TV commentary:

CSI- So I don't watch this show regularly, but I saw the commercials for the 2 hour series finale and decided to see how it all ended. Particularly since it looked like they were revisiting Grissom and Sara, and they were even bringing Lady Heather back.

But weird, for some reason they had Katie Stevens playing Catherine's daughter. I mean, it was a pleasant surprise, but could they not get Kay Panabaker for some reason? And I'm sorry, but that was kinda hilarious that half the ep, Gil had no idea who she was and asks Catherine "Where did that girl come from?" and she's all, "Um, my vagina?" In his defense, she did look totally different!

Heh, anyways, they totally ripped off the ending from the 3rd season finale of Dawson's Creek with Sara showing up at the docks. Like I was half expecting Grissom to be all, "But the crime lab, they need you!" and Sara being all, "Not as much as I need you!" That was a weird set up though. So Catherine tells Ted Danson, "I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for your successor!" because she has the casino, and her daughter just became a CSI (aren't those both potential conflicts of interest?) and that employee of hers died and orphaned her two daughters, so I guess Catherine is going to adopt them. But yeah, Catherine wants to be considered, presuming Sara doesn't take it, since she's the front runner.

But Sara did get it, and its only after Lindsey was all, you should watch Lady Heather's exit interview that she like took off to meet Gil at the docks. Like, did she quit after just getting the job? And if she didn't do that, what was Catherine going to do? Would she have just quit her FBI job to go back to being a lemming? I guess money's not an issue, since she freaking owns a casino.

Lost Girl- How deliciously cruel! spoiler cut )

So After Ellen has their Hot 100 list out, and I guess like the previous one (well, the 2013 one, they didn't have a list in 2014) I actually do know the Top 10:

10) K-Stew
9) Elise Bauman
8) T-Mas
7) Evelyne Brochu
6) Laura Prepon
5) Natasha Negovanlis
4) Lana Parilla
3) Shay Mitchell
2) Alycia Debnam Carey
1) Ruby Rose

Its interesting how show-dependent their lists end up being. No Lost Girl or Glee chyx in the top 10 this year, but they do have representatives from Orphan Black, OITNB, PLL, OUAT, and the 100.

TV commentary:

Lost Girl- Weird! When they were showing the cheerleaders, I was thinking, hmm, the cute bitchy one kinda looks like a young version of Berlin from Defiance (or for those of you who don't watch that, Ollie's baby mama on Arrow/Flash) Not that Anna Hopkins is old, it just looked like a teenage version of her (I mean, she's only 27, and plenty of people her age are playing teens on TV). But lo and behold, it actually was her. Maybe the cheerleading uniform made her look younger?

Also, cheerleader Tamsin was nice, but is it me, or was she kinda hot in the football uniform. spoiler cut )

Librarians- Hmm, Alicia Witt was looking nice on last night's Librarians. Heh, the last few roles I'd seen her in, she was kinda playing white trash (FNL, Justified) so its interesting to see her all cleaned up and classy looking again. (Also, so is this where Sin from Arrow ran off to? Interesting that she still has the boy short hairstyle) spoiler cut )

So, got back to the ATL on Sat after a pretty uneventful flight. Well, it was delayed from taking off a bit because the plane had to get de-iced since it started snowing in NYC that afternoon.

Anyways, since my church is doing renovations, they've changed the mass schedule around, pushing forward the 930 mass to 9am. Which is kinda throwing off the rest of my schedule, because they actually have to keep it under an hour since they had to expand the number of masses because they're having to utilize a smaller space while the main sanctuary is being worked on. So it does end by 10am, which is kinda early, because then I'm done with my grocery shopping for the week around 1030, which is a little before some places are open for lunch. I suppose I could go to the 1030 mass, but I think that's going to be way more crowded.

