Heh, the other day, saw this vid dedicated to the bad-assedness of Pullo and Vorenus on Rome:

I had almost forgotten how violently bloody Rome was the few times they actually had action.

Anyhoo, I actually didn't watch the Teen Choice Awards this past Sunday night. What channel was it on, anyways? But with the Killpoint finale, the 4400, The Dead Zone, Entourage and Robot Chicken, I had enough on my plate that night. Of course, sites like Popoholic, Hollywoodtuna, The Bastardly and HQ Beat had pics of the chicks there. Though what on earth is with the outfit Hannah Montana was wearing?! Kinda scandalous for someone her age! And is Adrianne Palicki ginormous, or is Taylor Kitsch short? Imdb says he's a six footer, so she must be amazonian!

Ah, TJ just came down and said he has a feeling this is a good year for pieces of ace. Though taking a break because there are too many hot chyx in painted on low riding jeans and thongs around. cliffV('What's up with that?!') And do you believe there's that guy in Atlanta who wants to make such styles of dress illegal?! bbv('That's total BS!')

Crap, I had no idear it was break here at Tech. So, I ended up missing church because it was closed for the break. Owel, since that put me and hour and a half early for work, I wandered around campus for a bit. Apparently there was some anime convention at the student center this weekend? I suspected so since there were a bunch of peeps dressed up like Inyuasha and Naruto characters. But, the student center was strangely locked. Turns out someone had set off fireworks inside and they kicked everyone out and closed down the convention.

One thing I have to wonder about movies, where are these theaters that show like old movies?! I mean, one of my biggest pet peeves when you have characters watching some old flick from the 50s or 70s or whenever at some run down movie theater. Its like, do places like that still exist? I would think the big movieplexes have put small theaters just about out of business, and why would they show old flicks when you can just like order them on tape or dvd from the local video store or netflix or something?

Ah, I was trying to figure out who that one black chick in the beginning of the first Grindhouse trailer. Its Miss Dent from VM, Sydney Poitier's daughter! Weird!

I continue to be me amused that Dresden's wand is a frickin' drumstick and his staff is a hockeystick.

Anyways, just watching The Hills Have Eyes remake uncut right now. I've remarked my distaste for long distance cross country roadtrips through the boonies because of movies like this. I mean, who knows what kinda freaks are out there in the middle of nowhere! Horror movie survival rule #61: If travelling through said backwoods, and you pass by a gas station or house surrounded by dozens of abandoned cars, turn the frak around and find another route to your destination! Obviously, those are the cars of previously murdered travelers! Oh, and they also missed rule #6: When you're being chased by whatever, and you hop into your car to get away, check the frakkin' back seat first before you get in!

So I haven't seen the remake of the Hills Have Eyes, but I guess the second one's coming out soon. What's with the soldiers though, is this like Aliens to the first one's Alien? In any case, Big D was telling me how squicked he was about the first one. So they're basically Reavers? Sounds like it, given they're cannibalistic freaks who rape, murder, and eat their victims, not neccesarily in that order.

See, that's why I don't find the idea of vay-caying out in the wild all that appealing! Its full of crazy, inbred murder-rapist cannibal families or evil witches or unkillable garden tool wielding flesh golems or ancient, dark creatures unknown to man. Or even molten rock men! ("We don't get too many molten rock men around here." "At these prices, I'm not surprised!") Plus there's all the dirt and bugs out there! Ick!

And what self respecting wizard doesn't have magical wards protecting his home and/or place of business so enemies don't keep waltzing in all the time?! But evil lesbian witches?! HOTT! Also HOTT, chyx wearing just a man's dress shirt. Why is that? Speaking of: I say, do you know what's very, very funny? A man dressed in women's clothing. carruthersv('ah yes, quite.')

Cool, when getting some peanut butter cups out of the vending machine, I got a free three musketeers bar. Mines isn't floating up in the air on its own though. cliffV('What's up with that?!')

Owel,

Frak, my nerves are acting up for no apparent reason again. Owel, hopefully I'll get over it.

Anyhoo, its a new month, which means new movies on GTCN. Which is useful, as I get to see movies without having to wait for them to come out on HBO. Saw Scoop and Lady in the Water over the weekend. Lady in the Water was okay, but not nearly as bad as people said it was. Scoop was pretty interesting, though I can't help but thinking Woody Allen was leering at Scarlett Johansson during the filming. Oh, and the plot point that gets the story rolling is definitely different for a murder mystery.
