Archer- So this was the episode featuring grammy winner and possible Faustian deal maker from Kenny Loggins Roasters, Kenny Loggins. Heh, Archer had mentioned "This is It!" which I was trying to remember what song that was of his. And its this one. Which is indeed an awesome one.

Being Human- Heh, I guess certain shippers loved this ep. Or at least parts of it. spoiler cut )

Here at work alone, because the other people claim they couldn't make it in. I mean, while its somewhat fine over here, I guess it is pretty snowy up north.

TV commentary:

HIMYM- Wait, I'm totally confused about the necklace because of the wonky timeline. spoiler cut )

Almost Human- You know, I totally forgot their was an ominous giant wall. How big is it, and what does it wall off? Like is it a giant wall that goes across the whole landmass, or at least across California or the US? Or is it walling in a part of the city? The way they talked about the other side, they made it sound like some post apocalyptic wasteland like that one Rhona Mitra movie. Like it can't just be splitting the city in half, I think it would either enclose part of the city, or extend a really long way. Because of it was just across the city, it seems like, "Okay, I'll just travel one direction a few hundred miles and just get around it that way!" spoiler cut )

Being Human- Ha, funny reaction there at the end. spoiler cut )

The Fosters- It still weirds me out that Max from WoWP is considered a hearthrob. spoiler cut )

The Following- I was right! spoiler cut )

What the frick, MTV, I start watching Teen Wolf, and not only do you not do the repeat at 1130 that I can record since I have other shows to record at 10, you have some delay on the streaming too? Of course, it wouldn't have been an issue last night if the guide didn't claim last night's ep of Castle was new when it was a repeat!!

TV commentary:

Being Human- It was nice to see some Sally-Nora bonding time, I totally forget that they both had formerly in an abusive relationship thing, like real bad (Sally's bf killed her, Nora's disfigured her) I also forgot they killed both those guys. Well, technically Sally drove hers crazy, and he eventually killed himself. But yeah, I like seeing Nora with the others so she's more than just Josh's wife. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

The Fosters- What the frick, Brallie? spoiler cut )

Castle- Heh, is the Lying Game chick! spoiler cut )

Teen Wolf- Heh, isn't sushi prevalent enough nowadays that no one would actually think wasabi was guac and put too much in their mouth? spoiler cut )

Being Human- Ah, so we finally find out what's up with Susanna. spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Hart of Dixie- That seems like an idiotic distraction. spoiler cut )

Being Human- Ha, that's kinda an obscure reference nowadays, isn't it? spoiler cut )

Saw the new Hobbit movie with the usual suspects. I enjoyed it a lot more than the first. I did not realize Stephen Fry was in this. Nor did I know that Kili was played by the British Being Human vampire guy, or that Azog was Slade from Arrow. Or that Bard the Bowman was gonna be played by the bad guy from the Fast and the Furious 6. I also found it interesting Lake Town has a few black people. Nothing wrong with that, its nice to see non-white humans in these movies who aren't evil foreigners working for Sauron for a change. But where are my Asian people?

Evangeline Lilly is totally hott as Tauriel the elf. Yeah, she's not a character from the books, but hey, its nice to have some females in this trilogy. spoiler cut )

So Avril has that new single out called "Here's to Never Growing Up". But what does singing Radiohead at the top of you lungs have to do with not growing up?

Also saw this trailer for an upcoming romantic comedy starring Rory Gilmore and Chuck from Chuck on Cracked:

They refer to it as a lame version of Groundhog Day, but isn't it actually just 50 First Dates? Actually, I'm not even seeing the whole Groundhog day thing anyways! Isn't it the total opposite of Groundhog day? He thinks its the same day every day, but everyone else knows its different?

ME blather- Finally made it to the top 5% in the world on the challenge boards! Also got the marksman banner. Anyways, deployed a vorcha sentinel last night. He's actually exactly the same as the Vorcha soldier, except he gets cluster grenades instead of carnage. The even have the same shields and health, so that one power is the only diff between the two. I don't know which one is supposed to be better. I guess the advantage of the sentinel is that since clusters are a grenade power, it doesn't compete with the flamer cooldown like carnage does. Thus, one can immolate enemies, and you can immediately set off a bunch of fire explosions by tossing in a cluster grenade. Also, the cluster grenade may be a quicker way to get all your bloodlust stacks- its got a farther range than flamer, and you don't have to charge at the enemy flame blazing, you can just toss a grenade at a group and duck or run away, and if you take out three of them, boom, you're at max bloodlust.