Hit Macy's today to use the gift card I got for Christmas. I picked up a Sonic Care toothbrush and an electric razor. It was supposed to be enough to use up my gift card and break into some of the Christmas money I got, but both items were apparently on sale, and ended up being $60 less than I was expecting. So I ended up with $11 left over, which I'll have to use at some point.

The Librarians- Pretty hilarious episode. Interesting though. spoiler cut )

Lost Girl- Wait, when Kenzi's all, "It won't go Baba Yaga, I promise!" she pronounces it what I think is the normal way- "Bah-bah Yah-Ga". I coulda sworn when they had Baba Yaga a few seasons ago, she was pronouncing it "Babuh Yuhga". spoiler cut )

You know, I had seen Monty Oum post stuff about RWBY on his deviantart page, but I had thought it was an upcoming project, I didn't know it had been on Rooster Teeth since last July! So, I caught up on that. Pretty cool series, and I like the soundtrack.

Hey, Autumn Reeser replied to one of my tweets again. Kenzi's mermaid excitement in the latest episode of Lost Girl reminded me of how whenever I think of "Part of Your World", I'm always reminded of the episode when Taylor was trying to get Ryan to say the L-word on the OC by getting him drunk, only she got drunk first, and she ended up serenading him with that Little Mermaid song and calling him her Prince Eric. Only they just reference that as something that happened off screen, which is so disappointing, because that would've been cute to get to see that scene.

TV commentary:

The Fosters- Oh, heh, there was one quote from Mariana in last night's ep that I totally missed, which does make the rest of the family's feelings on the Brallie thing stronger than I thought. spoiler cut )

The Originals- I realize they had to come up with this to get everyone on the same page, but its silly because why wouldn't the witches tell anyone about these consequences if the Harvest wasn't completed. spoiler cut )

Played Just Dance for the first time the other day before geek fun at [livejournal.com profile] zarathustra94 and [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler's. Its amusing enough, but the interface is confusing as hell. I mean, it seems the intention is to mimic the dancer on the screen, but they also have stick figures at the bottom right indicating the movement you should do. And some times they don't mesh. Like I'll see the stick figure and be all, "WTF, are they telling me to do?" when I'd be better off just ignoring it and copying the person on the screen.

Still, I'm awkward and stiff, so I'd still much prefer singing Katy Perry or Lady Gaga than dance to them.

TV commentary:

Lost Girl- That was an effing confusing way to do an episode! spoiler cut )

Went to LI on Saturday, managed to use up the Bloomingdale's gift card, which is good, because I didn't know if there was a Bloomies in Atlanta. (Though checking now, there's one in Lenox mall) Heh, ate at Friday's as usual for lunch, not that's a bad thing. Yeah, they always go there, but it has enough variety that there's something for everyone.

Sunday went to NJ for R and J's twins' Christening. Well, we went to the reception, we didn't go to the actual Christening since it was Episcopalian. Given it was a relatively big event, I was kinda hoping A would be there. I mean, J's brother and his family had come up from Florida so I figured she might come up too. Like I was hoping I'd see her Christmas, but if not, at this thing. But alas, no. Still, it was a nice time. Good food, the DJ started with some easy listening of the 60-80s, but then started doing more recent stuff. I'm still trying to figure out what the Charlie Brown move that the guy in that Cha Cha slide song is telling people to do.

Dad used the Best Buy card I got him to get Elysium and Percy Jackson:Sea of Monsters. I'd already seen the former, but I hadn't seen the latter, so watched that. It wasn't too bad. I'm a little sad the movies weren't so successful here, because from what I've picked up about the series, it seems interesting enough. And hey, it has Alexandra Daddario looking all hot, as well as Leven Rambin as a brunette, playing a daughter of Ares (so, points there). Plus, you know how much I like neurotic and/or bitchy blue eyed brunettes.

TV commentary:

Lost Girl- Heh, I thought that whole thing with Bo washing the car while Lauren and Dyson watched was just an amusing promo they were doing for the upcoming season, I didn't realize it would actually be in an ep. spoiler cut )
