Alcatraz- So is this show being renewed, or is this where it ends? With Rebecca possibly dead, at her grandpa's hand, after re-creating the chase scene from Bullitt?
And I'm kinda amused that like Lost, the first season ended with the characters trying to get into a mysterious door? Although unlike Lost, we actually got to see behind the door before the season ends. So its a secret bunker where Lucy and Emerson find that one that guy, who in the past was in cahoots with the Warden and Rebecca's grandfather? So the time skip thing is possibly some secret military experiment that goes back to the Korean war?
MIOBI- Its weird, that when this show started, it seemed like Emily was the main character, horning in on the three established friends/front runner gymnasts. But then at the start of this ep, its back to just Kaylie, Lauren, and Payson and they're all, "other girls may come and go, but its always us three!" So is Emily just gone? I mean, its realistic, because she got preggers. And its one thing for Payson to come back from a devastating back injury, but no way is Emily coming back from a pregnancy!
Actually, did they revamp the whole cast? I mean, with the girls at camp, it looks like their parents won't being playing big role. And then since its the Olympic training camp and not the Rock, Sasha's not coaching them. I'm not a fan of the new coach. (nor the one wrestler guy, he seems like a smarmy prick) And they try to make you think he's having an affair with the nutritionist, but it turns out she's his wife.
And then there's the new girls Wendy and Jordan. Wendy's young and cute and peppy (though I get the impression underneath the positivity she's Lauren 2.0). Jordan on the other hand seems like Emily 2.0. She's poor and homeless, but insanely talented. Although unlike Emily, she's not an unknown, Kaylie used to be friends with her. But for some reason she's been out of competition for a couple of years. They don't say why, but it seems like she has the same sort of family/money problems as Emily.
Seriously, what is Lauren's problem? As I've said before, her character is so frustrating, because Kaylie and Payson are supposed to be her best friends, but she's such a horrible bitch to them! I mean, at least when TV shows do the frenemy thing, they usual have something spark the conflict. And while there have been things that have set Lauren off before, like one of the other girls getting some boy or ranking higher or whatever, sometimes she seems to do it on a whim. Like why steal Payson's letter?
Speaking of, Max breaks up with her via letter (because he's in the Hamptons getting Revenged!) so that's affecting Payson enough to knock her to the "lower half". Heh, Austin tries to make her feel better by telling Payson Max was bi. And mentioning that he also kissed Max when Payson and Kaylie mention having also kissed him.
Lauren's also having mysterious dizzy spells. I'm curious what that's about. Its weird, because at first Lauren thinks its her new perfume. But then the coach's wife thinks she skipped breakfast, so I thought Lauren just let her believe it because she didn't think she would swallow the perfume thing or think mentioning the perfume line at all would just cause trouble. But then when she was talking to her friends, she acted like she hadn't been eating. But they just did a eating disorder thing with Kaylie. So it can't be that. Is it a previously unknown medical condition?
