TV commentary:

The Originals- Amazing season finale! And talk about a bloodbath! So the witches make Hayley give birth, then kill her, all while Klaus watches helplessly. Elijah is equally devastated, and the brothers vow to rescue their daughter/niece and avenge Hayley's death.

Of course, Hayley's obviously not dead. Don't forget she was carrying a hybrid baby. So, she wakes up in transition. So the three of them, with some last minute help from Marcel kill the witches and rescue the baby. Well, they kill the Harvest girls. Genevieve lives long enough for questioning, before the ancestors (who are apparently being controlled by Esther now) come to kill her.

Marcel also runs off with the baby hoping to get Klaus to cure his people, but 1) he needn't have done that, because all was forgiven and Klaus would've cured them anyways and 2) it was too late, as Davina resurrected Mikael, who fed on and killed all the dying vamps. Not that anyone other than Davina knows he's back and did that. So now of the NOLA vamps, only Josh and Marcel are left.

Speaking of Mikael, he's all ready to get his revenge, but Davina is tired of being used. She worked a little trick of her own into the resurrection spell, and as such has total control over him, locking him in the church to use when she deems the time is right for her revenge.

So, they have the baby, and all the important people are alive, everything is good and happy, right? Nope. As Davina said, Esther and the witches will not rest until the baby is dead. And with the Guerrero werewolves doing their power grab, Hayley and her child are a threat since they're wolf royalty. They realize their only recourse is to send the baby away and make everyone think the baby is dead.

And so they do, they get Marcel to broker a peace between the vamps and the werewolves- the wolves get the quarter, but don't mess with the vamps across the river. Marcel gets Ollie to accept by making it seem like Marcel himself killed the baby, or at least found the body and took it, and gave the baby corpse (talk about macabre!) to Ollie, telling him he's made sure the story will look like the wolves are responsible unless they honor this truce.

Then, Marcel agrees to be compelled so he has no idea the baby is really alive. Of course, in the memorial next day, where Francesca claims all the lives lost were due to a crazy night of gang violence, Cami is devastated to see "Baby Mikaelson" listed among the victims. So she goes crying to Klaus, to comfort him. But, he sends her away- he has too many enemies, and he loves her and finds her beautiful, and for that people might use her against him if they found out.

But yeah, Elijah and Hayley play the role of grieving family members for the NOLA peeps, while Klaus takes his daughter, which he's named Hope to Rebekah to take care of until they can destroy all their enemies and make a safe home for her.

Of course, there's one more surprise- the fourth harvest girl (the short haired one, interesting, did they use all the same actresses?) rises. But! Its really Ester in disguise. And she rises with someone else, a young black man, who is most likely Finn. So that'll be interesting.

Person of Interest- Heh, I can use the same tag as above! Amazing season finale! And talk about a bloodbath! So Vigilance has the mock trial. But, they want it to be a true court, so they kidnap some random civilians to serve as jurors, actual lawyers to serve as lawyers, as well as some press to cover the event. He thinks he's broadcasting these proceedings to the world, but he's not.

Because Vigilance is a lie. We all knew something weird was behind Vigilance, and it turns out they were being manipulated by Decima. The Machine was doing too well. So he had to create a new threat, Vigilance, to kick up enough chaos to sell Samaritan to the government. And he framed them but good, they blow up the courthouse, killing all those people, as well as the cops that came to rescue them. All the major people were out, though Hersh dies trying to stop the bomb from going off. He did at least get to go out as a major bad-ass. He's pretty tough for an old dude, taking on several Decima guys while suffering several gun shot wounds.

Anyways, Greer lets Control and the Senator and the other guy go (unfortunately, Collier killer the Intellegence Advisor during the trial), since he needs their cooperation to get Samaritan online. Well, they don't even know about the Vigilance fake-out, as far as they know, he saved them from a crazy terrorist group. He kills Collier, but Reese is able to rescue Finch in time.

And we see what Root's plan was. Unfortunately, it was not a virus to destroy Samaritan. They were too late to do anything to stop Samaritan. So, those servers were actually planted with code to make Samaritan unable to find Reese, Finch, Shaw, Root, or her hackers. Weird, was Fusco not considered a threat? Are they unaware of his connection to Team Machine? But yeah, all they can do is run and hide and hope they find a way to eventually stop Samaritan. Once it comes online, it wastes no time in finishing off the rest of Vigilance (including that kinda cute chick, boo!), but is unable to flag the team.

And Greer is about as crazy as Root. When the machine asks what orders he wants it to carry out, he says its the machine who should be giving them orders, and we end with Samaritan figuring out what it should tell Greer to do.

And seriously, I know I ship it, but is there something going on between Root and Shaw. I mean, Shaw always seemed to have a lesbian vibe, but seriously, Root is relentless with the flirting and sexual innuendo when it come to Shaw. And Shaw was actually worried about Root and left the boys to help her. Then when they had to run in the end, there was that sad, longing look between them. I suppose Finch and Reese had a similar scene too, so maybe Root and Shaw are just really good friends. But Reese and Finch never make sexual innuendo towards each other either.
