Over dinner, the roomie mentioned Teagan Presley will be at the Pony today and tomorrow (well, Tuesday and Wednesday). That might be interesting to check out, and she is one of my all time favorite actresses of that genre. I could prolly hit the place before work, but that would be kinda weird.

Okay, watching Frasier on Lifetime right now, and there's commercials for this hilarious Shannon Elizabeth Lifetime movie. Being a Lifetime movie, its about a chick with an obsessive husband coming after her. Only the twist is that he's a ghost! HA!

So what defines a geek? Saw this article on The 10 most badass geeks from film and TV. As an aside, I saw this article off Gorilla Mask, and while the icon is supposed to be of Dexter Morgan, I actually thought it was of Mclovin. Which in turn reminds me of two things I heard/saw today. One, my sources tell me that Dexter is dating Deb in real life? People who play siblings on TV dating in real life. cliffv('What's up with that?!') Emily Van Camp did it twice, once with Bright (Che to those who watched the OC and not Everwood) and then with one of her half-brothers on "Brothers and Sisters".

And two, there's that Give to the Mclovin' Fund off Funny or Die. Link goes to filmdrunk's link to it, as they mention the things about the clip that demonstrate that Kristen Bell is probably tiny. I mean, I know she's short but recently I've been seeing articles that point to her being just a smidge over being a midget. (I would also qualify another Kristen, Kristen Chenoweth, as right there on the border of midgets and normal people) Like here, where she's with her Forgetting Sarah Marshall costar, Mila Kunis. Now, Mila Kunis is short herself, but that pic she makes Kristen Bell look small comparatively! And speaking of short chicks having vids off Funny or Die, there was that Hayden Panettiere sexual harassment PSA, both it and the Mclovin' fun were only mildly amusing, not exactly funny. So does that mean they have to die?

But I digress, getting to the 10 baddest ass geeks thing, while I would agree some of those people have geeky interests, I wouldn't exactly refer to all of them as geeks. Hiro, Beast, Peter Parker, Gil Grisom, I can see. But while Clarence Worley from True Romance was all into comics and old kung fu movies, I didn't think he was that geeky. Then again, he did work at a comic book store and was so pathetic his boss hired a hooker for him. But I don't see Neo or Dexter Morgan as all that geeky. And then the comments to the article had some people arguing for the inclusion of the Mcmanus brothers from the Boondock Saints. See, I don't neccesarily equate being really smart with being geeky. The list included Anakin Skywalker just because he built C-3PO and was a genius at starcraft design. Now I would definitely call him a whiny little bitch, but not a geek!

And how can one not like shooting a gun? Its the most awesome thing evar. I mean, not even squeezing off a few rounds in a safe and controlled environment? Hippie pussies.

Oh, and a few comments I forgot to make on Monday's Samantha Who. I had a big crush on Christina Applegate back in the day, and then kinda cooled on her. But I think she's looking pretty cute again on Samatha Who, especially in the short, curly bob she sports as present-day good Sam, which is infinitely superior to the long, straight hair of pre-amnesia Bad sam. A few more comments, under the cut )

Oh, and what's up with all the pervs being all egg-cited about Hermoine turning 18 today (or rather yesterday, you know what I mean)?

Tried Blue Moon Pizza for dinner tonight. Missed out a few weeks ago when the roomie, C-note, and [livejournal.com profile] clevemire tried it out. Their verdict was it was not very filling. Though when the roomie saw the pizza tonight, it seems the place may have skimped on the toppings when they tried it, because he said there was way more meat on the "Meateor" this time. Anyways, ordered a large pie, half Meateor and half Luna. It wasn't too bad (I especially liked the Luna), but still overpriced. $24 for a pie?! That's 150% to 200% of what a pizza should cost!

Speaking of eating, just watched the latest katemodern (i.e. English LG15) vid, and seriously? Gross! I'm not the healthiest eater in the world, but all that sugary sweetness is fine for dessert or a snack, but you can't have such things for dinner! It'll rot your teeth. And mostly likely give you an upset stomach later. And what's up with English dorks living with cute mixed white-Asian Aussie girls (or at least she looks mixed) and blonde English jailbait (though the actress is actually 24. I guess she only looks underage)?

Oh, finally got to see this week's Riches off the PVR, so now I can comment.

I originally started this post at 1, but then there was an incident that I had to look into. I thought it was nothing, but it actually turned out to be something, so I had to spend the next couple of hours dealing with it. Anyways, on to our originally scheduled programming:

Hmm, one of the new vids on gametrailers is a GT special on the new Nissan GT_R. That is one sweet machine. (frakkin 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, that's unsane! That's like Porsche 911 Turbo performance!) And I didn't realize it would have a semi-automatic transmission. Righteous! I'm glad more of these performance sport cars are having such set ups. Mebbe its because I can't drive stick, but even if I did, it seems better to not have to worry about a pesky clutch pedal. I dunno, mebbe some people like that sort of thing, but I just wanna go fast and not have to deal with all that manual crap during stop and go traffic!

Started playing Yoshimoto in SW2, since he's the only character I have yet to play. Eh, even though he sucks, I feel the need to play him for completeness' sake. (And I felt bad for him, since his l1 title is "lonely buffoon". Truthfully, his moveset isn't horrible. But his special attack is to frickin' play dead! You do r1+tr, and he just collapses on the ground! What use is that?!

Owel, because of the aforementioned incident, I missed the 1am showing of this week's Riches. Yeah, it shows three times between 10pm and 2am, but I missed the first two showings for other reasons. I caught the first ten minutes, though all I recall was DiDi's plaid skirt was of the proper short length!

Heh, I'm getting old. I'm such a square )
