So, got back to the ATL on Sat after a pretty uneventful flight. Well, it was delayed from taking off a bit because the plane had to get de-iced since it started snowing in NYC that afternoon.

Anyways, since my church is doing renovations, they've changed the mass schedule around, pushing forward the 930 mass to 9am. Which is kinda throwing off the rest of my schedule, because they actually have to keep it under an hour since they had to expand the number of masses because they're having to utilize a smaller space while the main sanctuary is being worked on. So it does end by 10am, which is kinda early, because then I'm done with my grocery shopping for the week around 1030, which is a little before some places are open for lunch. I suppose I could go to the 1030 mass, but I think that's going to be way more crowded.

Hit Macy's today to use the gift card I got for Christmas. I picked up a Sonic Care toothbrush and an electric razor. It was supposed to be enough to use up my gift card and break into some of the Christmas money I got, but both items were apparently on sale, and ended up being $60 less than I was expecting. So I ended up with $11 left over, which I'll have to use at some point.

TV commentary:

The Librarians- Pretty hilarious episode. Interesting though. spoiler cut )

Lost Girl- What's with all the Degrassi casting all of a sudden? First Luke, now Marisol? spoiler cut )

Galavant- Totally forgot this started last night. I was a little skeptical of the show at first, even though you would think its my kinda thing, medieval fantasy/comedy musical? But I wasn't sold on the few seconds of music I had heard in the commercials. But, having watched the show, the songs sound better in their entirety.

I liked it, the songs are catchy and clever, and its pretty funny. I like Madalena (and, ooh, she's Aussie, so she's not faking the accent), not that Isabella isn't cute either. Which speaking of, apparently she was the girl who was kidnapped along with Alexis on Castle? She looks totally different!

But yeah, Lassie from Psych is the villain, Vinnie Jones is his top thug (heh, its amusing to see him in a musical comedy), and Galavant's squire is Magnitude from Community. Which, how did I not know Magnitude was British?! Or played Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter movies?!

It also surprised me. spoiler cut )

So, I was talking on chat about this article about a letter to the editor of the Marvel Star Wars comic all, "not enough Luke/Leia" romance. Anyways, that made me think of the "So that's how it is in their family" line from Ferris Bueller, which led me to this scene from the TV show:

I mean, until the big reveal, wouldn't people start freaking out and being all, "What the eff? Ferris is making out with his sister!"

TV commentary:

Major Crimes- Heh, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire noticed this on Rusty's instagram, a playbill from The Elephant Man from 2 weeks ago. So I guess I probably did see him. Still, I would've felt weird going up to him and being all, "Aren't you Rusty from Major Crimes?" Because like if he said yes, what would I do? Be all, "That's cool. Okay, seeya!"? Like would he be insulted if I didn't want his autograph or something? Heh, I was considering shouting "Rusty!" from across the room and like duck behind someone and seeing if he reacted, but that would be a little gaudy.

Not much to say about the actual ep, it was an interesting case, with a lasting outcome. spoiler cut )

NCIS:LA- Who refers to the CDC being in "Druid Hills, Georgia" instead of Atlanta?! But heh, this ep was a bloodbath! As I've said before, its kinda amusing how many baddies the gang slays every week! Most other shows like this, there's incident reports and shootings like this are a big deal. But they just mow through the bad guys like wheat! spoiler cut )
