Better Call Saul- Some interesting call backs here. But lets start with Mike's plot first. So that low rent Walter White Mike has been working for is a huge dumb-ass, and buys an incredibly conspicuous car. Mike tells the guy he's not gonna ride in the easily identifiable monstrosity, and Pryce is all, "Well, fine, I don't see why I pay you any way when all you do is just stand there, I'm throwing money away!"
Sadly, Pryce does not get jumped and killed at his next meet with Nacho, but Pryce is way too trusting, and lets Nacho see his car. Nacho wastes no time finding the guy's address from his registration and robbing his ass. He steals Pryce's money, and some priceless baseball cards to boot. The dumb-ass calls the cops to find his cards, and the cops are incredibly suspicious. Pryce has a fancy car, his place looks torn up as if people were looking for something specific, leaving the tv and computer. Pryce says they were prolly looking for more cards, but the cops aren't idiots. They notice an empty space in all the mess, and realize Pryce moved something back. So, the cops pull back the couch when Pryce is in the other room and find his empty hiding spot.
Obviously, they don't find anything since Nacho took everything, but the cops will prolly be watching Pryce now.
But onto the star of the show. Heh, in the flash forward, Saul gets stuck in the garbage area of the mall. He can get out by using the emergency exit, but that would alert the cops. So he has no choice but to wait for someone to let him out.
In the present (well, I guess past), Ed Begley Jr is running a firm working on the Sandpiper case. He offers Jimmy a job, but Jimmy ends up refusing. Kim is all, WTF?! He's all, he only became a lawyer to please Chuck, so what's the point. Heh, she rightfully brings up that if he quits, isn't he just doing what Chuck wants?
Anyways, Jimmy shows Kim his con skills, roping her into a con. That one obnoxious guy from the early season of Breaking Bad whose car Walter sets on fire is at the bar, talking shop. Jimmy, is all, "settle a bet, can I do X with this huge inheritance me and my sister just got?" So Ken Wins is intrigued and Jimmy dangles the hook just enough to make the guy think its his idea to have drinks and discuss how Jimmy and Kim (or rather, fake name Jimmy gave that I forgot, and Gisele) can invest their money. So, they get him to buy a lot of drinks, including a $50 shot of Tequila, which is another BB callback, as the fake brand is the same drink served to the cartel members when Gus poisons them all.
Kim is excited at the adventure, and she and Jimmy go back to her place and do it. The next day, he sees a new mark, and calls her about it at first, but then changes his mind and decides to go work for Ed Begley Jr. But heh, I guess to show Jimmy is still a rule breaker, he flicks the switch with the sign that says "Don't turn off" off. Nothing happens, or at least nothing the audience sees, before he turns it back on. So even though he's decided to go back to trying to go legit, he's still someone who's pushing boundaries.
