TV commentary:
Bones- Okay, having the cuter Deschanel sister on as stunt casting is fine, but did everyone have to be all, "seconds cousins? You look like you could be sisters!" We get it, they're sisters in real life!
Dollhouse- Is it me, or have these past few eps been amazing? I was a little surprised they did a 3 month jump there. So somehow Helo finds Echo and they start training to take the Dollhouse down, while somehow Lundy usurps control of the LA House from Adele? Interesting little plot thread there though, where Topher saw some of the stuff River was working on in DC and figured that all the Dollhouse techies were separately working on the pieces needed to be able to do remote imprinting on non-Dolls. But Topher being the genius he is, figured out how to do all that on his own? I can't believe he showed that to Adele though! How did he not know she was gonna use that to get back in the good graces of Rossum?!
As for him not destroying the plans once he came up with them, I can see why he didn't. Yeah, he realizes he's created something really bad that could destroy the world, but at the same time, how could you just destroy such amazing insight? Besides, what if someone else came up with it? Wouldn't it be wise to have the plans on how such a thing would work to figure out a countermeasure if the need arose?
So, Alpha returns, and its kinda hilarious that he was able to just break into the Dollhouse with impunity. But I think he prolly always could, its just it didn't suit his needs. Like last year, he didn't need to break into the Dollhouse himself, he needed to get Ballard into the Dollhouse to run interference for his true nefarious plan. And it was interesting that he had been shadowing them all those months. He prolly could just've cut Ballard's throat if he wished and grabbed Echo again, but it didn't suit his plans. He has been busy though, slaughtering a handful of clients, implanting a virus in Sierra and purposely letting them know he had been in contact with her so they'd freak out and re-wipe everyone one and really just implant a sleeper imprint on all the dolls to turn them into crazy killing machines laying waste to the Dollhouse (cool that Topher has move further with his disruptor and made a remote wipe blaster, it proved quite useful).
But it should've clicked from the beginning though that Ballard would be #1 on his list when it was clear Alpha was going after people Echo "loved". Particularly the way Echo kept trying to throw herself at him. Interesting though, part of the reason he doesn't want to do her because he still sees "Echo" as a "thing" residing in Caroline's body, so I suppose he feels its akin to rape. But if for him restoring Caroline (well, all the dolls) is the endgame, wouldn't that effectively kill what he knows as Echo? But its Echo who he's interacting with! And Alpha is all, he loves her b/c he's resisting the urge to frak her, isn't he loving a girl who doesn't exist and won't if they're successful? But if all that happened to her would mean if Caroline did come back, she would just become a part of the amalgam that is currently Echo, then Echo as she is is just an incomplete version of what she would become restored, then is it really that shady if they did it?
I heard a spoiler about someone getting totally mindwiped tonight, I did not expect it to be Ballard! I mean, if Epitaph One is to be believed, isn't he still around? I guess they could capture Alpha and restore him. That being said, the whole Ballard consciousness temporarily taking over seemed suspect. Was he telling her to kill him? Or did the whole "Do you trust me?" thing mean something else and he wanted to leave and be part of this Alpha amalgam to somehow help their endgame? Because it would be suspect that he "took over" to try and "hold" Alpha so Echo could kill him, because she was about to kill him without his help, and all that he succeeded in doing was preventing her from killing him.
