They called me the Leather Apron
Feb. 5th, 2007 06:32 amFrak, my nerves are acting up for no apparent reason again. Owel, hopefully I'll get over it.
Anyhoo, its a new month, which means new movies on GTCN. Which is useful, as I get to see movies without having to wait for them to come out on HBO. Saw Scoop and Lady in the Water over the weekend. Lady in the Water was okay, but not nearly as bad as people said it was. Scoop was pretty interesting, though I can't help but thinking Woody Allen was leering at Scarlett Johansson during the filming. Oh, and the plot point that gets the story rolling is definitely different for a murder mystery.
Not much to say about Rome. Well, I was amused when Pullo bumped into Octavian and he's all "Don't you recognize me?" Of course Pullo didn't, because you're being played by a new actor! I guess they wanted someone slightly older and that would command more respect? As for his "war council", Agrippa is amusingly corny and awkward when it comes to Octavia. And what's up with this Mycaneas character? Guys shouldn't be saying this like, "I told you I don't like them so close, as they give me such a fright?" Is he Octavian's "advisor"?
Anyways, Pullo and Vorenus find the kids. Vorenus was considering killing little Lucius, since its not actually his kid, but upon seeing him, relents and actually hugs him. Of course, you knew the slave master wasn't long for this world when Vorenus found out Vorena the elder was turned into a sex slave. I'm surprised he stopped there and he and Pullo didn't massacre the entire camp, as they are wont to do whenever they get angry.

Date: 2007-02-06 01:43 am (UTC)It was Saturday, but cold and sort of rainy. Lines for rides were really short. So Busch Gardens can be pretty decent :) even on the weekend.
If you feel like going, let us know when you'll be there...we now have passes valid through the end of the year, and would love to go back with friends. You'd be welcome to stay here on the way down, too. We're about 2 hours away, and we're contemplating day trips.
