Hmm, so Guyism came up with the 66 most underrated women of 2010 list. Though you'd think they'd come up with some more flattering pics of them! Anyway, I applaud them for picking more than a few "geebs-famous" chyx. I do find some of their choices... interesting.

I always remark on the top 10, but let's do top 20:

20) Alaina Huffman- I first saw her on sci fi channel's "Painkiller Jane" as the chick who wasn't the T-X. But, she's also Black Canary on Smallville and the medic chick on SGU.

19) Kaya Scodelario- Effy from Skins! You know, I've never actually watched the show, even though it seems like it would be right up my alley.

18) Noureen Dewulf- I think her cred stems from "West Bank Story", but I remember her from things like Matthew Mcconaughey's assistant in "Ghosts from Girlfriend's Past", and playing a hot delivery girl who was really an assassin/spy in that episode of Chuck when the boss' giant fish went missing, or from her bit part in Ocean's 13, of which there were many "geebs famous" people playing bit parts. (Like Mohinder's Wife)

17) Yvonne Strahovski- speaking of Chuck, Sarah (or Sam! Oops, spoiler alert!)

16) Mary Elizabeth Winstead- I agree, MEW is quite underrated and thus belongs on this list!

15) Sarah Shahi- Also very under-rated! I mean, who remembers her character on Alias, or watched Life? How has she not been in more stuff?!

14) Peyton List- Wow, three actually under-rated chyx in a row. But hey, at least she's moved on from guest spots on crime procedurals (she was even on SVU twice, as a young gymnast, and then a young socialite who gets raped and murdered by Trey Atwood) to shows like Mad Men and Flashforward. I guess the latter was canceled though!

13) Francia Raisa- Adrian from SLotAT, she was in one of the "Bring It On"s and two "The Cutting Edge"s. How have there been four "The Cutting Edge"s?! I mean, I liked the original (hey, Moira Kelly was hott!), but if you told me back then it would spawn not one but three sequels, I'd be skeptical!

12) Autumn Reeser- Another extremely under-rated actress. I think she has a new show coming out this fall TV season, and she's reprising her role on Entourage this current season. Hopefully they'll have her back on Human Target, because the team is too much of a sausage party currently. Owel, her TV roles are fine, if only she could be in better movies than "Lost Boys 2: The Tribe" or "Smokin' Aces 2" or "The American Mall". I guess she did have a bit part in "The Girl Next Door" along with fellow OC alum Olivia Wilde. But that was way earlier in her career. She should be moving up, not down!

11) Alexis Dziena- hey, I always thought she was kinda cute, even if she looks like an underage Russian hooker. (HOTT!)

10) Tori Praver- actually, I'm not familiar.

9) Jessica Gomes- that one swimsuit model chick who's like a mix of everything! Okay, just Singaporean and Portugese. But you don't see too many of those!

8) Renee Olstead- I always thought her to be "geebs-cute" and all, but wow, I'm surprised she's on this list. I mean, if you told me the top 10 had to have a SLotAT girl, she wouldn't have been the one I expected. I guess she is under-rated in that way.

7) Isabel Lucas- the Pretender chick from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Hey, I thought she was pretty hot in that, particularly in that ridiculously skimpy dress.

6) Kelly Carlson- Kimber from Nip/Tuck! I always thought she was kinda hot. Has she been in anything besides Nip/Tuck and "The Marine"?

5) Nina Dobrev- Definitely under-rated. But now that she's moved from Degrassi to the Vampire Diaries, she should start getting more play.

4) Rachel Taylor- The other Transfomers chick, the one who's not Mrs. BAG. (Megan Fox marrying BAG the other day. cliffv('What's up with that?!')) She was hot, but I disagree with this list's assertion that she was hotter than Megan Fox.

3) Elsa Pataky- I know the name, but I know nothing of her.

