I'm annoyed that I haven't gotten my copy of GBA #7 yet. I was surprised they actually had it in stock, since its an older flick and I'm guessing they're up to the 20s if not 30s or even 40s (I have 18 and 20 and those are a couple of years old).

TV commentary:

Smallville- Why do they keep treating Metropolis like its friggin Gotham City? Cop guy's speech about how dangerous it is to be a cop would be more appropriate for Gotham City than Metropolis. Oh weird, I thought that doctor looked like Gaeta, and that's because it was Gaeta. Though it was weird he was just a background character and didn't even really interact with the cast. But if he's supposedly in Green Arrow's employ, I guess he might show up again.

And people were all, where did Lana get all them kung-fu skills during that nice and long catfight between her and Tess, but she's been able to kick ass for a while, whether it be some residual stuff from when she was possessed by that French witch or when Lex taught her how to fight when she was attacked by those frat boys way back in the early seasons. While it was a good catfight, it still loses to that Chloe/Lana one since it didn't end in the girl's locker room shower. Oh, and that was the ep with Missy Peregrym too!

And how is a powerless Martian Manhunter a super cop? I'm amused how Clark and Oliver will be all, "Thanks for getting me/us out of that mess with the cops by using your contacts", and just handwaving their troubles away. Those must be some pretty damn good contacts, because I can't see how one can easily fix some of the messes they get into with no consequences.

The Office- The whole Hilary Swank hotness debate was kinda weird. I mean, they didn't say anything mean, but I would think for her it would be weird to have a bunch of characters on a popular sitcom spend half an hour debating whether she was hot or not. As for me, it varies from day to day. Sometimes I think she is, sometimes I don't.

The A-plot was actually kinda sad. I mean, when I heard Michael and Dwight were going to spy on that Princes Paper company, I thought it was gonna be like that Utica ep and that they'd end up playing the fools and accomplishing nothing. But they weren't as incompetent as they usually were (or maybe that was just the family's naivete), and actually got a whole lot of useful information. I really thought in the end that Michael would destroy the list and apologize to Wallace that he couldn't get anything. But he ended up giving them everything! I guess he at least felt really really bad about it.

Oh, but getting back to that debate, how are they the most successful division?! I shudder to think what's going on in the other offices that Scranton is actually tops!

Just like the Office, Earl's ending also surprised me. I thought after they got Joy on Estrada or Nada, some deus ex machina would happen and Joy and Crabman wouldn't have to go back into Witness Protection, but no, I guess they're still doing that.

Interesting, I thought the whole thing with Frank and Jenna hooking up and him telling her not to tell anyone was some sort of reverse psychology thing to get her to admit it because they'd think he was lying if he said it. But I guess not!

Burn Notice- Is it me, or is Gabrielle Anwar totally ripped?! I mean, they've had her in skimpy outfits before, and I swear she's been in a bikini top before, but has she always had a defined six pack on this show?! You know, on Burn Notice, I guess it does make sense that it was some new player, and not Carla and her people who blew Michael up. I did think that was weird that just because Michael threw a monkey wrench in their plans that they would scrap everything and kill him and the sniper. At the very least, I thought they'd wait until after ths sniper did his job before killing him. Someone else blowing the sniper up and trying to blow Michael up makes more sense.

Though what the hell, he was out for 20 minutes, and no cops ever showed up?! It was a big explosion! You mean no one did anything that whole time?! I'm skeptical! And while Michael is good, I did think it was a little silly that she thought this was Michael playing some game at first. But I guess you can also chalk that up to her being totally freaked because there is someone out there they don't know about and able to mess with them.

Oh, and what was with Michael wanting to track the blower-upper himself, because "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Yeah, they're messing with Carla. But they also did try to blow him up, so can he really trust they'll be on his side just because they also don't like Carla?
