So, the People's Choice Awards were apparently last night? I haven't gotten to the point where I'm like Brian from this past week's Family Guy, having never heard of half the people there (like Lombard Montague or Grace Mclady or Tank Top Gay Face) but its starting to get there. Anyways, you can find the list of winners here.

Heh, its amusing to see Lea Michele and Nina Dobrev take home wins for best comedy actress and best drama actress (from my #1 and #2 favorite shows currently, respectively). I mean, I like them, I'm just surprised "the people" selected them as the winners. And hey, I love Glee and all, but two nominees each in the best comedic actor and actress categories? But Doogie was a good choice to win, I think, given his competition were Finn and Kurt, Sheldon Cooper, and Jack Donaghy.

Heh, same for PLL winning best cable drama over Dexter, Game of Thrones, True Blood, and White Collar. Again, I watch all 5, I'm just surprised that if you had people vote, that was the one that would win.

Demi Lovato picked up the best pop artist award? Which is surprising, given her competition, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna have way more hits than her. Like what other song does Demi have out besides "Skyscraper"? Interesting that the pop artist category were all chyx, while the band category were all dudes (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Maroon 5, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and Linkin Park)

And what's up with the "Favorite Movie Star under 25" category. So its Chloe Moretz (who won), and the rest of the category are from Harry Potter, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco. Not knocking them or anything, but surely there could've been more nominees not from Harry Potter.

Also amusing, the "favorite superhero movie hero" category was won by Ryan Reynolds for Green Lantern, given of the nominees, Green Lantern was considered below Captain America, Thor, and X-Men First Class. Who's voting on these things?! It can't be comic book geeks, is it teenage girls who have a crush on Ryan Reynolds?! Actually, it must be teenage girls, if Supernatural won for favorite TV drama. AND the favorite sci-fi/fantasy show over Fringe, Walking Dead, True Blood, and Vampire Diaries! WTF?!

And it is insane that Man Up! and Allen Gregory were nominated in the favorite new TV comedy given they've both been canceled for sucking. Or were all the new shows nominated?

TV commentary:

Special Victims Unit- Why are all these shows doing episodes about that one play in NY? Anyhoo, could that ep be any more obvious?! spoiler cut )

TV commentary:

Vampire Diaries- Frickin' frick this show is going to give me a heart attack. I'm kinda curious if one of the reasons I think this show is great (besides all the hot chyx) is because I can't predict what is going to happen. I mean, some things are still predictable, but its like with Lost, BSG, or Fringe, where I can't trust that a principle (or long standing secondary) character won't shockingly die all of a sudden. I shouldn't enjoy that these show cause me so much stress.

Also, nice boobies, Caroline! But seriously, its not like she was turned as a kid. There's not a big diff between 17 and 18, physically. So yeah, she was turned at 17, but she's still developing mentally, so she's virtually 18. Its not like she's stuck. And hey, some would say eternally being a hot young woman is a good thing! But really, what was with the other part of her storyline?

Secret Circle- Dayam, nice bathrobe, Diana! Could it be any friggin shorter? But heh, its kinda funny that she and Melissa were talking about how they used to be friends, and how they grew apart. Diana started going with Adam, but heh, for Melissa, it was Faye. They do like teasing the lesbianic vibe between those two. Its like, in this ep, is Melissa feeling all jealous and alone because she's still hurting over what's his face, or because Faye was with voodoo guy? And heh, defending Faye there at the end, even though she almost got her killed?

Cool, it looks like info was released on that Spec Ops team in RE: Operation Raccoon City. Heh, looks like I was right about biker looking guy being Harley (not that it wasn't obvious). But it looks like Shona is actually a guy, while Tweed is a girl. And I guess just like the USS team is called "Wolfpack", they have their own designation, "Echo Six". But here they are: cut for your benefit )

TV commentary:

The Finder- Wait, that Sarah Shahi looking chick who replaced Saffron Burrows, she was one of the Cat Squad chicks from Chuck (the one who was not Sarah, Carina, or the hot racist babysitter on Scrubs)?! She looks different with black hair.
