Cool, the new guy brought donuts from dough in the box! But he didn't announce it to the rest of the building. So there's a lot left over, which is bad, since I can't help myself. I've already had a powdered jelly, an apple-jelly filled one, a creme-filled chocolate covered one, and an undetermined number of donut holes.
You know what term is overused nowadays? No, this isn't another "jump the shark" rant. Too many people throw around "hot mess" too readily. I think they often prescribe it to situations that are disastrous, but not to hot mess levels!
TV commentary:
Life Unexpected- They sure like parading Britt Robertson around in these skimpy oufits. I mean, in this "candid" behind the scenes vid with the cast on set, they have walking around in a bikini top and short shorts, sucking on a Popsicle and acting all white trash with Math. (Which is kinda weird, given he plays one of her teachers on the show, and not the one she's currently having a thing with)
Glee- So, previews for the songs in the upcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show ep of Glee are out. Pretty good, though its weird that, in "Sweet Transvestite", they change the lyrics so the Frankenfurter is from "Senasational" rather than "Transsexual", Transylvania. I mean, I could understand them changing it to be cleaner, but the song is still "Sweet Transvestite", why would you need to censor "transsexual" when you're throwing around "transvestite"?
Fringe- Wait, Newton is a shapeshifter? I'm trying to remember, was Netwon the head that the shifters were looking for back in first season? Googline around, he was. I figured he was a normal person. Of course, there seems to be a hole in general, like I thought 1st season they established that shifters were unstable and had to constantly change bodies or start having problems? But Broyles' senator friend was apparently a shifter for 5 years? And Paul Giamatti's brother seemed like he was with his current "family" for a long time too.
And wait, do the people at Massive Dynamic know Walter's history, and that he is a mad genius? Or are they like holding their tongues and not voicing their "WTF?" opinions at how some crazy old kook is now their boss?
And interesting, so Peter definitely knows something is off with Olivia. But it seems like he's trying to figure out why she's off, but it doesn't seem to me that he's thought of the simplest conclusion, that Fauxlivia replaced his Olivia. Because if that were the case, I would think he'd start trying to trip her up, rather than outright tell her, "Something's been weird about you ever since we came back!"
I mean, look at alt-Charlie. he knows things are off with Olivia, but he's keeping it quiet and testing her. And no offense to Charlie, but I think Peter is smarter than him, so why would he tip his hand like that if he suspected Olivia was a fake? Which to me says he doesn't think she's a fake, that he just thinks something weird has happened. But again, he's a smart guy, so I would think if anyone could make the logical leap that weird acting Olivia=her being replaced, it would be him!
In any case, apparently she bones him to occupy his mind?

Date: 2010-10-16 03:49 am (UTC)I don't think there are any cases where the simplest conclusion is that the Olivia from an alternate universe has replaced her. Incidentally, I don't know if you used it before, but the second I saw Fauxlivia used on one of those gay* TV websites a while back, I knew you were going to use it. But I really do hate the sorry state of TV websites since TV Squad redesigned and started posting spoilers all willy-nilly. I'd almost start my own if I wasn't lazy and a poor writer.
* I was going to say vvv("Not gay homosexual..."), but since they all are crazy for Glee and the CW, they totally could be. And who puts It's Always Sunny... as a "pass" in a watch/dvr/pass thing?