But yeah, its turning out that the Blood Pack may be my favorite group in the game, I'm actually looking forward to completing Blood Pack mastery and getting the "Monster" banner. I've already done the required amount of waves for the Battlemaster, Vorcha Soldier, and Warlord, and used ballistic blade enough. Carnage use is about to pop, leaving me 4 more challenges to complete to finish it. I'm halfway through the batarian soldier, and I can use the batarian brawler, vorcha sentinel, and krogan soldier, after all, they are all fun to play.

TV commentary:

Being Human- Season finale! What the?! spoiler cut )

I had heard people say "Being Human" is being canceled, but I guess that's the British version? Man, I'm gonna be so pissed if its the American version and all this is left unresolved.

TV commentary:

Being Human- I wonder if Pete is on the level? I mean, its hard to trust anyone on TV who acts all nice, particularly with Liam and the witch lady lurking about. After Erin, he could be working with one of them. Interesting to find out about Aidan's early years as a vamp- apparently he got back with his wife, who accepted his vampiness, but refused to be turned and wanted him to eventually find love again once he was gone.

Anyways, he survives the flu, because apparently the cure is werewolf blood. He ends up telling Blake (heh, I finally figured out where I'd seen her before, she's Imogen's mom on Degrassi!) mostly because he knows she wouldn't give up until she figured out he was cured, and to tell her that Josh and Nora are off limits. Part of me is wondering if he is purposely trying to start a war because of Liam? I mean, how could he not think he was practically pulling the pin on a grenade here? The wolves and vamps hate each other before all this, and when the vamps were weakened the wolves began hunting them. Does he really think telling the vamps, "hey, the cure to the plague that has been killing us off is sucking the blood of a werewolf" is not going to start war in the streets?

And crap, Nick had better not have eaten Zoe!

Oh geez, are they really using the Pope's upcoming retirement to market "The Last Exorcism 2"? (Also, how the hell do you have a LAST exorcism 2?) They like use the tagline, "We are no longer protected!" because I guess the Pope retiring somehow makes people more susceptible to demonic possession.

TV commentary:

The Following- I knew the deputy chick was one of the followers! Though seriously, how many friggin followers are out there?

Castle- So, Alexis was looking quite well made up for someone who was ostensibly being held hostage. And so Castle's dad is some big super-spy? Sure, why not.

Being Human- Hmm, so Aidan fights Erin back hard, hospitalizing her, and Nora's skeptical about his story of Erin poisoning his blood and coming after him. And him hitting it off with her one friend subletting her apartment isn't helping any. But she's a like a PhD candidate for some sort of history, which he lived through! Unfortunately, Liam ends up smothering Erin and killing her in order to drive a further wedge between the wolves and vamps. Heh, and Josh just told Nora even though Aidan's like his brother, he'll always choose her. Looks like he may have to test that theory.

Aidan's also bumps into some young vamp Blake who has her sights on Kenny and his blood, promising to turn him if he feeds her. So, Aidan eventually invokes his age and claims Kenny for his own in order to protect him from her.

And in the Sally part of things, she reconnects with that one friend of hers, who turned all wiccan after their last encounter. After finding out at the amateurish Wiccan group meetings, ghost have been crashing it and possessing the members, she chases them off, but not before revealing to them she used to be a ghost. In the end, she gives away her protective amulet, and notices her hair is starting to fall out.

TV commentary:

Being Human- One good thing about Sally no longer being a ghost is she can wear different outfits now. And they dress her up nice. Interesting though, is Liam just letting the matter go because Josh showed backbone? Or is he just biding his time?

Pretty Little Liars- Argh, just when I was hoping Spencer was going to warn her friends Toby is on the A-team given Emily was wanting to talk to him, frickin A has to threaten Spencer not to lest she hurt one of the other Liars. Owel, at least now there's a reason for her not to tell the others.

But heh, crazy Spencer is wild! Strip trivia to try and get her spot on the academic bowl team back? Ha, and then Emily comes blundering in, salting her game. And weird, both Melissa and Wren are back? Anyways, since Wren shows up because Mona told him Spencer's unraveling. So, Spencer decides to trick him into driving her to the practice, where she confronts Mona. Unfortunately, Mona pushes her buttons, and gets Spencer to try and strangle her, making her look like even more of a crazy person.

