They got high on ABBA and tiny meatballs
Dec. 18th, 2008 08:55 amOops, overslept today because I apparently forgot to turn my alarm on. I was not amused when I woke up and saw my clock said "722". On the up side, since I woke up naturally, I assume my body has gotten all the sleep it needed for the night.
So, whoever came up with the idea to market the NES controller belt buckle, did they just think it was an interesting thing to make as a belt buckle, or were they paying homage to Captain N, the game-master?
And wait, they're doing a Cowboy Bebop live action movie, and Spike is going to be played by Keanu Reeves?! I can't fault Hollywood for wanting to make Cowboy Bebop though. Its a popular series, and there's no real weirdness going on, so it would be very easy for Western audiences to get into. I mean, its about bounty hunters in a futuristic/cyber-punkish world. And the protagonist (well, one of) is a bad-ass martial artist/gunfighter/ace pilot. So cool gunfights and martial arts sequences, as well as space dogfights? How would that not make for an awesome sci-fi action movie? I'm not sure about Keanu as Spike though. I wonder who they'll get for Faye though?
TV commentary:
Pushing Daisies- Besides Orlando Jones (what has he been up to lately?) as the head Norwegian, they had that one chick as the chick Norwegian. Surely she's a that girl, because she's like in everything. Or at least a lot of TV shows and movies I've seen. I continue to be sad that this series has been cancelled, because it seems like they have a lot of new plotlines they're going into, but will obviously not get resolved before the last ep. bbv('This is total BS!')
Wow, everything on Dexter got resolved neatly and everything worked out for everyone. Miguel and King are dead, Ramon is in jail, Deb gets her shield and gets back together with Anton. And Dex and Rita get married, though the ep ends with him bleeding on her dress as they dance their first dance, which is supposedly an omen? All in all though, there's no pressing cliffhangers going on. I mean, Ramon is in jail and knows there's something up with Dex, but not what. LaGuerta is sitting on the whole Miguel killed Ellen thing. And Deb has the files of her dad's CIs, so she doesn't know who Harry had been sleeping with yet. So there are open threads, but nothing that has you on the edge of your seat.
