Ha, I am such an idiot! The reason I was sticking with certain color schemes for the character's outfits in Soul Calibur was because some equipment had a duller color palette than others. Thus, it seemed only by doing white or black would the colors seem to match. Well, I saw toying around with the colors today, and I only now just freakin' realized you could adjust the brightness of the color palettes! So I was all egg-cited because now I could color coordinate things with different colors than I'd been using! Now the characters I made look much better now, IMO.

TV commentary:

Ha, just like I initially didn't recognize Tom as being Jake from Melrose because of the cheesy 70s mustache, I totally didn't realize Janet's possibly queer pal from work was Tobey from Dawson's Creek. HA!! I thought his voice sounded familiar, so I looked it up. I guess in addition to the mustache, his hair is totally different. I mean, even on Crossing Jordan and his really brief appearance on Angel, his hair was the same. But on Swingtown his hair is red and parted to the side.

But onto some spoiler comments: I like the side of Trina we got to see this ep. Usually things just roll off her, and everyone thinks she's so cool and collected. But then she finds out she's preggers and is worried about what Tom will think, but meanwhile everyone is all "I wish I could be like you, not a care in the world!" And they legitimately are trying to give her a complement there, but in her situation she's kinda reading it as condescending. She has problems too! And at the end, when she tries to tell Tom, he's all, "Ha ha, very funny!" so she chickens out and let's him think its just a strange joke. Too bad the previews for next week reveal that he's going to be totally fine with it!!

And I'm a little skeptical of Trina's sureness that Tom is the father. Their marriage didn't seem to be closed that long, it seemed like a matter of less than a couple of weeks. Can you really pin down the date of conception to within a week?!

Interesting, with Roger's job offer and Sam's aunt trying to get custody of her, its like things are coming to a head. Interesting, Ricky's jealousy seems less gay this ep and more like he is just afraid that once BJ and Sam really start going out, he'll be left all alone and friendless. I do find it interesting the way they're trying to ship Sam off. Its not like her mom is marrying some guy and they have to move to another city, its that her mom is so messed up the aunt wants to take custody of Sam for her safety! But I just realized, Ricky gave Sam the CB so she and BJ can talk to each other, but what's he gonna do when he finds out he's possibly moving away also?

I'm also interested to know if Roger is gonna tell Janet about the offer before next episode. He's waiting on Susan to give him a reason to stay, but I think telling Janet will make it final. Once she gets wind of it, there's no way she's gonna let him reconsider, since she thinks him getting a job again will "get things back to normal". Well, at least I assume she'd be all, "you're taking the job!" She did just get her own job offer. Which is why I'm curious what her reaction would be. It seems like even though the advice column thing is a great opportunity for her, she'd put it aside for Roger.

But Susan is taking the high road, even though Roger is totally going to do Melinda. Though what's with the reaction shot when she see's his briefcase there. She heard him talking on the phone, she knew he was leaving to see Melinda and totally lying about the briefcase. I guess seeing the briefcase did make it real. I guess she could've just lied to herself and say he really did go to the office, but seeing that, she can't anymore.

One thing I'll mention out of the cut. I totally glossed over the fact that Susan didn't know Roger was a Cubs fan, not a White Sox fan, but the forums were all, that's pretty bad. And thinking about it, I guess not knowing your husband's favorite sports team after 17+ years of marriage is weird. Even if you yourself aren't into sports, it seems like something one would end up knowing just by spending time with them.

Oh, saw commercials for Simon Baker's Mentalist show coming out this season. They try to act like he's something special, but isn't what he does the same thing as Monk or Shawn Spencer or that one chick detective on Lifetime or We or whatever? They are also very observant, its nothing we haven't seen on TV before. And unlike the "painfully cute mugging" of Psych, he seems rather obnoxious with his gift.
