Today was a holy day of obligation, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, but luckily church is just across the street from work. Since I haven't been on weekend shift for a while, haven't been to the GT Catholic Center since Father Mario retired. So this is the first time seeing the guy who took over. Apparently, he has a brother who works at GTRI who is a deacon. Though it is odd that the pastor spoke normal, but his brother was extremely southern accented. I mean, when he was reading, he sounded like the stereotypical Southern lawyer all, "I don't know how they do things in the big city..." It was surprisingly crowded, and there were more than a few cuties. Like I was sitting next to this mad cute blond who kinda looked like Aimee Teegarden from FNL with an incredible singing voice (well, she did sing the hymns real well) who I couldn't stop noticing because she kept running her fingers through her silky hair. (yeah, that wasn't a creepy sounding sentence I just wrote) But alas, she had a douchebag looking boyfriend, who must've noticed me checking her out, because he got all protective of her when we went up for communion.
TV commentary:
Ah, pretty clever trick on Dexter. Because of the whole Miguel talking to the Skinner and the Skinner watching, I thought it was the Skinner who grabbed him. But nope, it was Masuka (really? I'm surprised he was able to blitz Dex like that!), taking him to his bachelor party. Speaking of, he managed to bed that Tammy chick, but then he starts freaking out because he thinks she's way out of her league. But then Batista runs a background check on her for Vince, and she has anger management issues, which is fine, because then she's flawed and totally in his league. HA!
There's a break in the Skinner case, when Anton tells Deb GW King took his change, and they figure out because of the bad cell reception around his hideout, that the Skinner was making calls on the payphone outside. I'm kinda suspicious of Quinn though. Well, I've always been suspicious of him, but when they were chasing GW, it seemed like there were so many times Quinn could've gotten him. But then the Skinner gives Quinn only a "superficial" cut? Given how skilled he is with a blade, I'm skeptical!
Oh, but Dex ends up revealing that Harry cheating on their mom (well, Deb's mom) with one of his CIs (Dex's mom). I totally forgot Deb wouldn't know that. But she's looking up her pops' CIs, I wonder if she'll find out about Dex? But ha, Dex being all, "You said you always wanted to be like dad!" over Deb sleeping with Anton, that's awesome. But he does make Deb his best man, since he's over Miguel.
Speaking of Miguel, LaGuerta's figured out he killed Ellen. So Miguel makes it obvious he's going after her next, so Dex captures Miguel and kills him. But not before revealing he was the one who killed Oscar. And he did it in such a cool way- "I killed my brother. I killed yours too" in response to Miguel's "I think of you as a brother" to Dex.
On Gossip Girl, so the big secret was that there's a secret Lily/Rufus love child out there. I knew it! Though it took all friggin ep for it to be revealed! But ah, I did find it weird that Dan was invited to the funeral. Like him being there wouldn't be awkward. Less awkward than Rufus being there, but still. Thought I forgot no one else but Chuck, Rufus, and Lily knew about Rufus and Lily rekindling things.
But that's so rich, just when Rufus and Lily are thinking about getting back together, that's when Serena is starting to have feelings for Dan again. That's awesome. But at least this time she tells her mom to go for it. I still don't see why they all can't go for it.
Are all the people on the Baker staff gay? I mean, the cook and the butler are pretty effeminate. Though with the girls (especially Rose, and her cute little outfits. Adorable comes easy to her indeed) prancing around all the time, if they weren't gay, they'd prolly go nuts from the blue balls. But yeah, it was so obvious Luis wasn't fired! I'm surprised Sage didn't figure out that obvious ruse!
But that's hilarious, Megan follows Will's advice to be nice to her mom for her dad's sake. And she does, because she thinks its only for an afternoon. But then her parents 30th anniversary goes well, and since she and her mom had some good bonding time, her mom decided to stay a little while. HA! They had Mandy notice in a previous ep, but now Will figures that Charlie and Megan are really close as well, particularly since they go to each other with their problems rather than their SOs.
