TV Commentary:

Reaper- Heh, I find it hilarious that Sock got baited into admitting to Kristen's father that he banged her. But I guess she was always intending to leave, so her father finding out had nothing to do with it? And I might've missed it, but was Ben scared of flying in general, or having Nina fly him around?

And how dumb are they that they thought the devil would let it go? And was Morgan implying that the whole story about the works being mucked up and the Ender (or whatever the hell it was called) being sent was all BS to get them to let their guards down so Morgan could get to the soul and Sam didn't have to feel guilty about being the one to do it? Though it is odd that the devil would allow Sam that. Then again, I guess he picks his battles and it would be more of a hassle to try and force Sam to do it than come up with this little ruse. Plus, it has the added bonus of making him think everything is okay, and pulling the rug out from under them. He is the devil after all.

90210- is it lame that when Annie and Dixon were thinking of road trip music, and Annie wanted to listen to "Rent", and Dixon "The Beastie Boys", I woulda gone with the former? And is it ridiculous to have both the movie soundtrack and the original broadway cast recording? I mean, some of the songs slightly differ, and obviously there's a different Mimi and Joanne. Oh and this show can be so cliche and lame sometimes, I'm surprised they didn't have Donna make a reference/joke about David killing robots or time traveling. I guess they don't say when they separated (although it was obvious from the way Donna was being evasive), but it seems weird that Kelly and Silver are only hearing about it now. I mean, I know Donna is Kelly's best friend. But isn't David Erin's half brother and Kelly's ex-step-brother? Its not like he's a stranger, he's family. I guess its not something they want people to know, but given how Kelly and Silver are connected to them, you'd think full disclosure is better to avoid an awkward happening.

I can't believe they had Diablo Cody on as stunt casting. I guess I can only see her being Silver's idol. I guess I don't know how to deal with bi-polar people, but it seems Kelly was going a little overboard. Yeah, you prolly don't want them getting too excited, but her method of "doing what's best for Silver's own good, even if she ends up resenting Kelly" doesn't seem so great either. Wouldn't that just lead to frustration, causing Silver to possibly seek to do something that would cause her to freak out again? Ida know, it seemed like you'd want a balance, but it seemed like the ep was acting like Kelly wasn't actually going overboard.

Okay, I also thought the Naomi going gaga and dorking out over Liam was silly, but also kinda funny. Well, that an Ethan getting fake high (which was obvious that Liam didn't give him real drugs, just like the nude model Debbie would be photographing would be male. Like didn't Harry wonder why Debbie would be cool with her watching her work?), doubly so when Liam fell into that ditch and sprained his ankle and Ethan wasn't about to help him because it might've been the universe trying to get him to stop being a nice guy.

Fringe- See, between this past week's House and Fringe (and the Dollhouse a couple of weeks ago), it just reinforces my annoyance with these young, idealist student activist types. (Or at least the TV-version of such people). Like who actually breaks into labs to free the animals? That's how zombie (okay, Rage-infections) outbreaks happen!

But I was also reminded when I read last week's TWoP recap about Peter mentioning Roadblock and how he wasn't "one of your top-tier" G.I.Joes! What the hell is he talking about?! I would bet he's definitely top 5 on a list of Joes people who are even only passingly familar with G.I.Joe can name! Its always been him, Duke, Scarlett, and Snake Eyes who were the most popular. Its the main archetypes! Roadblock (though I guess a whole new generation of kids know him as Heavy Duty, as I explained in a previous post) is the big strong black guy, Duke's the corny whitebread Mr. All American Hero, Scarlett's the hot chick, and Snake Eyes is the silent bad-ass.

Their error this week? Confusing .50 AE and .50 BMG rounds. Yeah, there are .50 cal incendiary rounds used by heavy machine guns and sniper rifles chambered for .50 BMG, but not in .50 AE which is a pistol round used by handguns like the Desert Eagle (though I guess there are some conversions of the M4 carbine that are chambered for it, and that would be hard hitting, but not .50 cal incendiary round hard-hitting), which is what they ended up using for hunting.

Ooh, the beginning was so deliciously cruel. Peter calls Olivia up at night, and at first she's worried, then when she figures out nothings wrong and he's just calling, you can tell she's all flattered and egg-cited. But then he asks to speak to her sister. HA!! You know she was so jealous!

And we finally get to meet Charlie's wife. But what's up with her not picking up something was wrong when he called her? Boy would she have had egg on her face had the Fringe team not saved him.

And what did they mean he'd crap the gross Chimera larvae out? Weren't they squirming around all around his chest cavity? Oh, and that's like one of the grossest things ever, it still freaks me out thinking about it.

The sting was in his chest, but they kept pointing the ultrasound at his gut, with small intestines definitely appearing in the picture. No idea whether the crapping out was for real though.
