Owel, back in the ATL. As usual, got to the airport too early on Sunday. Well, not as early as I usually am, but there was surprisingly little traffic getting there and I breezed through security. But at least I was only in the terminal 45 minutes before boarding than my usual hour or more. Well, 45 minutes from when it should've boarded. Because of the weather, the flight was delayed an hour. But took the Marta to 10th street so I wouldn't subject peeps to airport traffic, and the roomie picked me up and we and the usual suspects had dinner at the vortex. I didn't realize the double bypass (its like the coronary bypass, but double) had grilled cheese samiches for buns. I'd like to try it one day, but two eggs is a little too much for a burger.

I was supposed to be back at work today, but apparently my battery discharged over the break. But the AAA guy mentioned its prolly because the positive terminal was kinda loose, so the battery hasn't been charging properly. And the cold weather exacerbated the issue. So with the battery being low and the loose terminal, the car wouldn't start. But then the AAA guy clamped jumper cables on to the terminals, and without even hooking them up, the clamps seemed to press down on the terminal enough to get the car started.

But I got the cables replaced (the terminal was tightened as far as it could go, but it was still visibly not as snug as it should've been). But ha, I was getting a quote, and the guy said three-ninety-nine each. Now, car parts do seem ridiculously expensive to me, so of course, I thought he meant $399. And I was thinking to myself $800 for the parts, plus labor, that's more than the car is friggin worth!! But then he showed me the cost, and he meant $3.99. Hey, in my defense, some car parts do cost a ridiculous amount! But I got the cables replaced, and the car should hopefully be fine for tomorrow.

Oh, saw Lost Boys 2 on TNT after I got back from dinner. Ugh, what a dud. Autumn Reeser was the only good part of that movie. And not just because she's hot. Everyone else in that movie was atrocious! Like Corey Feldman was just terrible! As was the head vamp and the brother!

TV commentary:

This past ep of Dexter was really good. The game between Miguel and Dexter trying to get the upper hand was brilliant. And I love how every little thing this season tied into that. Well, that and how Rita unintentionally caused an escalation, mentioning Dexter's "suspicions" that he and Maria were having an affair, so Syl got all paranoid, so when Miguel went over to La Guerta's house to see the progress being made on Ellen Wolf's case, and trying to get Maria on his side, Syl thought she found proof that he was cheating. Though he did kiss Maria, though I suspect only to manipulate her. But it seems like he made a misstep, because Maria is prolly now suspicious that he killed Ellen, if she doesn't outright know.

But yeah, everything tying in- like Deb's relationship with Anton, and Miguel trying to use that as leverage against Dex by threatening Deb's career. Even Angel's relationship with Gianna, after she gets beat up, Dex's recent experiences with Miguel make him tell Batista to be careful how he handles the guy, because killing him instead of arresting him is a "door he can't close".

Of course, Dex learns he didn't create a monster, but as the audience suspected, Miguel was already a monster. I guess he didn't know what Dexter was, but Miguel seems to be very good at capitalizing on things like that. He quickly realized how useful Dex could be. And now we learn he purposely made sure the Skinner was released last ep, so he could send him after Dex this ep! And yikes, he was able to get the jump on Dex and grab him! I wonder how that's gonna turn out?

OOh, I'm so mad at this ep of Heroes. Like, the whole eclipse thing seemed kinda pointless. Oh, they lost their powers for a few hours during the eclipse. Talk about inconsequential. But that's not what makes me mad. They killed friggin' Elle!! NO! But she's mad cute! And has one of those broken personalities I so go for! I had a sneaking suspicion she was going to bite it. I might've swallowed it if Bennet took her out. But Sylar killing her? Doesn't make sense. Its always been the hunger that drove to kill! But he had her power already, why cut her open like that!? And is Bennet telling the truth about Sylar not being a Petrelli? As ridiculous a development as it was, given his, Arthur, and Peter's power set, it actually made sense. And what, Arthur and Angela separately decided to start playing the parent card to try and manipulate him?! I call BS!

