Finally beat ME2 today. Got everything the way I want it, so no need to replay again before starting ME3 like I had to do with the first ME. Since there was a limited amount of credits in this game, I was worried I wouldn't be able to get everything. But I was able to not only buy all the armor and upgrades, but the fish and hamster and all the ship models, with credits to spare! (I wasn't planning on getting the fish, but apparently if you get the one special blue fish to survive both games, you get a bonus when you NG+ ME3) Ended up romancing Miranda. Although it was actually kinda annoying since I accidentally locked her in early, which I didn't realize would cut off the conversation options with Jack and Tali.
I had heard if you kept a LI "locked in" and the others in the "challenge" stage, after the suicide mission you could dump who you were with and play out the other romances. Since I wanted to see what they were like, I saved, and then dumped Miri just to see what the other two girls were like. But after I told one or the other that I chose them instead, it would go through their romance dialogue, but then the game would crash afterward. Owel, I actually cared more about the dialogue than some pg-13 animated sex scene, but still! But yeah, I didn't know about Jack's old partner who sacrificed himself for her and was the first person actually there for her and wanted to build this happy life for them. Kinda sad. And Tali's little crush was quite endearing. I heard some people complained it was out of the blue and pandering, but why wouldn't she be crushing on Shepard? He's the first human to not look down on her kind, always treated her with respect (well, at least the way I play him) and he's this big friggin hero who survived giant killer worms and mind-controlling plant monsters and a race of ancient sentient space-ships and their organic and robotic agents. Why wouldn't she be all hot for him?
TV commentary:
Being Human- Is it me, or is Sally pretty cute? Now is she poisonous in general, or only towards people who knew her when she used to be alive? I guess if Zoe drops dead we'll know for sure. And interesting, Henry actually survived being flayed alive, and Mother end up dying off screen.
Pretty Little Liars- Wow, Mona is rjv('cold blooded!') Poor Spencer actually figures out Toby is evil and she does tear into him. But then she shows up later at his apartment, begging him to tell her he's like a double agent or give some reason he's on the A-team. But all the while, its Mona in there, just eating the dinner Spencer had lovingly made for Toby before finding out he was one of the bad guys. How deliciously cruel!
And yep, Meredith was as crazy as she was on OTH, drugging Aria and locking the girls in the basement. But Byron isn't as evil as he was made out to be. Indeed, he's kinda crushed that Aria thinks him a murderer. Only time will tell if he's a big faker or not. But he finishes up Garrett's flashback- he basically called Alison's bluff (according to dream Ali, it was a bluff, she wanted the money, but she was never going to screw over Aria like that, but can you really trust the word of something that's just in Aria's head?) and was going to come clean. But then she disappeared, and was too scared to say he met with her the last night she was seen alive, as that does indeed look very suspicious. But he claims he wasn't the last to see Ali- just before he leaves, he sees Melissa on her porch, and its possible she went to talk to Ali. I guess time will also tell if Melissa is as crazy as she was on OTH.
While things were revealed for the Liars, there was one thing they did not learn- Paige and Caleb are teaming up behind the Liar's back to protect their loved ones from the A-team. That was a surprise, when Hanna learned Caleb was secretly meeting with someone to take on Mona, I figured it was Lucas.
