Lost Girl- That was unexpected. I mean I guess the show is ending, but I did not expect Trick to go out like that. Especially off screen.
But let's start at the beginning. Aife breaks out of the mental institution she's apparently been in this whole time. So the gang breaks to Bo they kinda knew she was already alive. And Jack's gone now too. So she goes to the penthouse to look for clues, and finds her mom playing house with her dad.
Bo is shocked, thinking her mom must be under some sort of spell to be back with Hades. But she claims she always loved Jack, and Trick was the bad guy in all this. During the war between Light and Dark, her mom was killed, and Aife went off book and killed a dark elder in revenge. To keep the peace, supposedly Trick turned her over to the dark, where they did "unspeakable things" to her for a long time before Jack rescued her.
Bo doesn't know what to believe, just that it disgusts her to see her parents together. So she leaves, and Aife quickly follows her, saying it was all for show, and they're going to send Jack back to hell. Bo's receptive. Until she asks what the plan is, and her mom is all, "What are you talking about, this is your plan!" and Bo claims she never talked to her mom since she was in the institution.
Which causes Aife to flip out and think she's nuts again. So they lock her back up and Bo confronts her gramps, saying this is all his fault, that his actions over the centuries drove her mom to madness. Trick tearily says mistakes wre made, but he loved his daughter, and gives Bo a box of recordings from the institution.
Bo watches them with Lauren and Tamsin and sees her mom ranting about how there's an evil in Bo and she needs to kill her. Bo sadly laments her mom's madness. But then Tamsin finds a disc showing another visitor. Bo! They quickly realize its someone who took her form rather than Bo's mind being wiped of the event. They put together that Jack's been disguising himself as Bo, and she's all ready to take on her dad for his deception when she and Lauren realize Tamsin is frozen in shock and fear. Tamsin asks if they made love the other night, and Bo says they didn't, and they come to the realization that Jack raped her.
So Dyson, Bo, and Tamsin charge in to the penthouse, and Tamsin smacks Jack around a bit, to no effect, and then Bo tries to use a special dagger Tamsin had stolen from Zee and Hera before they left. Its also ineffectual, and he rips it out of himself and tosses it into Dyson.
They run away and licks their wounds, and Bo goes to protect her mom and Trick from fake-her. Unfortunately, Trick has already gone to rescue his daughter from the Institution, his argument with Bo earlier making him feel ultra guilty. But Jack's there, and then we cut to Bo calling the gang back saying her mom wasn't at the Institution. She shows up at the penthouse, and pulls on a suspicious rope- which reveals a tableau of Aife and Trick, their throats cut. Aife's already dead, but Trick lives long enough to have a teary heartfelt goodbye with Bo.
Dyson shows up soon after, and upon seeing the body of his closest friend, wants revenge. But then he notices Bo is frozen. Perhaps the shock of losing her mom and grandpa so suddenly was too much for her?
Oh, and Tamsin's hair is starting to fall out again. She's worried she's about to die, but Lauren runs some tests on her. After finding out about Jack's rape of Tamsin though, Lauren runs one more test, and sure enough, Tamsin is preggers.