On Gossip Girl, I didn't think it was possible, but Lexi is even more of an annoying a-hole than Vanessa! Speaking of V, she comes clean about the letter, and after little J and the UES girls play the "Emperor's Clothes" prank on her (wait, was she going commando?!), she wins Nate. But wait, Nate acts like he's all shocked at how Jenny was acting, and how she was so not who he thought she was, but did he not remember last year. He should know she's capable of such things!

And Chuck and Blair make a bet that they can find the perfect date for the other. And Blair bets Dorota! ha, its hilarious how frightened Dorota was at possibly having to work for Chuck. But they pick less attractive dopplegangers for the other, who of course hook up with each other when Blair and Chuck run off to discuss the fact that they just picked clones of themselves for the other.

Lily gets ready to leave Bart after he says he got rid of his private eye and then she finds out he's still in contact with him. But Chuck sees her get all chummy with Rufus, who said he only let her go at the wedding out of fear that he couldn't give her what she wanted/needed, and tells Bart to get there quick before Rufus steals her away. And then Bart gets into an accident and dies! Wow, so has Chuck now caused the death of both his parents?

So on Privileged, we start off where last ep ends, and Megan ends up grabbing the cheating purse from Rose and grounds her. But it turns out Rose didn't need it, as she passed all her classes, and she comes clean to Megan that she just did it because she felt pressured and didn't think she was good enough to do it on her own when she was.

Laurel rekindles things with her old flame/Rose and Sage's true gramps (who is Summer Roberts and Ziva David's dad), but he's just looking to settle down, and her life is just too fast paced for him, so it doesn't work out.

Hmm, Sage says there are things she doesn't even tell Rose. Like what? Like developing a Crush on Charlie's friend who's doing some kitchen interning?

Oh, and Mandy is an effin liar! Saying Megan's crazy and only crazy Megan does those crazy Megan things? Bull, what she did totally was a test, all chicks do it! As for Megan, doesn't she understand that while sometimes guys can be sketchy, they aren't always, and sometimes they're just stupid and/or oblivious?! Like she tells off Will, all, he's not ready, but how will he learn if she doesn't give him a chance? If he makes a supposed mistake, give him a chance to redeem himself, don't dump him!

Speaking of, I can conceive him sneaking in the pastramis and the nut guy, but how did he manage to get that frickin' huge ass tree there without Megan noticing?!

That was a very strange yet interesting ep of Sarah Connor Chronicles. The B-plot was confusing. So Riley invites John to a house party where she gets him all jealous, causes him to kick some guy's ass, and then they "park" until the early morning? To what end?

But apparently Cameron has been hanging out with a cripple cancer boy for a while, so she can use the library at night and do research? That story was intriguing though. So a terminator goes back in time too early, and kills the man who builds a building that needs to be built so the terminator can assassinate the California governor in 2010, so he basically has to build a business and destroy his competitor, the father of the guy who was accidentally killed, because he was going to turn the lot into a memorial for his dead son. So the terminator had to financially ruin the guy so he could get that land and build that building?

And wait, some strange gives you free donuts, and you let them into the library late at night when no guests are allowed? I can understand cancer boy doing it, because Cameron is a hot chick who wears tight clothing, but why was his replacement so willing to do so?

Not much to say about this week's Chuck. So, Dixon was Casey's sensei, and the Awesomes are Morgan Fairchild and Bruce Boxleitner (last year, I thought I bought Luke Skywalker, but it ended up being Bruce Boxleitner!)? I was amused by the fact that Dixon said Casey always lost because he couldn't find his calm, focused, center, but Chuck realized Casey has no such thing, and just pissed Casey off enough so that Casey went into a berserker rage and beat the crap out of Dixon.

but why was his replacement so willing to do so?

Lesbian, obviously. I find it retarded that he apparently arrived correctly on New Year's Eve but the wrong year. And that he didn't go after great grandpa Connor.
