TV commentary:

Some interesting revelations on tonight's BSG. For one thing, Nicky's not half cylon, because apparently Cally was frakkin' around with someone other than the Chief! Turns out her baby's daddy is Hot Dog. So Chief beats him up a bit and gives him the kid's kidney-failing ass. Well, I guess they'll share custody? Or is Chief gonna wean himself off this non-cylon, not-his kid until Hot Dog is ready?

Oh, and Rosalin stops taking her meds and fraks Adama! Baltar, meanwhile, has become anti-the-one-god apparently, and enflames his followers into questioning god. He's all they didn't do anything to deserve this current lot, so they shouldn't blame themselves, they should blame god. Or at least that's how I interpreted it.

Anyways, Chief is somehow the spokesman for the cylons now? They want to upgrade the fleet's jump drives to better Cylon drives, in exchange for full-citizenship, i.e., the guarantee if Cavil does find the fleet and attack, they'll do as much to protect the cylons as they would the rest of the fleet. But Zarek is not keen on a human-cylon alliance, and paints Adama and Rosalin as power hungry tyrants who kept everyone under their thumb with the lie of Earth and now by turning to the cylons for help. Apollo is basically shunned at the quorum as they vote to let the captains able to refuse entry to any cylon on their ship.

Adama argues that the drives are a military matter, and after a couple of marines and a cylon are killed, and the tylium ship mutinies and jumps away, Adama has Zarek arrested. Heh, he bluffs Zarek, knowing Zarek is fine with being martyred, but wouldn't be fine with having all his corruption exposed. So Zarek gives up the ship, and it turns out Adama didn't actually have any evidence to extort Zarek with. So Bill thinks all is right and goes back to frakking Rosalin.

Or so he thinks. Gaeta is getting more and more angry with the Cylons- getting held up in sick bay because Cottle is busy congratulating Tigh and Caprica on the bun in her toaster oven (ha!), and then getting bumped again for Tyrol and his not-actually-a-half-cylon (though we the audience and Tyrol didn't know that at the time, but apparently Cottle and his staff did!) not-son. So, he picks a fight with Starbuck to get her out of the mess hall so he can have mutinous meetings, and in the end makes a deal with Zarek to take over once Felix and the "people he has" overthrow Adama and his toaster-loving administration.

What the frak is up Gaeta's ass anyways? (Well, besides Hoshi's cock, apparently!) Yeah, the cylons killed billions, and he was ironically almost put to death as a cylon collaborator by a couple of toasters and a toaster-frakker, and then a toaster puts a bullet in his leg and another toaster-frakker delays them jumping back to the fleet so they end up having to amputate, but can't he get over it? Yeah, everything friggin' sucks, but that's a lot of hate to carry around. The fleet needs to get help where it can! What does holding onto vengeance get them, besides a never-ending cycle of hatred and death?

Oh, and I would think in that universe, "toaster" is like a racial epithet? So I'm kinda offended that Gay-ta is throwing the word around so freely in sick bay. I mean, isn't it like getting mad that a bunch of "chinks" or "heebs" were getting preferential treatment and like saying those words aloud?! The sniveling gimpy terrorist-collaborating bigot!!

Hmm, if Gaeta does lead a mutiny, I wonder where Baltar and his people would fall. I assume even though it seems like he's mad at the cylon one god, he's still pro-cylon. And they're a bunch of fanatical lunatics! I would think if something did happen, between the tyrannical Adama-Rosalin loyalists, the cylons, and Baltar's zealots, they should easily crush Zarek and Forrest Gimp's nascent rebellion.

Oh, and I forgot, the way Ishay was listening to the Cottle/Caprica/Saul conversation all happy and joyful about the new toaster-baby, was anyone else worried she was thinking in her head how she could kill it? (And what's with the nepotism? She's played by Jamie Bamber's real life wife, just like Hot Dog is EJO's son IRL)

On FNL, everyone is pissed at Tami for not getting the Jumbotron. In all fairness, it does suck that the football program gets all this money while the school is falling apart. But they take that stuff seriously in Dillon, she can't just take all the money! So after not bowing down to veiled threats from the mayor, they go directly to the superintendent and get the funds frozen until they can have a meeting about it.

After one of Tyra's political posters gets defaced (who would do that? I would think they'd fear getting the crap kicked out of them by her Amazonian ass), she decides to go with her strengths and sluts it up, even getting the girls from the Landing Strip to help. Her outfit for the debate? spcv('Nice!!') She ends up winning (I kinda feel bad for the other girl, she worked all those weeks, and all of a sudden she's usurped at the last minute by a slutty Amazonian goddess), but loses Tami's respect, and she practically cries at Tami's disappointment in her.

Smash gets his groove back after practicing with the Panthers, since being part of a team is what motivated him, and the lack of that camaraderie was why he wasn't doing so well. And it pays off, as he Texas A&M invites him for a walk-on.

Buddy doesn't want Lyla dating poor white trash like Tim Riggins (hey, he's not exactly a friggin' Rockerfeller himself, why does he think he's so great?), so at a fancy dinner with the Mccoy's (interestingly enough, they actually quiz him on what his future plans were, rather than the state of the Panthers. Maybe they're not total a-holes who only care about football after all?) Buddy threatens Tim to not frak this up for him. So, Tim gets all nervous and stumbles and doesn't answer the Mccoy's question, and ends up order a Squab. Rare. (Okay, that was pretty embarassing!) Him and Lyla have a fight about it, because she reads it as him not trying and being a lazy ass as usual, not knowing it was her father who inadvertently caused the whole mess.

Heh, when Tim gets home, Tyra's there, waiting for Billy and Mindy to finish effin', and Tim, uncomfortable in the monkey suit, drops his pants in the middle of the kitchen, and sits on the couch in his undies with Tyra. Lyla, of course, shows up with a burger, but surprisingly doesn't think the worst immediately and run out of there before he has a chance to explain himself. So I guess they're good in the end.

Matt's grams isn't taking her meds, because she's insane, and he can't force them on her, because she's the guardian, and he's a minor. So after annoying a lawyer (seriously, could Matt have been more negative, its like why did you go see the lawyer if you didn't want to do any of his suggestions?!), he goes to see his mudder and gets her to sign emancipation papers so he can be in charge of Grandma Saracen's crazy ass. And he and Julie (who's now working at Appleby's) bond, perhaps setting the stage for them to get back together?

Oh, and mebbe I'm just being a wet blanket, but I was a little offended/scandalized by her joke where she was all, "Oh, so now's a bad time to tell you your grandma is yelling at the staff?!" His grandma has friggin' DEMENTIA! Isn't that joke kinda ccv('Inappropriate!')?!