Interesting though, Emily wants to nip the Jason looking into Wilden thing in the bud, but since he has some corroborating information, Emily's pulled into the investigation. And turns out Jason was only acting all friendly to Mona just to get info about his sister's death. And we get another flashback to that night. So apparently after Aria's dad left and he saw Melissa on the porch, Melissa had a discussion with Cece, but since Jason was drunk off his ass that night, he wasn't sure how real a memory that was. But they do discover Ali was indeed spending time with Wilden. And Cece was also fully aware they were together, despite telling Emily she didn't know Wilden. For their trouble, A traps them in an elevator.

Jason does prop the door open for Emily to get out- don't they know you're not supposed to crawl out of a stuck elevator just in case it starts moving?! But its lucky she did get out, because then the elevator plummets with Jason in it. And in the chaos, Jason says the picture was stolen. Luckily all he has is a few broken bones. But then he disappears from the hospital room! Now was it the A-tem kidnapping him? Was he on the A-team, and this was him tricking Emily? Or, given he was almost killed, did he sneak away to go after the A-team on his own? His accident does manage to snap Spencer out of her funk, albeit temporarily. I'm sure him disappearing isn't great for her fragile state.

Meanwhile, Hanna's trying to reconcile Caleb with his uncle-dad. And Hanna manages to get Pastor Ted to give Caleb's dad a job. Yeah, that's not going to blow up in her face! Heh, I was wondering why they were showing her put that money with the little drawing on it in the church poor box, but that was so she could see Caleb's dad pay the pizza guy with it, so she could see he was a thief.

Aria is hanging with the young Fitz, helping out Cece, who's encouraging to move onto little brother while big brother is away. And for some reason Cece leaves to pick up dinner, and then calls Aria saying her car was towed and she can't make it back, from her car! So is it some A-plan, or is she being all creepy trying to get Aria and Wes to hook up. Which they might, particularly since he's all homeless and needs a place to stay (heh, it worked for Caleb and Hanna). And indeed, while he and Aria hang out, he thinks they have a moment and plants one on her.

Finally beat ME2 today. Got everything the way I want it, so no need to replay again before starting ME3 like I had to do with the first ME. Since there was a limited amount of credits in this game, I was worried I wouldn't be able to get everything. But I was able to not only buy all the armor and upgrades, but the fish and hamster and all the ship models, with credits to spare! (I wasn't planning on getting the fish, but apparently if you get the one special blue fish to survive both games, you get a bonus when you NG+ ME3) Ended up romancing Miranda. Although it was actually kinda annoying since I accidentally locked her in early, which I didn't realize would cut off the conversation options with Jack and Tali.

I had heard if you kept a LI "locked in" and the others in the "challenge" stage, after the suicide mission you could dump who you were with and play out the other romances. Since I wanted to see what they were like, I saved, and then dumped Miri just to see what the other two girls were like. But after I told one or the other that I chose them instead, it would go through their romance dialogue, but then the game would crash afterward. Owel, I actually cared more about the dialogue than some pg-13 animated sex scene, but still! But yeah, I didn't know about Jack's old partner who sacrificed himself for her and was the first person actually there for her and wanted to build this happy life for them. Kinda sad. And Tali's little crush was quite endearing. I heard some people complained it was out of the blue and pandering, but why wouldn't she be crushing on Shepard? He's the first human to not look down on her kind, always treated her with respect (well, at least the way I play him) and he's this big friggin hero who survived giant killer worms and mind-controlling plant monsters and a race of ancient sentient space-ships and their organic and robotic agents. Why wouldn't she be all hot for him?

So there's a new Resident Evil 6 trailer out:

So the girl is indeed Sherry, and the mysterious guy with her is Wesker's son? And wait, is the villainess in this supposed to be Ada? People seem to think it is, and that would kinda make sense if it is for Leon to fight Chris when he tries to attack her.

Being Human- What in the world was that season finale?! I guess the last episode made everyone flip their lids!? spoiler cut )

So I was reading this TWoP article about other shows/movies/games from '99 that should get a reunion like American Pie is, and I had totally forgotten there was a Party of Five (pgv('What the hell is Party of Five?!')) spin off starring JLH's character. And that it had Jennifer Garner, post-Felicity, but before Alias. I think I did see one episode. I had no idea Abby from NCIS was also in it though.