2) Olga Kurylenko- Pretty hot and under-rated. It seemed like she was going somewhere with roles in that one Bond movie with the funny name and "Max Payne" and "Hitman". Okay, I guess the latter two weren't so great.

1) Camilla Belle- She's hot, yet she's hardly in anything. Well, that's not true- "10,000 BC", "Push", and "When a Stranger Calls" (the call is coming from inside the house!), but who actually watched those? I think the only movie I've seen her in all the way through is "The Chumscrubbers". Oh, I guess there's also "The Quiet", with Elisha Cuthbert, but how can you have a movie where they play cousins who live in the same house and there's no hot lesbo-incest? bbv('That is total BS!')

Cool, my new work laptop came in finally. Plus, my new office is ready to move into, will have to do some furniture re-arranging when I get back to work on Monday. But, while I've gotten cool new perks, also got new responsibilities to take care of. Actually, it does freak me out just a little bit whenever the bossman talks about the future and me and DW taking over for him and S. I mean, those are some tall shoes to fill, and they're not actually that far off from retiring. I really need to get my act together or something.

TV Commentary:

Glee/Community- So my sources tell me those ribs against Glee are good natured (as I suspected)- turns out they share some sets (and Abed's father is also Principal Figgins), and there is a friendly rivalry going on there.

Supernatural- That was a little anti-climactic! spoiler cut )

Fringe- spoiler cut )

Smallville- I was right! spoiler cut )

Degrassi- Was the A plot really about Claire developing a crush on Declan whilst writing fanfic for the Degrassi universe's version of Twilight?! Seriously? I remember reading this season's eps where out of order, apparently the prom ep from a few eps back was supposed to be between this week's and last weeks. Which does seem to make sense particularly in regards to Sav and Anya. spoiler cut )

10 Things- Dang, this show is getting canceled? That kinda sux. Particularly since Secret Life has outlasted this and other way better shows. Speaking of, the whole Make It or Break It plug was kinda weird, though it did payoff in the end. Now, was Bianca saying its "the number one drama, set in the world of competitive gymnastics", or "the number one drama set in the world of competitive gymnastics"? I mean, I would think the latter, but maybe in that universe Make It or Break It is that highly rated. And wait, "reprise" is pronounced "re-preez"? I always heard it as "re-prize"!

Flashforward- Oh, ha, weird, I just noticed Vogel is one of the guys Brian races in the beginning of "2 Fast 2 Furious" (the other two being Sucre and Miho being the other two). spoiler cut )

Supernatural- I swear, some on the Supernatural writing staff must play white wolf games. While the show in general is very NWoD-ish, this ep was in the vein of Scion. spoiler cut )

Degrassi- Hey, its the return of Emma. So she's feeling all alone since Manny went to Hollywood and Liberty joined a sorority. Wait, didn't Liberty quit it because she found out they only took her in because they're trying to fulfill a quota? In any case, its odd that Holly J seemed to be Paige part deux when she first showed up, now she's closer to Emma Jr? spoiler cut )

So, during pre-Lost dinner at Ipps with the usual suspects, the doctor finally calls me back. While things do look better, he wants me back on those antibiotics, which, ugh. I've complained before about how these particular drugs make me feel, but better that than massive infection, I guess.

TV Commentary:

Flashforward- You know, it wasn't until I glossed over the TWoP recap for Flashforward that I realized I hadn't seen the latest ep? spoiler cut )

Criminal Intent- Just watching this right now, and since the ep was full of cute young ballerinas, looked up the actresses portraying them, as I am often wont to do. (How else would I know these Geebs-famous chyx?) But one of the names stuck out at me at first, then I realized, "Holy crap, that's little Delia Brown from Everwood!" Weird, she's certainly grown (though she's still not legal)! I totally didn't recognize her at all. And what's with all this faux lesbo-BS?! Delia and the Jessalyn chick act like they're star-crossed lovers totally obsessed with each other, but they don't even make out! cliffv('What's up with that?!')

