Leverage- Hey, its Anna from the Vampire Diaries! Not that I didn't know she was gonna be in this since she'd been tweeting about it for weeks. But this was a refreshing ep. Usually when it looks like the team is in huge trouble, that was always their plan all along. But this week, their scam was legitimately effed. I mean, they've walked into traps before, like in the eps involving Romo Lampkin, but I think this is one of the few times they've had the tables turned on them. Sure, they got by through the skin of their teeth, but they had to, since they're the protagonists of the story. I just like that occasionally, them being in trouble isn't all part of the plan, and it all just wasn't a ruse.
I can't believe Hardison didn't realize that was gonna cause problems given the way Parker was interacting with Josie. Particularly after hearing the story about how she got burned when she was a kid. Anyone could see Parker totally saw herself in the girl, and that she wouldn't let Josie get caught up with the rest of the thieves. I figured he'd be all "Nate, we might have a problem..." when he saw Parker hanging with the girl, but apparently he was oblivious! Although I would think Parker could come up with a better way to protect the girl without getting them all exposed. I mean, if she saw herself in the girl, wouldn't she think teenage her might warn her fellow thieves to get in good with them back then?
In any case, it was kinda amusing to get some more back story on Parker, even if it was a little ridiculous. I mean, she was a getaway driver before she was 12?! I mean, its not outside of the realm of possibility, since there has been a news story or two about kids that age stealing a car and taking it for a joyride. So at the very least, I can believe her as a car thief, but a skilled enough driver to escape police pursuit?! Ah'm skeptical!
My Boys- Quick shallow comment- in Mike's defense, the cop and fed chyx were pretty cute, so I can see how he might be confused.
Oh, and while I am amused by this vid, it does seem a little mean to poke fun at a guy who was just ranting about the danger in his neighborhood.
