agents of SHIELD- Some surprising reveals. spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Ha, did they really not know that!? spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

Selfie- Dang it, they can't cancel this show. 1) I love seeing Karen Gillan in all the sexy outfits. 2) They just started into that corny-ass shippy stuff you know I like. Also, I totally did not recognize that Henry's new gf was the princess from Kings. She looks totally different with the short hair. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You know how I feel about boy-short hair on girls who can pull it off. bv('I want me some of that, whatever that is!')

Agents of SHIELD- That seemed a little... anti-climactic. spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Well, well! spoiler cut )

Faking It- Great episode! spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Agents of SHIELD- Hmm, was it a carefully constructed plan, or a spur of the moment thing given the situation? spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Some people seem to dislike these kinda eps. spoiler cut )

Oh, heh, since I sometimes complain about some people I follow on tumblr just going on crazy reblogging sprees, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire was all pot kettle-black since I had reblogged a bunch of seduction eyes/karmy/shoot-raw photosets (it would have been more of there had been anything Skimmons-ish in this past AoS. More like Tues-gay night TV! But I also had a few Karen Gillan looking all hot as Eliza Dooley on Selfie photosets there) in the past few days. But really, that pales in comparison to the people I complain about. Seriously, I don't set my dash to infinite scroll, because if I scroll down too fast, I jump too far ahead and I have to go back and figure out where I was on my dash. But yeah, certain people reblog so freaking much like I open my dash in the morning and its like 24 pages of posts. What the frick!?

Anyways, I thought it was kinda hysterical, because he follows a lot of TV/comics stuff, and loathes spoilers. So since the new Avengers trailer came out, a bunch of his dash were under spoiler cuts. So its like most of the posts were blocked, except for a bunch of lesbian gifsets. HA!

TV commentary:

Sons of Anarchy- Okay, that's kinda hilarious! spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

Selfie- Woah, that Renee Zellweger reference was pretty timely. I had only seen articles today about how she no longer looks like she used to. So its weird for them to make a reference to it all of a sudden- its not like South Park where they can just throw things in without a lot of lead time.

Flash- Hmm, interesting new take on events. spoiler cut )

Agents of SHIELD- Heh, it would've been a twist if it hadn't been spoiled all over the place. spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Well, well! spoiler cut )
geebs: (vain)
TV commentary:

The Flash- Barry's whole backstory with the Wests is interesting given he's in love with Iris. spoiler cut )

Agents of SHIELD- I knew it! spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Well, that was an unexpected twist! spoiler cut )

There is way too much TV on Tuesday- NCIS, Selfie, The Flash, Supernatural, Agents of SHIELD, Person of Interest, Sons of Anarchy, Faking It. It also gives me a lot of reblog fodder on tumblr- Karen Gillan looking all hot on Selfie, as well as Skimmons, Shoot/Raw, and Karmy gifsets because I'm ghey like that.

TV commentary:

NCIS- Aw, those last few minutes were so sad, but I suppose hopeful. spoiler cut )

Sons of Anarchy- Well, things come to a head. spoiler cut )

Is it ghey that whenever I see My Best Friend's Wedding is on TV, I have to watch the scene where they all sing "I Say A Little Prayer For You" in the restaurant?

Anyways, I vaguely remember realizing a few years ago that the other debutante sister who wasn't Rachel Griffiths was played by Finch's gf/Arlene from True Blood. (Speaking of actresses on True Blood, I had no idea Holly Cleary was Julia Louise-Dreyfus' sister until a few weeks ago) But in watching the scene again a few minutes ago, I didn't realize Castle's mom was in this movie. Its kinda funny to see two characters who nowadays are known for their really red hair on the shows they're on totally not being redheads almost 2 decades earlier. Which, holy crap, the movie is that old?!

Attempted to see the new Apes movies with the usual suspects, but it was sold out! What the frick! I didn't think it was that popular!

So I don't watch "Chasing Life", but I've caught a scene here and there flipping through the channels. And some of the people I follow on tumblr ship Brenna and Greer, so I see gifsets of them on my dash. Anyways, when I first saw Greer, I thought, she kinda looks like Claire Holt. I come to find she's played by Gracie Dzienny from Supah Ninjas. She looks totally different! Also, Greer is such an uncommon name, yet there are two shows this year (this show and Reign) that have female characters named Greer. I mean, the bad guy this past season of PoI is also named Greer, but he's a guy, and that's his last name.

So here's a list of the 2013-2014 prime time programs, ranked by nielsen rating. So the top 10 are:

1) NBC Sunday Night Football
2) Big Bang Theory
3) NCIS
4) NCIS: LA
5) Dancing with the Stars
6) The Blacklist
7) The Voice
8) Person of Interest
9) The Voice, Tuesday edition
10) Blue Bloods

I'm amused that most of the non-reality/sports shows on that list are CBS, except for the Blacklist. I had no idea it was so popular. Also, I didn't realize NCIS: LA was that popular. I mean, I actually like it more than normal NCIS now, since its a lot more action oriented, I just didn't think it would be back to back.

But I guess that the fact they are actually back to back in the schedule helps it a lot. Same for Person of Interest. Tuesday nights is a ratings juggernaut for CBS, with all of their Tuesday night programming being on the top 10 in viewership (according to the Nielsens) But yeah, its cool to see Person of Interest is up there. What's not to like:

1) action and intrigue
2) kinda sci-fi-ish
3) they're not too heavy handed with their political commentary
4) hot chyx like Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi
5) The fact that said hot chyx are totally shippable as a hot bad-ass lesbian assassin couple. (still don't know if the better portmanteau is "shoot" or "raw") Whatever, you can't tell me Root isn't relentlessly flirting with Shaw whenever they talk.

If they could somehow work a musical number in there, it'd be my perfect show.

The Originals- Amazing season finale! And talk about a bloodbath! spoiler cut )

Person of Interest- Heh, I can use the same tag as above! Amazing season finale! And talk about a bloodbath! spoiler cut )
