I'm annoyed that I haven't gotten my copy of GBA #7 yet. I was surprised they actually had it in stock, since its an older flick and I'm guessing they're up to the 20s if not 30s or even 40s (I have 18 and 20 and those are a couple of years old).

TV commentary:

Smallville- Why do they keep treating Metropolis like its friggin Gotham City? Cop guy's speech about how dangerous it is to be a cop would be more appropriate for Gotham City than Metropolis. Oh weird, I thought that doctor looked like Gaeta, and that's because it was Gaeta. Though it was weird he was just a background character and didn't even really interact with the cast. But if he's supposedly in Green Arrow's employ, I guess he might show up again.

And people were all, where did Lana get all them kung-fu skills during that nice and long catfight between her and Tess, but she's been able to kick ass for a while, whether it be some residual stuff from when she was possessed by that French witch or when Lex taught her how to fight when she was attacked by those frat boys way back in the early seasons. While it was a good catfight, it still loses to that Chloe/Lana one since it didn't end in the girl's locker room shower. Oh, and that was the ep with Missy Peregrym too!

And how is a powerless Martian Manhunter a super cop? I'm amused how Clark and Oliver will be all, "Thanks for getting me/us out of that mess with the cops by using your contacts", and just handwaving their troubles away. Those must be some pretty damn good contacts, because I can't see how one can easily fix some of the messes they get into with no consequences.

The Office- The whole Hilary Swank hotness debate was kinda weird. I mean, they didn't say anything mean, but I would think for her it would be weird to have a bunch of characters on a popular sitcom spend half an hour debating whether she was hot or not. As for me, it varies from day to day. Sometimes I think she is, sometimes I don't. spoiler cut )

Burn Notice- Is it me, or is Gabrielle Anwar totally ripped?! I mean, they've had her in skimpy outfits before, and I swear she's been in a bikini top before, but has she always had a defined six pack on this show?! Spoiler cut )

I'm trying to decide if chyx in a bacon bikini is awesome or not. On the one hand, it combines two of my favorite things, scantily clad hotties, and bacon. Though it is more akin to the whole sushi off nekkid chyx rather than bikinis made of foodstuffs. I mean, they're covered with bacon shaped like a bikini, but its not like they can jump and dance around like they could with a whipped cream bikini (though they do melt fast). So that kinda takes some of the fun out of it. Even if its tasty bacon.

Speaking of bacon, do dogs prefer Beggin' Strips or Snausages?

Alas, the new Psych/Miami Vice commercial (I assume that's what they're going for) is nowhere near as cool and amusing as the Monk/Magnum PI one.

I have a theory on the Cylons and Starbuck. under a cut )

Saw some previews of the Lost and the Damned content for GTA IV (kinda sucks that its only for the 360), and there's some pretty cool stuff in there. Supposedly there's new music on the soundtrack, I'm curious what they added. But anyways, since your character in this one is a biker, they've improved the bike physics/controls so its harder to get knocked off and the bikes are easier to control. Plus, cool new weapons- the grenade launcher packs a big explosive punch, but is not as cumbersome as the rocket launcher, not to mention easier to aim than grenades and thus easier to arc your shots over cover. There's an automatic shotgun, which is obviously lethal as hell, given its a friggin' automatic shotgun. Then, there's the sawed off shotgun. At first, I was wondering, what would it have that the other shotguns don't? Looks like it can be used while in a vehicle. Which is pretty potent, given how destructive the shotgun is. A few well aimed shots and you'll be taking out enemy vehicles left and right! Supposedly the new story is pretty rich and worth the $20 cost.

I hear there will be more DLC chapters coming for the game, and I think that's a pretty good marketing strategy. Instead of having users wait years for the next game, satiate them and keep them playing the old one by continually adding missions and new content. I mean, its a rich world and game engine, so instead of starting from scratch and coming up with something new, why not just build on it with new stuff?

Say what you will about how much they charge for the DLC songs on Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but it is a cool feature. I have all the karaoke revolutions, and truthfully, there's little change in the system between games. It makes more sense to pay for new songs piecemeal rather than pay the price for a whole new game for several songs you may or may not like.
