Jormungand- Finally finished this up. Heh, I'm not an avid anime watcher, I've only watched a handful of series (although thinking about it, I've seen a lot more than I think- certainly not as much as an actual anime fan, but prolly way more than the average person) but it does seem like a lot of anime create a cool and interesting world, introduce awesome characters I like, have them have fun adventures... for the first 3/4 of the series. Then the shows seem to get into "the real plot", and its often some crazy philosophical bs that I just don't agree with. Maybe its a cultural thing, like I'd see eye to eye with the sentiments more if I was Japanese or something.
But yeah, there's nothing wrong with an overarching arc, I enjoy shows like that. Its just a lot of the times, I do not like where that arc goes. ( spoiler cut )
