geebsWhat the frick, have I shifted realities again and ended up in Bizarro world?! So my aunt in the Philippines somehow got a hold of my number and calls me up out of the blue! (I guess the parentals gave it to her, though it doesn't seem like them to do so, but who else could have given it?) Anyhoo, remember how I said she was trying to fix me up with that beauty pageant winner chick? Since no one mentioned anything about it again, I thought that was over and done with! Apparently not!
So I take the call, and wonder if they're trying to hit me up for money or something again. But no, the girl is apparently in the States currently, visting some relatives in Florida. I'm like okay, what does this have to do with me? Well, apparently they're getting her to fly up to Atlanta this weekend and meet me. Its like okay, thanks for just telling me now! And apparently (I sure am using that word a lot this post) its not like she has a lot of money, so even though someone (her family? it couldn't be my relatives) was able to spring for a round trip ticket from Orlando to Atlanta, she doesn't have a place to stay. So I'm supposed to entertain some 20 year old hottie who my foreign relatives are trying to fix me up with for some reason over the weekend (I'm a boring loser, and Atlanta isn't exactly the entertainment capital of the world!) I'm supposed to put her up too? I'm sure the roomie will be thrilled with that!
And that's not even the end of the craziness! That dream last night might have been prophetic. (or one could argue, since its the product of the subconscious, I was taking stuff from real life and subconsciously analyzing them and the dreams represent my thoughts on the matter). Anyhoo, I made an obtuse post a few weeks ago, I think only one person would get because they were the only one privy to all the pertinent information. But anyways, I reconnected with an old friend from HS. She was the girl I thought might've had a thing for me but I was too chicken to find out. So we'd been conversing through e-mail, and I tried to subtly probe to see if I wasn't imagining things back then. I thought I got my answer (I was) so the comment was about that.
Its like, okay, whatever, a little embarassing, and kinda a blow to my ego, but what can you do? But we'd still been writing back and forth after that. Now, I hadn't actually outright asked her how she felt back then, I just figured from my what I see now were pretty obtuse questions that she didn't feel that way about me back in HS. Mebbe they were too obtuse, or I'm just a moron, but I was apparently (there's that word again!) off. Recently, we were reminiscing about prom, and she admitted she thought I was "kinda cute" (really?!) back then and woulda gone with me had I asked. Okay, I guess that's a far cry from her having had a thing for me. But her e-mails do seem a little more flirty lately (or is that my imagination again repeating itself after 15 years?). Well, that and complaining about her life and her job and her husband. So I'm like totally freaking out. She's married, with a kid! What if her husband see this? Now, having watched too much TV and movies, my minds going into overdrive with that dozens and dozens of different (and mostly implausible) scenarios.
How did I go from having no play, to getting fixed up with a foreign cutie and possibly getting into a ccv('Inappropriate!') situation with a married chick. This is crazy, and I'm not sure what to do about either. Well I have some ideas, but this entry is already getting long, and I haven't even gotten to TV commentary yet, so I'll spare y'all with a cut.

TV commentary:
OTH- Hmm, nice to see that Sam and Jack can joke about the time before Brooke became her foster mother when Sam tried to shoplift from her and she got caught and kicked out of the store, so she complained to Jack, which he took as a sign to break into her store at night and beat the crap out of her and cause her enough psychological damage to go after her mom with a gun because she thought it was a henchman sent by her mother as some sort of ploy to steal away her company. WTF?! I know Brooke's forgiven them by now, but when they're wondering about how to handle the principal, Sam telling Jack, "And I don't mean donning ski-masks and beating the crap out of her!" seems a little ccv('Inappropriate!')
Anyways, I dunno what Julian was thinking. I don't think its just a matter of Brooke being cautious with her heart. She's only known him for a month, and he wants her and Sam to pack up and move with him to LA?! Their lives are in Tree Hill! (And doesn't that mean Jack would be back to living on the streets?!) Sure, they want to believe it will work out, but if it doesn't, that kinda puts Brooke and Sam in a fine mess. They should try the long distance thing first, instead of jumping straight to that.
And Mouth is a stronger man than I. They're on a break, and Millie slept with Owen, he prolly coulda gotten away with hooking up with Gigi. Ah, and it seems Peyton is going the macabre route? Even though she tells Lucas she'll survive the pregnancy, she's getting a memory box ready for her kid so they'll know their mom? Well, I guess its good sense just in case, but it still a little dark.
NCIS- Is it me, or was it totally obvie that the accountant guy was the real mastermind? Though I was confused if the guy had tricked them into putting out that hit on his #2, or if they did it by accident. I guess he showed them the website and prolly explained some of the terms to Abby and Mcgee, so I guess he prolly did do it purposely.
Reaper- Heh, so now Sam has to take care of zombie fake dad now? That would be kinda creepy. And they told him to stay in the garage, but aren't they worried about Kristen walking in there? Speaking of, Sock trying to take drugs to suppress his inappropriate urges?! That's crazy! But ha, she stops him from taking the drugs because she doesn't want him to change. How deliciously cruel!
Anyways, apparently one can get preggers in hell?! At first, when the devil was all, "how stupid do you think I am?" there at the end, I thought it meant he wasn't going to fall for Sam's ploy. But I guess its he knows Sam is trying to blow smoke up his ass about the baby growing up evil and corrupting more souls just to buy time, and that Tony's nurturing care (isn't he still a demon though?) will turn her good? And while he knows Sam is trying to play him, he thinks what Sam is saying is actually gonna end up being true, even though Sam is just BS-ing him?
Owel, and Andie knows Sam is the devil's son now, thanks to the devil's other douchey-son, who's trying to hook up with her. It is understandable that he was scared to tell her, but at the same time, he had to know he'd been in deep crap when she found out Sock and Ben knew.
90210- Ah, as I suspected earlier, Silver is indeed nutso! Wouldn't she get in really deep crap for her film, as she basically screened child pr0n (I think both she and Dixon are still underage) for her classmates?! I'm guessing Matthews has figured out she has deep problems. But I wonder when Dixon and the rest of his family will figure out she is seriously mental.
And wait, so Ethan still considered him and Annie together? I thought they were done! But did he seriously pull the Kelly Taylor "I choose me!" route when he said he's just gonna give up on girls until he finds himself, so he's not getting with Annie or Rhonda?
Ah, and so bad-boy Liam is a street racer? And he acts dumb, but he's really smart, but doesn't think you can learn anything useful in school, you have to learn it out in the gritty world? So he's one of those people?
SVU- Weird, Uriel being on HIMYM Monday, and now SVU Tuesday? Well, I think of him as Uriel because of Supernatural, but apparently he's another Wire guy like Abaddon (the Lost one/Broyles on Fringe, not Brian Cox' character on Kings) and the new VP on the Office? Though I guess Holly is another Office guest star who's a Wire person as well? Its not a show I watched. Anyways, the ep wasn't too bad for the first 40 minutes. But when things got resolved that early, it was obvious something else was going to happen. The whole guy going crazy because they were gonna deport him back seems tacked on. I mean, didn't they say he was fighting the whole denial of asylum appeal. And its not like he was hiding really, he had a legal address.
So after all that craziness, THAT'S when immigration finally decided to deport him?! It just seemed like unnecessary drama. And while I do feel for the plight of those child soldiers in Africa, was it me, or did it seem a little too heavy handed. Other shows have done eps about the subject, but this ep seemed to be trying too hard.
