Tried out the Wanted Demo for the PS3. The control scheme is simple enough (the bullet curving thing is actually pretty easy to do) and the cover system is pretty easy to use. For the most part. You actually have to be facing the cover to stick to it, so its possible to get into a position where you break cover, and the camera switches to an angle where you can no longer stick to it. Which can cause a bit of trouble in the middle of a firefight.

Gossip Girl- Hmm, that Carter dude returned sooner than I expected. Is it me, or is Carter a lot like his character on Kings, decadent little rich boy. Seriously, he looked like he was even wearing the same suit! Given they're both filmed in NYC, I wouldn't be surprised if he did a scene on GG, then ran down the street to do a scene for Kings! HIMYM- Okay, this whole thing where Robin is on the opposite schedule thing, but they still meet for drinks is a little nonsensical. Well, meeting for drinks like an hour before she has to go to work doesn't make sense. I mean, 10 or 11, I could understand. But what the hell are the rest of them doing drinking at 2 in the morning?! I could give that Ted, Marshall, and Barney might not have to come in until late in the morning, but Lily's a friggin' kindergarten teacher! What kinda kindergarten teacher is out until two drinking?! ( spoiler cut )

Kyle XY- ARGH!! I was worried that since this show was canceled that we wouldn't get a proper resolution. But the description for the ep, I was thinking mebbe they had a chance to write a proper ending. Apparently not! ( spoiler cut )

24- Ha, so this whole time, was Tony just having coffee at a local cafe? I mean, he's "outside the White House" before the whole Juma attack, and then we don't hear from him the next couple of hours, and when Jack calls him at the end of this hour, he's just sitting having a drink? That's hilarious! I mean, they couldn't have had him doing something in the background other than sitting on his ass? Does he even know Buchanan's dead? ( spoiler cut )

Secret Life- So this ep, we see a flashback to the summer Amy got knocked up. As expected, innocent little Amy was easy pickings for Ricky's playa moves. But what's up with Adrian's mom letting her dress all sluttily? Though I guess it is the summer, so the whole walking around in a bikini is somewhat excusable. And apparent Ashley is a dancer? Were they implying the dad was putting the moves on her dance teacher also? They also callback to Jack only asking Grace out because his father asked him too, but after they showed the dad (Or I guess, step-dad) it doesn't really make sense. For one thing, when they initially mentioned it, it sounded like it was done as some weird political move amongst their church (though why the reverend wanted in good with Bo Duke, I don't know), but Jack's preacher dad doesn't seem like a schemer at all. And why wouldn't Jack ask her out anyways? He's a football player, she's a cheerleader. And its not like she's an uggo!

One Tree Hill- So on OTH, we get 5 little stories taking place the same night concerning different pairings- Peyton and Lucas, Brooke and Julian, Mouth and Millie, Naley, and surprisingly a scene with Deb and Dan. ( spoiler cut )

Heh, I was reading an article that mentioned Woody Allen has cast Slumdog Millionare's Freida Pinto rather than his seemingly current obsession, Scarlett Johansson. And they were all, is he moving onto a younger chick now? But Freida is a month older than Scarlett!

Privileged- Who goes on wilderness expeditions?! Like out there with the bugs and dirt and allergens and psycho-killer-rapist-cannibals?! I dunno, if you're gonna spend money on some course, why not have it be something cool, like skydiving, or stunt driving, or CQB shooting? I mean, I'd much rather learn to drift a car or cut down on the time it takes to draw a .45 and do a quick two and one than sleep on dirt and walk around a forest feeling all dirty. ( Leverage ) Getting out of the cut, I know Mark Sheppard has been a bunch of stuff, and he's had done a lot of guest stints on shows I watch lately (Leverage, Burn Notice, Dollhouse), and Whedonites are likely to refer to him as Badger, but his BSG character name of "Romo Lampkin" is too cool to not refer to him as that. It also makes me thing of LA Confidential and Rollo Tomasi.

So with Friday the 13th being this friday, the reimagining of the movie is coming out. I've read some reviews, and this new Jason is... interesting. Its definitely a different kind of Jason from the movies (I was going to say "from the original", but everyone who's seen it, or Scream, knows he's not actually the killer in the first one). But being one of those kinds of movies, it of course involves hot teens engaging in immoral liaisons and other scandalous behavior, so surely its filled with hot babes. And I hadn't seen a "hot chyx of the new Friday the 13th" article on any of the entertainment sites I peruse yet. So I decided to look it up myself on imdb.

