TV commentary:

Selfie- Dang it, they can't cancel this show. 1) I love seeing Karen Gillan in all the sexy outfits. 2) They just started into that corny-ass shippy stuff you know I like. Also, I totally did not recognize that Henry's new gf was the princess from Kings. She looks totally different with the short hair. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You know how I feel about boy-short hair on girls who can pull it off. bv('I want me some of that, whatever that is!')

Agents of SHIELD- That seemed a little... anti-climactic. They were worried about the drawings driving people who got injected crazy, and all they needed to do was see a 3-D representation of it to recognize it as a city and that's all? Well, at least they didn't drag it out!

Ah, and are they turning Ward into this anti-hero, who's secretly helping the team even though they don't want it?

Person of Interest- Well, well! You can't tell me they didn't drop hints that Root and Shaw have at least effed around. I mean, the whole comment about that one time they had to kill 10 hours in a safe house for that one mission? It would be weird to refer to that time as "hot" if there wasn't some sexual component to that whole situation. And even if that is reading too much into things, what about that ending?

Shaw is all, "I decided to stay, because I have something here I care about!" and Root is all hopeful and Shaw is all, "I need you to translate this!" which is typical ship fare where the cool/tough one pretends there's nothing going on. But beyond that, the whole "It will take all night!" and then Root and Shaw smirk at each other knowingly. How else are you supposed to read that? That they really like destroying viruses?

Uh oh though, looks like Samaritan is on to Shaw. And I'm guessing her ex-protege is toast too, since its on to Shaw because he was trying to cover up her being there.

Interesting conundrum though in the war- Root and Finch destroyed that whole program which was going to give tablets to every kid. Which sounds like a good thing, but it does seem like a way for Samaritan to watch and subtly brainwash the youth and get followers while they're young. But after they sabotage the 3-D printers, Finch could find no real malicious code in the tablets.

And he brings up Castro, who built up all the schools when he came into power. And Finch feels bad, because maybe not everything Samaritan does to take over is nefarious. Perhaps it at least wants to uplift people because it thinks its the godly thing to do. Of course, that kinda doesn't jive with it putting creampuffs into place who will do its bidding unwittingly without question. Then again, it also recruited really smart girls like Claire, which also makes me think it thinks that someone really smart will see its way is right.

Also, I'm not sure why Finch thought the tablets were prolly fine because there was no malicious code on it. But all it is is a gateway to the internet! The stuff Samaritan would need to monitor and control wouldn't need to be on the tablet, it would be on the net side, it just needs a way to talk to people.

Faking It- Great episode! Ah, they did a big fake out with last week's promo when they showed some guy catching Shake making out. So you're all, "Uh oh, he just got accidentally outed!" Turns out, not so much. Duke's dad knows his son is gay, and is fine with it. As long as Shane signs an NDA! Also, Duke gets a new sponsor, "Cluck-n-go", the Faking It's universe version of Chik-Fil-A, since its a conservative chicken place that is anti-gay. Shane tries to be understanding about the whole Duke hiding being gay to protect his up and coming MMA career. But of all the sponsors Duke could accept, Cluck-N-Go is he worst, since they're actively working against people like him. Shane tries to get Duke to not do it, but Duke chooses the sponsor.

Meanwhile, Amy decides to go into pageantry, miffed at her mom doting all over Lauren because she's into that sort of thing. Well, what really sets her off was her mom saying, "Finally, I have a daughter who can win!" So she decides to enter and win, and she and Reagan were going to do something embarrassing to mock the whole thing at the end.

Amy does really good, but starts to feel guilty because her mother was actually proud of her. When she first heard she was having a daughter, she was all excited to have someone to go shopping with and get all prettied up and other "girly" things. But that was never Amy, and Farrah had a hard time letting that go. So she was so happy that Amy did this- she suspected Amy was doing it to mock her, but when things didn't come crashing down (heh, she was speaking too soon!) she was happy that she had this to share with her daughter. She even says to invite her gf Reagan (because her mother's not stupid, even if Amy introduced her as her coach!), so of course Amy feels incredibly guilty and doesn't want to go with her and Reagan's plan to indeed mess things up and embarrass her mom.

Which, when Reagan realizes Amy was chickening out, it exposes a deep seated insecurity she had because of an ex. She had a gf who dumped her and got back with her ex-bf, telling her she was just a phase. So, with all that happened, she worried that Amy was just experimenting, and that she would dump Reagan once she had her jollies. Amy reassures her she isn't a phase, that she really does like Reagan, and they totally do it.

This is of course, later, after the pageant. Amy didn't end up having to do anything (or Reagan doing something without Amy okay-ing it) because its Lauren who blows it all up. Amy remarks during the competition that her dad is putting a little too much pressure on her, and why does she like pageants anyways because being judged doesn't seem like her thing. Amy hopes her step sister is doing it for herself, and not her dad. At first, Lauren thinks Amy is just getting into her head. But then the clues start clicking into place- him insisting she wear the pink dress, telling her to make sure she walks more girl during the evening gown competition, the fact that he started signing her up for these things around the same time he found out she was intersex.

She realizes he's embarrassed of her, and was trying to "reinforce" her femininity by making her do these thing. So, angry at that, she makes a scathing speech during the question portion. So she quits pageantry, and goes to tell Theo her intersex status. Well, we don't actually know she did. She starts to tell him, she's no ordinary girl, but we don't find out what she actually tells him, nor his reaction.

Karma finally decides to tell her parents Liam is her bf and she's actually straight. But there's a monkeywrench when her brother Zen shows up. Heh, he's actually kinda a tool. Their relationship is interesting and I hope they delve into it further, but is there a weird thing where since he's adopted, he's purposely trying to one up Karma to make sure he gets more of their parent's love because he's insecure?

In any case, she finally gets the courage to do it, and her parents are upset... at themselves for making her worry that they wouldn't love her anymore if she wasn't herself. So they hug her, and its all sweet. Which makes Zen jealous, and he reveals he quit the peace corps and is secretly a store manager in Dallas. So they go to him and hug him, apologizing for making him think he couldn't tell them the truth either, and he smirks at Karma as he's once again #1. Poor Karma!

Anyways, with that lie finally off her chest, she and Liam get ready to do it. But, he's still feeling guilty so he tells her he did sleep someone on the night they broke up. He doesn't say who, but Karma actually figures it out. Which people are complaining about, all, "that was a stretch!" But truthfully, once he made the guilty face when she said, "At least its not someone I know", its like, the whole show started on the premise that Karma was this friendless loser, so who else could it be but Amy? Some people are, why would she go along that line, when she knows Amy is a lesbian. Its like there are only 2 people it could've been- Amy, or Lauren, she doesn't really know anyone else!

But yeah, needless to say, she's pretty damn upset when she finds out, throwing Liam out of the house. Liam tries to warn Amy, but she's too busy effin Reagan. Which, I hope we get to see the post coitus scene where she checks her phone and starts freaking the hell out. Because I would think that should worry Reagan more than her earlier fear about Amy possibly being straight thing.
