Hey, Autumn Reeser replied to one of my tweets again. Kenzi's mermaid excitement in the latest episode of Lost Girl reminded me of how whenever I think of "Part of Your World", I'm always reminded of the episode when Taylor was trying to get Ryan to say the L-word on the OC by getting him drunk, only she got drunk first, and she ended up serenading him with that Little Mermaid song and calling him her Prince Eric. Only they just reference that as something that happened off screen, which is so disappointing, because that would've been cute to get to see that scene.
TV commentary:
The Fosters- Oh, heh, there was one quote from Mariana in last night's ep that I totally missed, which does make the rest of the family's feelings on the Brallie thing stronger than I thought. When the twins compare Brandon to Liam, Brandon is all, "Screw you!" to Mariana, to which she replies, "I'm surprised you haven't tried!" Wow, they really are kinda disgusted by the whole sitch and think Brandon is some kinda freak.
The Originals- I realize they had to come up with this to get everyone on the same page, but its silly because why wouldn't the witches tell anyone about these consequences if the Harvest wasn't completed. Like saying they'll lose their magic, of course the other supes could care less. But if not completing the harvest would destroy NOLA, isn't that something they should've warned them all about?
But heh, once Hayley tells Elijah about giving Sophie the location of Celeste's bones, he's mad and gives her the cold shoulder. So she's all weepy, right in time for her to see Klaus' nice side, seeing how he was secretly helping the werewolves in the bayou. Anyways, Celeste's bones not being able to be consecrated had me suspicious, but more on that later.
I liked how they got everyone to work together to finish the harvest. Marcel didn't want to do it at first, and kill Davina, but eventually she convinces him that she's dead either way, and if they don't finish the harvest, she'll take everyone but the Mikaelsons with her.
But yeah, since Klaus keeps their mom's bones in one the coffins, they formulate a plan- if they bury her on a descendant's grounds in NOLA, her magic will be connected and flow through them. Even though they can't use that magic, it allows them to take the place of an elder to finish the harvest. So, they put the plantation in Hayley's name, since she's carrying Klaus' child, father Kiernan gives their mother a proper burial, and the Mikaelsons and Sophie finish the ritual.
It does stop NOLA from blowing up, but alas, the girls do not resurrect and the witches supposedly lose their magic. Obviously, they're all crushed. Sophie is devastated, and Marcel is pissed. He blames Klaus, because everything was fine before he came, but he has to know this was an inevitably, she would always implode. But aw, Klaus reveals how much he actually cared about Marcel.
And interesting, when Hayley confronts Elijah in the end, wondering why he's choosing some dead witch over her, he said he's only loved 2 people in his lifetime. Obviously one was Celeste, and who's number 2? Was he admitting his love of Hayley or was he referring to Katherine?
But yeah, in the end, the Bekster wonders where all that magic went if the witches didn't get it back. But turns out Sabine hijacked it and used it to resurrect Bastiana and two mysterious figures, a black guy in a suit and a flapper looking girl. Oh, and Sabine is really Celeste in diguise! I mean, when the bones didn't work, it was obvious that she was still alive, but I did not expect her to be Sabine. Like at the most, I suspected she was in league with Celeste. But that does make the conversation Elijah and Sabine earlier take on a whole new meaning, particularly since he didn't know he was talking to his lost love.
But what the hell, is Davina dead, dead? I mean, this show has a supernatural element, so she can come back, right? I actually liked her character, particularly her friendship with Josh.
