Feb. 9th, 2010 08:25 amOkay, I suppose I do have a lot of pent up aggression that manifests itself on the road and in other strange ways. And I think part of the reason I'm always in a rush is the vain hope that where I'm headed will have something interesting and cool to break the monotony of life. And when did I become so jaded? I guess that's a normal consequence of getting older.
And getting only three and a half hours of sleep sucks. And is it idiot day on the road today? And what's with the gall of people breaking parking gates less than five minutes than parking fixing it!?
TV commentary:
House- A day in the Life of Cuddy. Is it me, or is she a pretty hot Jew? And hot for an older woman? (Although I know what you people are thinking, "older" by my definition, is that like above 22?) And even though 13 got little screen time this ep, she looked pretty hot as well. Not that she doesn't normally look hot. But I like what they did with her hair, it didn't look like she had a five head. Anyways, is it me, or was the ep a little schmaltzy? I mean, just when it looks like everything has gone to shit for Cuddy, it all works out in the end. She gets the evidence against the psycho drug stealing lady, she got the deal she wanted from the insurance company, she convinced the one guy to drop his frivolous lawsuit. But there's nothing wrong with a really bad day turning good, we could all use that once in a while. Though a good day from the outset would be preferable.
Chuck- You know, since its been a while since KK has been on Smallville, I forgot how mad cute she looks. Particularly in the Nerd Herder outfit. So in the end, Shaw's with Sarah and Chuck's with Hannah, and they're both fine with it and happy for each other (Sarah and Chuck are, that is) And Shaw tells Chuck that eventually they won't be watching him anymore, because the intersect is supposed to make him self sufficient, and he'll be Mr. Super-Spy who doesn't need them.
Wait, so Ellie and Morgan think Chuck's secret is that he was secretly seeing Hannah? Which kinda sucks for Morgan since he likes her, but who wouldn't?! But its a slightly lame way to satiate their curiosity over Chuck's behavior as of late. For one, Chuck was already acting weird before she came along. Although I guess they didn't know Chuck went to Paris until Hannah started working there. But they had to have known Chuck got her the job. Like surely he would have told Morgan, hey, I just met this girl who knows computers, and she's hot! So do they think he was secretly dating her after he met her on his install in Paris, and then got her the job at the Buy More.
But that still doesn't answer the questions they had! Why Chuck has all these mysterious installs Morgan doesn't know about when he's his supervisor, or why Captain Awesome has been really weird and jittery as of late!
Life Unexpected- You know, I can see why Lux can get mad at Cate sometimes for "ruining her life" because she is Miss get things done before actually consulting with her daughter. But as Cate said, 1) how was she to know some random tween bitch was gonna get a hold of those files and embarrass her at school, and 2) maybe she wouldn't be called a liar by her classmates, if she didn't, you know, lie! Hey, she doesn't have the fancy life she claimed she has, but its not like her real life is that bad. I mean, yeah, the whole foster thing sucked, but that was the past. I'm sure her classmates would think Baze is cool, and Cate is a famous radio DJ with a popular morning talk show. That should count for something!
And heh, in the beginning Cate was all, "Wow, Lux's letter describes me perfectly!" while Baze was upset that he wasn't close to what Lux wished for in a dad, but Lux actually gets along better with her dad than her mom. And is it me, or should people think Math hanging around Lux at school seems totally inappropriate?! Like them sitting on the bench together at the end? Like that one catty bitch wouldn't start spreading rumors that Lux is some kinda slut bedding one of her teachers?
Make It or Break It- Heh, amusing to see that Counselor Troi is still getting work. Even though this miracle surgery thing is kinda lame. Ugh, that Ike guy showing back up was also kinda lame. I think they should've kept it with Peyson dressing his stoner ass down and calling him on his BS. The whole, "Oh, I bought a tux and am now participating in school events is because you're so great!" is so prosaic and lame. Not prosaic? Damon attempting to win Emily back with song, like he was going to finally sing in public, but he ends up choking on stage and running away. HA!! But Razor tells Emily she should give his friend points for effort. She does have a point though, he keeps pulling back from her because he doesn't feel perfect enough for her, when she doesn't want perfect. The fact that he tried is good enough!
Okay, Lauren thinking her dad was seeing Emily at first was kinda hilarious. And Carter being all, "Oh, it couldn't have been Emily, because she was at the slumber party with you the time I had to hide in the closet when your father and his secret girlfriend were making out" instead of the fact that he knows Emily and she and her mother sound nothing alike. But its kinda funny that she would think her father would go there. Like it shouldn't have taken her that long to come to the proper conclusion that their parents are secretly seeing each other.
Wait, does Emily realize that? Or was she too busy with the whole Damon/Razor triangle to process Lauren's comments?