From the trailers, I already knew it had Danielle Panabaker (you know, the cute brunette snowflake chick who wasn't MEW from Sky High, or Shark's daughter, or the chick who killed her obviously alky mother on SVU even though the squad for some reason didn't realize she was an alcoholic, or the older sister of Kay Panabaker from Summerland?) and Amanda Righetti (Of Reunion, North Shore, and of course as being Hailey from the OC. How old was Hailey supposed to be? I didn't realize she was younger irl than all of the fab four save for Mischa Barton. Or if I did I totally forgot. But she played Seth's aunt, and she had to be old enough so it wouldn't be creepy that Marissa's dad was sleeping with him. Well, other than the fact he was moving down the Nichols line. Weird that she's that young!). But apparently Willa Ford (What the, I was gonna link to her "I Wanna Be Bad" video from way back when, but I couldn't find it on youtube!) is in it as well. Didn't recognize the other chyx.

But I saw Jason's mum is played by Kira from DS9. And that had me thinking, "Wait, that voiceover in the trailer isn't Nana Visitor!" Its the voiceover of Pamela Voorhees from the original movie. Well, it actually isn't, its just someone who sounds a lot like Betsy Palmer. But that does not make cents! I can understand having the actual actress playing the mom from the movie doing the VO, or using a sound clip from the original movie as some sort of homage. But why would you get someone who just sounds like the actress from the original movie? Use one or the other, why would you pay yet a third person to do something?!

Oh, but while looking up the trailer for the new Friday the 13th to make sure the voice stuff just wasn't in my head, I saw the trailer for 17 Again. So Chandler is married to Judd Apatow's wife, and he has two kids, a dorky son, and a hot daughter played by Michelle Trachtenberg. His life sucks, he meets a mysterious, magical old dude, and ends up turning into Zac Efron. Now the thing about this movie that does not make cents to me is, from the trailers, it looks like he makes no attempt to get hot JB ass, and instead plays a lot of basketball, and tries to break up his daughter and her douche bf!

But while perusing the imdb page of that movie, saw the younger version of Judd Apatow's wife was being played by a chick who's in an upcoming live action version of Blood: The Last Vampire. How did I not know there was a live action version of Blood: The Last Vampire coming out?!

Anyways, once again, I am a zombie. So, with Obama speechifying, that cancelled out all the shows I watch at 8 save for Secret Life, leaving only Heroes, 24, Kyle XY, and the Closer. I actually only ended up watching SLOTAT, Kyle, and 24 (is that telling about the quality of Heroes that I was actually deferring it for another day?) and tried to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. But nope. Couldn't fall asleep until past 1! WTF!?

Kyle XY- ABC Family was having a marathon of this yesterday, and it was a good refresher, as there were a couple of things that happened last season I totally forgot about. And I was reminded of how sad and pathetic Jessi is. Well, as pathetic as one can be if they're a super genius in peak human physical condition with incredible powers. But you just wanna cringe in heartbreak for her when Sarah first comes back into the picture. But onto the season premiere. ( spoiler cut )

Haven't had a chance to see last night's Secret Life, OTH, or HIMYM. But I hear last night's HIMYM is totally awesome for the BROTP.

If you do it in the shower, obviously its do it, then clean up, not vice versa! That would defeat the whole purpose of showering! Well, I guess you could start with the intent of getting clean, but one thing leads to another... with sexy results! And then you wash up after again. But that's kinda wasteful and inefficient!

Okay, this is brilliantly hilarious!

You know, last week's Kyle XY, I did not realize Sarah was being played by Ally Sheedy. What happened to her!? I guess Wargames was more than 25 years ago. And why don't their eyes match? And Sarah lacks the mole. I dunno, while Baylin and Kyle look a lot a like, Sarah and Jessi? Not so much!

Ugh, I hurt the bottom of my foot somehow getting up too fast. Sucky! But in better news, I guess our raises take effect with the pay check we get at the end of the month. I get $80 more a month now, which is modest, but more money is always good.

Had a plan to go somewhere with the usual suspects, but traffic made that fall through, so instead, we went to Mama Fu's. Rather than getting an entree, I had a large order of the beef curry rolls and a regular order of the pot stickers for my meal. I'm a little disappointed they no longer have basil rolls on the menu, because I loved that peanut sauce that came with those.
