Psych- Seriously, while I'm amused by obscure references, sometimes Shawn makes insanely obscure ones. I mean, "Don't be the Fine Young Cannibal's Cover of Suspicious Minds"? What the frak does that even mean?! Speaking of that cover though, why does Xavier St. Cloud sing the words funny? And why is the guitarist (or is it bassist?) dancing like a crazy person? Seriously, what's going on with his legs? I don't get it!
In any case, how clunky was the whole Shawn revealing his feelings for Juliet over the wire? Did he not know he was being monitored? Or that she was listening? I suppose its possible, but it was still a lame way to move things forward on the Shules front.
Oh, and Richard Alpert seems like a nice guy, but he's also kinda a douche with his whole, "I'm so rich!" thing.
Anyways, for some reason, had the urge to see Resident Evil Afterlife today. It was okay, but what the hell is with it setting up yet another sequel?! How many more of these damn movies are they gonna make? The opening scene was interesting, with all the Alice clones. And I realize they're her clones, but she seems pretty blase about all of them getting wiped out. rjv('Cold blooded!') I'm also amused how they try to even things out in the movie by Wesker quickly and easily injecting her with something that neutralized the T-cells in her, so she loses all he powers so things will be a challenge for her again.
They do have some nice callbacks to the games, with the chest device from RE5, and Chris showing up. But there wasn't really much character development on that front. Its like he and Claire meet up, but they characters could be total strangers for all we care, as they hardly interact at all, much less seem sibling-ish, unless you count them teaming up to take on Wesker.
Heh, when it seemed like they killed off Luther, I was all, "Oh, so only the whiteys get to survive? I see how it is!" But he ends up showing up in the end, separate from everyone else when Jill attacks. So they definitely set up a sequel there. (It does suck they killed off the cute Aussie chick)
Speaking of Jill, hey, Sienna Guillory, even if she's only in this for a short sequence during the end credits, looks pretty hot in the RE5 Jill cat-suit. And you know, Spencer Locke is pretty cute looking when they have her eyebrows under control. I guess I always find thick brown eyebrows and blond hair totally distracting, but it wasn't as noticeable here. But that could've just been the lighting.
