You know, even though some people are weirded out that Zoe from Caprica used to be Original Egg, I thought she was kinda cute on Caprica. Plus, this vid of her licking a larley-pop is spcv('Nice!')

Also kinda hot? Megan Fox in the new Jonah Hex trailer.

TV commentary:

30 Rock- What is the 3rd upcoming wedding Liz is referring to? There's Cerie's, and Grizz's, is it Floyd's?

The Office- You know, I can't fault Michael's idiocy this ep too much. I mean, I think even someone not as socially inept as Michael would have trouble reading the signals Amy Pietz was giving. I think Pam was right, that lady would've left a long time ago if she wasn't in any interested in Michael, given the number of times he tried to kiss her. I mean, whoring yourself out for printers is one thing, but only a total bitch would be that dedicated to getting a deal on a printer given the incredible amount of awkwardness.

Is it wrong to want to nail Erin because she's relatively cute and kinda slow? Of course, her naivete might not be a good thing.

Fringe- Interesting, if odd episode. I mean noir meets musical? So nothing of any consequence really happens as its mainly Astrid and Walter watching Ella as Liv looks for Peter and Walter telling little Ella a story to entertain her. Heh, I'm kinda curious if Walter named Astrid's story counterpart "Esther Fragglesworth" because he actually did think that was her name. I mean, he didn't change anyone else's name.

Anyways, it was neat to actually see them reference Chance, albeit briefly. And I was kinda amused when Walter's story had Rachel getting her heart cut out, and Ella being, "That's not right!" and when Walter asks why, Astrid is all, "maybe because its her mother?", Ella responds all, "Oh, I don't care about that", she was just offended because true love is supposed to win out.

But all in all, it was such a sad story and an obvious metaphor for Walter's heartbreak over Peter leaving. And it was kinda sweet that Ella changed Walter's really sad ending to a happy one.

Actually, I guess there was one thing that happened that had relevance to the main plot. After the story and Astrid took Walter home, the Observer seems a little perturbed over Peter's disappearance and that Walter had forgotten the warning that Peter was important, as if events are not progressing as the Observers expected.

Oh, forgot to mention, I liked the mix of 40s and modern tech in this- the old cars, but everyone having smartphones, Nina's desk having the old style phone but the modern computer, etc.

Vampire Diaries- The whole Stefan weaning off the blood part was a little boring, though illuminating. So in 1864, he and Damon tried to rescue Katherine, but their dad killed them and they turned since they had Katherine's blood in their system. But Stefan wanted to die and he went to see his dad before hand, and he ends up reflexively defending himself, which caused his dad to stake himself, and all the blood awakened the hunger in him and he drained his dad. Then he compels a woman for Damon so he can complete the transformation into Vampire. Stefan wants he and his brother to conquer the world together, but Damon is a little pissed that Katherine shared her gift with both of them (and not just him), so he's all, I'm gonna spend eternity making your life hell.

Anyway, all this guilt Stefan's been carrying, he resolves to walk into the sunlight and kill himself, but Elena manages to talk him back from the brink.

Damon and Alaric go off and have cool adventures, investigating a lead about Uncle John. They actually have a fun chemistry together and make a pretty cool team when they forget they hate each other. They actually have a bonding moment over their shared search for the women they love (Isobel for Alaric and Katherine for Damon), about how they're chumps for continually trying to find answers while being scared of what those answers are gonna end up being. Alaric eventually remembers he hates Damon and asks to be alone so he can mope, having resolved to stop trying to find out about Isobel. So who of course should show up at the end, but Isobel. Ooh, I can't wait to see next week's ep.

The saddest part of the ep involves Anna and Pearl. So, Anna's transferring to the school for Jeremy and they're getting all lubby-dubby. Pearl has a meeting with Uncle John, and man he is such a dick to her. He acts all charming, then he teases her about Jonathan regretting killing her and how he still truly loved her, and once he sees Pearl all touched, he pulls out the rug all, "I'm effin' with you, he hated your guts!" Pretty bold to talk to a centuries old vampire like that, even if he has a ring of invulnerability.

Anyways, she tells him she gave the device to Damon because he doesn't want him to have it, and then goes home and tells Anna they have to leave because there is no chance of peace with the humans. So, Anna takes off, angry, since she's wanting to be with Jeremy. Lucky for her, I guess, since Uncle John shows up with a stake gun and kills Pearl and Harper. Which people are calling shenanigans on, and I have to agree. For one thing, they showed how keen vamp senses are, Anna was able to hear Jenna all the way down in the kitchen while she was getting busy with the germ, so how could Uncle John sneak up on Pearl. Two, Vampires are insanely fast, a powerful vamp like her should've been able to pluck that stake out of the air before it killed her. Its like he was far enough away with it that he could snipe Pearl, but close enough that it was too quick of a shot for her to grab it, and I don't think that's possible unless that gun is insanely fast and accurate.

But yeah, so sad, so Anna returns to find her mother and Harper dead, and cries over her mom just like a real daughter would, begging her to wake up and not leave her. It must be especially traumatizing, since she had just gotten her mom back after being apart from her for almost 150 years. I wonder what she's gonna do? I hope they don't kill her off, because I like her character.

Also, I'm curious how the rest of Uncle John's convo with Sheriff Forbes goes after he calls her and says, "about that vampire problem...". Is he gonna say he took care of it, and show Pearl and Harper's bodies as proof, which I assume would out Anna. Or is he going to burn the Salvatore brothers?
