TV commentary:

Bones- Hmm, its seems any defense attorney worth their salt could get this case thrown out. Like once Hodgins was a suspect, why the eff did they let him continue to work the case? I get he's supposed to be one of the best there is, but the defense could totally call shenanigans on him handling evidence. Oh, and I get they were at a convention, and there were all sorts of neat new toys available. But 1) they're new and unproven, they're lucky the things didn't malfunction and compromise evidence and 2) again, aren't they worried the defense will bring up that they're using a totally new and unproven thing, which could have given them erroneous results?

Gracepoint- Heh, that's hilarious but also kinda sad. So Renee tries to be a media consultant for the family all, "your case isn't getting enough attention in the media because your son is not a pretty white girl. But you're a pretty white girl Beth, let me get a pic of you with your son to put in the papers so people will be all, 'OMG, that poor pretty white girl with the dead son!' and be more interested in your case!"

Elementary- Well, well! Sherlock's got a young new protege, Kitty. I'm fine with them adding more cute chicks to the show. In any case, its totally cool Joan basically took over the load when Sherlock left and has been a successful private detective on her own. And even better, that when Sherlock came back, they didn't immediately partner up, but decide to be peers who occasionally consult each other. Its a nice bit of character development.

Heh, I remember seeing on tumblr someone being all, "How can anyone think Sherlock is better than Elementary?" which you'd think would be nerd sacrilege. But they made that comment on a comparison gifset between the two shows, where John is an enabler, letting Sherlock be a dick, whereas Joan doesn't take his shit and tries to break him of his dickish habits. I mean, I get people like the dickish, but incredibly smart character, but sometimes its just too much, and it makes his friends look like idiots for continuing to let said character be such an effin a-hole. So its kinda refreshing to see someone not letting that character archetype continue to be such a prick to them by stepping out of their shadow and being their own person.

Vampire Diaries- Finally! So Bonnie figures out Kai doesn't contribute shit to the whole escape plan, other than having the ascendant. She finally does dare Kai to suck her magic away and kill her, but he can't, since the prison was made by a Bennett witch and thus only she can break it. So, she kills him.

Only, of course killing him won't actually kill him, because it would be a pretty lousy hell if he can just kill himself and escape via death. So right when Bamon are ready to leave, Kai ambushes them. There's a big fracas and Bonnie's wounded bad and Damon is struggling with Kai, but she musters the strength to teek him to the escape portal and give him the ascendant. And so, he gets to escape, and Bon-bon once again sacrifices herself for her friends. Seriously, I mean, its admirable that she's so selfless, but c'mon show, can you let her get a win for herself once? At least Damon does feel incredibly upset when he realizes Bonnie is sending him home without her.

And so we get to see his reunion with Stefan, and its sweet to see the brothers back together. Hopefully now this will cause Stefan to stop being a dick.

I mean, basically dumping Ivy on Caroline and then trying to run off? Huge dick move! I get Caroline brought Enzo to Savannah, which led to Ivy being turned. But still, isn't Ivy a girl he supposedly loved? Its like, "Oh, you're a vamp now, whatever, hit the bricks lady!" and casts her aside like trash? He was even all, "Oh, I slipped her new daylight ring under your door!" Wow, thanks guy, you're such a saint! I get that he wants to get away and start over. Even if Ivy isn't a vamp he sired, she was supposed to be someone he cared about, so not cool for him to not only cast her aside, but to make the girl who obviously is in love with him take care of his ex!

And Care bear tries. I will say, Ivy is kinda adorable as a vampire. I was amused by her freaking out when she didn't know how to compel the guy she attacked all, "Oh crap, I'm going to end up killing you!" So instead she sends the guy running for the hills (more on that in a minute). She calls Caroline to pick her up, but unfortunately Tripp (who does indeed seem to think Stefan is just a regular founding family human, unless he's doing a long con) finds her first and Caroline watches helplessly as he captures Ivy. Which is bad, because while Enzo is tough and actually does hold loyalty to the gang for some reason, Ivy is a newbie and might give them up.

But yeah, guy goes running out into the road, where Tyler (who was texting and driving) hits him and swerves into the big Homecoming party where everyone else is at). Luckily, everyone at the party survives, thanks to normal medical treatment and Elena giving someone her blood. But, they can't do anything for the guy Tyler hit. Tyler thinks he's going to be cursed again, but Ivy smothers the guy so she technically kills him so the curse won't activate.

She's really upset about the ordeal (though its not like she really killed someone, she just hastened his death along) but Tyler comforts her, telling her the guy was already on the way out, and she saved him (Tyler).

But one bit of info we also find out is that Dr. Jo is uncompelable. Its interesting, because it doesn't seem like she's someone secretly spying on them for Tripp or something. Alaric tries to compel her, and she hears the words, but she just thinks he's trying to be a martyr and give her an out on the world's worst date (because any date where a bunch of people almost die horrifically is pretty bad). So I wonder what her deal is? Does she know about vampires? Does she realize he tried to compel her? It seems like she doesn't, and it just didn't work for some reason. It'll be interesting to find out why.