Running on ~2 hours of sleep right now. Ugh. After geek fun at [livejournal.com profile] zarathrustra94 and [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler, headed over to the old roomie's place with [livejournal.com profile] clevemire for bored-gaming with them, ND, [livejournal.com profile] phatjoe and [livejournal.com profile] propace. After a game of Dominion, played Power Grid on the Korean map. It was fun enough, but it took entirely too long. But the usual suspects are totally hardcore when it comes to games like these, so that's to be expected. Of course, when going into their several minute analyses of the optimum move to make on their turn, they should never take into account that I'm going to react in the smart or most logical way, because I'm not necessarily gonna do that because I don't often think as far ahead as they do and I have poor strategic sense.

TV Commentary:

Flashforward- Since [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 was all, why haven't I had my commentary on this past ep yet, here it is. spoiler cut )

Dexter- (this is for last week's ep, not the one last night) Okay, when did Astor become a petulant bitch? Though I did find her whole "Why do you hate me?" to Dexter when he was trying to find a hobby for her pretty hysterical. spoiler cut )

Friday Night Lights- Interesting developments here. spoiler cut )

Went to Ippolito's for dinner for the first time in like years- its the same route to get from the house to the Roaster's on Roswell road, except one turns left at one point instead of following that one road down onto Roswell road, because that other street also intersects Roswell, but where Ipp's is. It was good as usual, though its weird how the place still looks the same.

Heh, before we left, I had heard the roomie watching "Modern Family" on his computer. Warming Glow had stated that Wednesday night's ep cemented itself as being the best new sitcom of the season over "Community", so that piqued the roomie's interest. The eldest daughter on the show is played by Sarah Hyland who I think [livejournal.com profile] clevemire once said looks like Mila Kunis' jailbait little sister. But ha, when the roomie first started watching he thought she was like 12 or something, then was all shocked that she was 15 on the show. Then he was even more shocked when I told him she was totally legal.

TV Commentary:

Flashforward- you know, this show has potential, but I don't think its really realized it yet. spoiler cut )

The Office- People said last week's ep was the worst, but this week's was less enjoyable in my opinion. (Oh, btw, is it me, or does the upcoming Subtle Sexuality Office webisodes sound like they might be awesome?) spoiler cut )

You know some people would say Glee owes its existence to the popularity of HSM (even though I think they have a different feel), and teen musical movies have been around for decades, but I think the movie that most reminds me of it is Sister Act 2, because of this awesome song at the climax:

Flashforward- You know what will get old quickly? People asking Joseph Fiennes, "How does this person know you?!" G, IDK, could it be the entire world flashing to April 29th?! spoiler cut )

The Office- So its the Jim and Pam wedding ep. I was trying to figure out what they meant by that youtube thing, because I apparently live under a rock and never heard of this Chris Brown's "Forever" wedding entrance video:

But I knew the song was a Chris Brown song, though only because of that one Doublemint gum commercial, so searched youtube for that and wedding to figure out what the hell they were referring to.

Glee- And since I can't seem to make a post without talking about my current TV obsession, Glee, here's a pretty cool vid covering the first six eps set to the "It's My Life/Confessions Part II" mashup:

You know, I think one of my favorite parts of "It's My Life" is the stomping. Because stomping in a song is cool, like in Rammstein's "Feuer Frei". It gets the crowd into it! But yeah, as someone said, its a nice little snippet to see what the show is like.

So what's this Resident Evil 5: AE that's coming out?

My sources tell me you'll get to play as Chris and Jill in those mansion missions that are just flashbacked to in normal RE5. But it sounds like these are just extra levels added to the normal RE5 game, and they're gonna sell it in stores as a sort of RE:5 special edition. Why the hell wouldn't they just do it as DLC? I mean, it sounds like Capcom is also gonna sell Super SF IV as a totally new game also. It seems kinda jerky to make them buy the same game again for some extra levels. Though I guess in the case of SFIV they supposedly did a lot of tweaks, but still.
