geebsGeez, its cold out there again. Is it me, or is colder this year then it has been these last few years?
I've been having stressful dreams as of late, but I'm hesitant to call them nightmares, because that implies a degree of helplessness. And I wouldn't say I'm exactly helpless in the dreams, its just a scary sitch. Like last night I had two dreams. The first, I dreamt I was on a space-carrier. It was the pride of the fleet- the biggest, newest, most powerful and heavily armored ship built. So I guess we were at war at this race that were like the Aliens, but plant-like and more intelligent. Anyways, we flew through a swarm of their smaller ships, but we weren't allowed to engage for some reason. And two aliens managed to sneak in through one of the landing bays. But, two is dangerous enough, because they can start emitting spores that turn into this combination of the Aliens and a giant venus fly trap. They don't take out the guards in the bays in time before they can sound an alarm, but at that point, they've multiplied into such numbers that they were a serious threat. I guess I was in the bay when it was attacked, because I was running, managing to get into one of the elevators with this blonde officer cutie and some other dude, trying to get the door to close before the aliens got in. But the whole dream was this scary cat and mouse game. And I guess I was kinda helpless there because all I was doing was running and didn't get a chance to get my hands on a weapon to fight back, but I still don't wanna call it a nightmare.
The second one, I was fighting insurgents in Iraq, or some other location over there. And me and my partner (a cute auburn haired snowflake) were pinned down pretty good. They kept firing rpgs and tossing grenades, so there were explosions everywhere. I tried calling in an air strike to take them out, but it missed. Finally, I got a bead on them with a sniper rifle, and managed to take a couple of them out, one of them about to fire another rocket. So he ended up blowing up and taking out the rest of them. Then when we were checking the bodies, there was the fear that they were wired with personal explosives. But they weren't. Though one of them was wearing a rubber mask of that guy who was in Drive and played The Lizard in the Spiderman movies, and he had this creepy recording on him. Again, I wouldn't call it a nightmare, since I prevailed in the end. But it was stressful with all the explosions and bullets and wot-not.

Gossip Girl- heh, you know, I had heard they were getting this new teacher being played by Laura Breckenridge, but when I saw the commercials, I was thinking, "That's not the chick from Dirt!" Because it wasn't. Alex Breckenridge is the chick from Dirt. Laura Breckenridge is the youngest sister on Related. You know, that short lived show about the 4 sisters played by her, Lizzy Caplan, Jennifer Esposito, and Kiele Sanchez (who was of course Nikki from Lost. Was her character really that bad? She was kinda cute though.) Its like when I was watching that ep of CI and saw "Tammy Blanchard" in the credits, and was confused I didn't see her in the ep, but that's because I was thinking of Rachel Blanchard. (And how many of these chyx have I mentioned in this paragraph have you people saying, "Who?!" Watch more TV and movies!)
Hmm, so they have the new teacher going for Dan? Like I said, I'm hoping for some Dair this season, and I swear they are teasing it. Like the whole Rufus thinking Blair and Dan were dating and Dan doth protest too much, and now her father and Roman (and why are they there? Did the show shift into some alternate universe where they live in NYC, and Eleanor and Cyrus are the ones in France?!) give her that dog named "Handsome Dan" and she's insistent on changing the name. I mean, its an odd scene. Usually, when you have a scene like that, where a chick is given some pet with the name of some dude she knows, the dude is usually some she is or will be linked with romantically.
I was a little confused about Serena turning down Yale (Oh, I did find the whole Blair watching Gilmore Girls and thinking she was better suited to Yale than Rory line hilarious) and what they were going for there. It did seem like she was sad. Was it sad because she was thinking if they went off to college together, it could fix the weirdness between her and Dan because their parents are dating? (I still say they're old enough that it shouldn't be a deal breaker) I mean, obviously, if they all got in, it would work out perfectly, because then she'd be going to college with her best friend and her boyfriend. But it seemed other than that, she wasn't really interested in Yale. So when Blair didn't get in, and the fact that she and Dan were getting more distant, it seemed like she thought the choice was obvious. I guess it just seems obscure what she's sad about, because its not the answer to her and Dan, or if she did start wanting to go to Yale.
And I still think it makes no sense for them not to take Blair if they were really interested in Serena. I guess they don't know of that dynamic where Serena would never go if Blair didn't get in. So I think if Serena really wanted them to all go to Yale, she could've made that caveat that she would only go if Blair got in. Its not like she's trying to make them accept some moron, Blair is Yale material.
Owel, it is odd that Nate and Vanessa were the "normal" couple this ep. But Chuck living with the Van Der Woodsens while she's dating Rufus should be awkward. But it is cool they mended things, because it seemed Lily was always fond of Chuck, even in the beginning.

On 24, while I obviously don't think Jack should kill Walker, I'm not sure the whole faking her death thing is well thought out. I mean, she still doesn't know they're undercover, though I guess she'd suspect it given both Tony and Jack were fake burying her when it was obvious she was still alive. But even though they saved her life, if she shows up at the FBI all fine, their cover is blown. I guess since they're going straight to that one guy afterwards, they think they can get to him before she shows up back alive? Because there's still a mole over at the FBI who will tell the baddies that she's still alive. And when Jack "turned", she thought the whole mole in the FBI was a BS story he made up, so its not like she knows there's really a mole.
Oh, and what a surprise, that one guy's wife did make it to the ground safe and sound! But apparently he's having an affair with that blond chick!

Heh, on Kyle XY, I had a feeling that the "soulmate" might be referring to Jessie. But then again, the Latnok guy got the psychic to tell Kyle that to eff with him. But it seemed like he didn't really cause that accident. And when he was talking with TA guy, it didn't seem like he knew that's where they would end up, given he had to ask the TA guy where they were going. So did he tell the psychic just to say those things to see how it would play out, or was it part of some master plan. Because it seems more like the former.

On House, I can't believe he did not realize he was indeed pulling the pipes out because he was using it as a brace to get iinto the tub. So why doesn't he have handles installed on the wall? But interesting, so 13 is getting the placebo?! And is it me, or is that the most effed up study ever? Isn't it supposed to be double blind and all that jazz? I don't think they would be too pleased to know he's macking on one of the participants. Plus, the nurse being all, "Oh, the real stuff smells!" kinda messes up the results also, because now he knows who's getting the placebo and who isn't, and that will affect how he interacts will all of them.
